Signed up for this studio over the phone. I had to cancel my membership one month in after being called away from the area to help an elderly parent . No exception no freeze. Could not recommend Club Pilates enough! Trying something new can be daunting, especially a group-style workout, but Maria did such a wonderful job making me feel welcome, especially as a newbie to Pilates. Maria walked us through each movement with patience, care, and understanding. The whole Club Pilates team, including Ellen and Chris, was also so inviting and the studio was beautiful! i loved going on my club pilates on riva road. Its so relaxing to do an hour session and worth money to pay for membership. The staff and instructor are friendly. I highly recommended this location and the session itself. I agree with the other user that this studio caters to the 40-60 range...actually, since I'm almost 40 and nearly fell asleep during the "intense" cardio workout I tried, I'd say 50-70. It did cross my mind that the class was about the right level for my 74 year old mother while I was taking it. Not for anyone under 40 who really wants to break a sweat during their workout. Also, don't be fooled by their "free class" advertising unless you're happy doing the intro class, which I can only imagine is a yawn fest given that the "cardio" class they upgraded me to when I mentioned I wasn't a beginner was easier than most beginner classes I've taken on the reformer. My option after taking the class was to either buy a costly subscription or pay $35 for a class that barely gave me a workout. I get that they have to cover costs, but the free test class is a traditional courtesy provided by most studios so clients like me don't feel cheated after being lured into a studio with false advertising. Sure, if I had liked the class I would have paid any amount to come back. But making me sit through a low level class and then pay for it--when I never would have stepped foot in the studio had it not been for their flashy 'free class' advertisement--just seems dishonest. read more

Went for the free trial. They said it fills up quickly but there were only 4 of us. Michelle was great! Very informative... we had a great time learning from her. The studio is very clean. Everyone Made us feel welcome. Answered all our questions. The other ladies working were also great( I can't remember their names though- I apologize) The lady explaining pricing ( assistant manager i believe) was very knowledgeable and great. read more

Very poor customer focus, the business and management is focused on making money. When you sign up you are locked into three months and can not discontinue if you are injured or don't want to continue plus you have to give 30 day notice or pay for another month so even though I wanted to try it out, I'm out 400 and haven't been able to use many of my classes. You have to sign up way in advance to reserve spot and then when life happens and you don't cancel within 2; hours, you loose that money too. Classes are very variable due to instructor and not very challenging. read more

Agree with the other reviewers that the business model is not customer focused and is based on cash flow, not convenience. The "free" class oversold the availability of classes. With my schedule, getting 4 classes in two weeks was hard earned- the scheduling gymnastics are ridiculous. I've been trying to cancel since March as it was clear that the Club oversold the ability to get class time. The vibe isn't so friendly when you want to cancel. Also, if you think you're texting w/ one staff member, it may be another. Also, my credit card info was saved during the first visit, without my permission. Ick. Note that the manager only responds to positive reviews, the few that have been posted since 2017. On the plus side, the equipment and studio are fabulous but it matters not when you can't get into a class. Instructors are a very mixed bag. A very big disappointment. read more

They steal your money! I signed up and gave my cancelation at the same time because I knew I wasn't going to be able to do beyond 30 days. The saleswoman reassured me that she put that into the system and I wouldn't be billed further. She told me I still needed to sign their contract which I did. I've been charged the past few months and they refused to provide a refund even though I confirmed I was set for cancelation at the end of my first month. They are deceptive! read more

I took the free intro class at 7pm so that I could see how it compared to other places before committing to a long term membership. Instructor was great, but I would have liked to have done more and actually get a workout in where I would sweat and push my body a little more. The faculty said this intro class was similar to what level 1 would be like and that they recommended doing at least 10 level 1 classes, so I ended up going with a different place because it felt like they wouldn't advance you in order to keep you paying. Additionally I felt like the front desk staff did not really want to disclose the membership prices or details, but pushed for everyone to blindly commit to a mandatory THREE MONTH membership on top of a whopping $150 registration fee at the end of the intro class. Overall this place seemed like it has a lot of potential but their target audience is clearly not meant for younger people and the business seems like they're just about the money and not the services advertised. read more

The staff at CP Annapolis are professional and responsive. The equipment is in excellent condition, and the facility is always clean. The instructors are well trained, but vary in terms of experience. There are a few very experienced highly qualified instructors. I've been practicing Pilates for greater than 20 years and find this a great place to continue my practice at an affordable price. read more

They need to work on setting up more classes. I was not able to find a spot in a class for a whole month that I ended up paying for. When I went to cancel they made me pay another month worth of classes that I was not able to use. Two months - 318 dollars not used and they would not refund any of it. read more

I enjoy the reformer workouts and facility but the quality of instructors really vary for the higher cost of this program. Many need a lot more instruction & training themselves. They aren't clear in their direction & barely guide you on form other than to say to simply do a particular move which leaves the participants asking questions on technique & poses. I've taken Pilates reformer over the years & recognize experienced staff. I often feel like the instructors are there as their part time, fun jobs plus don't look that fit themselves.
