Tickets are only $10, and that alone, is worth the 5-star review. For less than the price of a couple coffee's or cartons of eggs, you are able to have some really cool interactions with animals. If you want to experience anything else like this, you'll have to drive an hour to the Houston Zoo, pay a lot more money for tickets, deal with crowds/parking/etc. The Learning Zoo is obviously not trying to compare itself to the Houston Zoo, but where else are you going to get to play with goats, pigs, birds, a pony, tortoises and snakes? The location is really hidden behind 1488. You drive through a residential street, and then all the way at the back, you make a couple of turns, and suddenly you're at The Learning Zoo. When you walk in, you are offered some lettuce and carrots for the animals for an additional $10, which is definitely worth it. Plus, they have some animals inside the lobby area - snakes, hedgehogs, other reptiles, etc. Then you head outside to the main part of the experience. You can walk amongst the tortoises, get "attacked" by all of the birds in their sanctuary, join the goats and pigs in their pen, and they even brought out a 14 foot snake for people to hold and take pictures with. Everyone here was incredibly nice, too. We were only there for about 45 minutes, but for $40, it was worth every penny.

I recently began Pilates because I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and I needed to do weight strengthening exercises. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My instructor is fantastic and works with me around my recent knee injury. I enjoy my workouts and feel better when I leave. I highly recommend Club Pilates Grand Oaks. I sent an e-mail and finally got a response from Sandy. When I arrived for my first class, Sandy was blatantly "measuring me up" and making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She was more concerned if I was going to continue with a regular membership or only use the Groupon for 3 classes. Her demeanor was cold, condescending and indifferent, and she made me feel uncomfortable. I was trying to be inviting and light hearted, but her responses were sterile and demeaning. At the end of class she asked for payment and stated, in a "Holier-than-thou" manner, that she had never used Groupon before. I have never before felt so humiliated by someone who works in the service industry. I am Puerto Rican woman and she exhibited every trait of a racist individual. If you are a "Non-White", I would advise you stay away from here.

I've taken Pilates reformer and loved it. This studio is not only inviting, but experienced and knowledgeable as well. A great combo for a place to spend your time working on your body-mind-spirit. Being able to push myself in a warm boutique environment with someone to ask questions to constantly, if I need to, makes me love Pilates even more. And it works for me because of foot surgery last year to remove the arthritis between my toes and the main part of my feet. I cannot put weight directly on top of the balls of my feet. In reformer it's still weight training but with no impact to my feet. It's the only thing that I've found to work for me and it's changing my body every week. So happy that I found this studio.
