Since COVID, they have marked off spots with plenty of space between myself and other clients. Everyone is really respectful of each other's spaces even in the lobby area. The instructor takes everyone's temperature as they enter the studio every class. All of the instructors I had while in town were super friendly! I really enjoyed my classes with Laura. If you have the opportunity, definitely check her out! She is constantly attending to all of the clients while teaching class. She makes sure you have the proper form, working the correct muscles, and then pushes you past your comfort zone to help get the most out of your workout. I had her for most of my classes in town and I never had 2 classes that were exactly the same! I really appreciated this!

My appt was 12:30 - I arrived at 12:40 (because I went to the old address). We started at 12:50. She used a flimsy cardboard emery board (which I could take home with me!! woohoo). No nail clippers to clip any ingrown nails. Honestly, I don't know what she was doing. Even the way she held the paint brush - I thought it was her first time. The nail polish was so goopy- but she didn't say anything until after the first polish, so she got out some tools, tried to get all the nailpolish off my feet and then put more on! I got in my car at 2:28. It's now 8:19 pm and the polish still isn't dry, I can remove it with my fingernail. I'm not a complainer - and if she was new, I should have been told that going in - but the time was ticking and ticking and ticking! Who has 2 hours to spare in the middle of the week!!! (I didn't even have polish that she had to remove). There was no music, no magazines, no books, no tv, just her and I in a room and she wasn't chatty. The only thing I could do is watch the clock. When she was done layering paint, she told me sit there for a few minutes and then leave. Sorry Shape Smart - a 30 minute pedicure shouldn't take almost 2 hours.

The studio is a little bit bigger, which I like and a little bit more secluded in its own shopping area. The classes here get filled up pretty quickly as I believe the lionville area has members. I still enjoy going here when I am not visiting one of the other locations.

The Exton, Frazier, and west whiteland studios have been sold to a venture capital company. Since…read morethe sale, the policies have been changed to the detriment of the members. They now require 50 flow 1.5 classes to move up to level 2 regardless of previous experience or ability. The manager has said that this is a "Club Pilates" policy but that's just not true (check other Club Pilates franchises). She also said that there is a "work around" but they won't let the members know what it entails. No other Pilates classes ( suspend, cardio, control) will count to the total. if you are in shape and skilled, this may not be the franchise for you. In addition there has been high turnover of experienced instructors leading to canceled classes; some of the subs are not great. That being said, in general the instructors that have stayed are really good. The studios are clean and the equipment is in good condition.

I have been to a few classes at Bryn Mawr lately and I was warmly welcomed. My only complaint is there are rarely ever deals to save money on classes, it can get a bit pricy.
