Seemed nice enough when he came out to see the job and give us a quote. He didn't even give us a ballpark figure. He acted like he expected he was coming out to get a signature and a deposit. (It might be an Angi thing. Maybe Angi tells them that they automatically get the job?) I don't now them and they don't have a website. I asked for photos. "We don't have time to take pictures of our finished jobs." References? "We don't give out private information of our customers. You have to trust your contractor." I guess I insulted him...like how dare I ask about his work. I guess his comment to me that I should call his wife to come clean my house wasn't considered an insult in his book. The best experience with Ancelmo. We hired Ancelmo to replace old tiles in our main bathroom with new ones, replaced all old tiles in the walk-in showers with new ones, and the tiles for the bathtub. Also, he pained our ceilings. The work is so nice and beautiful. Ancelmo deserves my best review based on the followings: - He is very responsible. He gave us a quote on Tuesday and he started to work on Thursday. He worked from early mornings to the late afternoons, continuously in the weekdays and in Saturday. - His work is beautiful, nice and neat. Each day when he completed his work, he cleaned everything. All my family members love the newly remodeled bathroom so much. Ancelmo spent around 10 days to renovate two full bathrooms and to paint the bathrooms and the living rooms. He is so efficient. Ancelmo is wonderful. We wanted to get our entryway, kitchen, and bathroom floor ripped up and then tiled. From demo to finish it took him and a teammate only 3.5 days. At one point Ancelmo noticed that our toilet had a crack in it from in the demolition process and he went out to buy the part to fix it before even telling us there was a problem. He is very honest, punctual, polite, hard working, and responds quickly to every communication. I should have written this a year ago. We remodeled our kitchen and replaced all flooring from the front door, down the hall, hall bath, mud room and kitchen. We installed large format porcelain tile which required removing columns, railings and baseboard. they also had to remove glued down luan subfloor under the vinyl and plywood under the existing tile. Ancelmo and his crew arrived when scheduled and completed the project on time. The tile work was expertly installed with little waste. I was a class A contractor and installed a lot of tile myself so I'm speaking from experience. They also installed new wood base and shoe mould, reset rails with nosings at step down areas and cut and reset the columns. CM's pricing was in the middle of 4 estimates but fair, especially considering the outcome. I would have given them 5 stars but....there was some grout left on door trim bases and pencil marks on the tile at cut edges. If I had noticed this at the time, I'm sure Ancelmo would have taken care of it. read more

I recently completed a project with CM Tile in my master bathroom and wanted to spread the word about this independent business. Ancelmo Molina is the owner and he deserves your consideration. Ancelmo was hired to do the following: 1. Demo my master bath (remove floor tile, tub deck tile, shower wall tiles, remove vanity cabinet, vanity top and two sinks) 2. Install new floor tile, tub deck tile with a mosaic, shower wall tile with a mosaic and niche, install vanity cabinet, tub fixtures, shower fixtures, sink fixtures and a new bathroom ceiling fan. Every time we met, he was right on time (even before I hired him). Each day he left, he told me what time he would be coming back the next morning, and sure enough, there he was. He cleaned up his work before leaving every day, he worked hard with few breaks, and he takes pride in his work. He did an outstanding job and I would recommend him to anyone needing tile, hardwood flooring, painting and general handyman work. I'll be re-hiring him to do my other bathrooms in my house. The work was done exactly as stated on his estimate; there were no surprises, no change orders, nothing other than what I wanted. I solicited four different contractors to give me an estimate for my bathroom. Ancelmo was one of the lowest priced, although I was drawn to him because of the positive reviews he has on Service Magic. Even if he was one of the higher priced bids, I would have hired him based on the feedback from his previous customers and the overall comfort level I felt from him in talking with him. He was clear about what the project entailed, did not try and talk me in to doing anything I wasn't sure about, and seemed very capable of giving me a bathroom I would be very, very happy with. He arrived on a Monday and took all measures to protect my flooring (which is a big deal to me since I don't allow shoes in my house). He and his helper laid an adhesive strip on all of my stairs, placed drop cloths on my flooring, and while working in my bathroom, kept the door closed to minimize the spread of dust throughout the house. He completed the demo in one day. From Tuesday until Friday, he prepared the surfaces for the new tile (backing, thin set, etc); installed reinforcements where necessary to accommodate the new (bigger) tile; laid the new tile; incorporated a beautiful (seriously) mosaic and mosaic backed niche; installed the vanity; installed the fixtures. On Saturday, it all came together when he applied the grout and the sealer. That night, despite not having the granite top in yet or the shower glass enclosure, I stood in my bathroom and just smiled and smiled at the work. The last thing he did was to come back at a later date and install the sink fixtures. To do them both took about an hour. I was extremely happy with Ancelmo. So much so that I left him and his helper alone in my house while they worked. I've never, never left a stranger in any house I've owned, so this is a big deal. He struck me as being honest and trustworthy, and in the end, he proved me correct. True story: when he finished installing my sink fixtures, he had a tool of mine from my garage that he said he was going to put back. Apparently he had used it one day while working and forgot to put it back. Who knows how long I would have noticed its absence (if ever), but at least he had enough integrity to tell me he used it and was putting it back. Not only was it time consuming to meet and "interview" so many contractors, it was exhaustive. I needed a beer at times it go so overwhelming! Now that I've done all the legwork, I know who to call in the future. read more

Ancelmo and his crew were outstanding, He did a full bathroom renovation for us. He is fast and the quality of work is outstanding. His pricing is also very reasonable. One of the best craftsmen we have ever encountered. Ancelmo did the demolition work and took out all my floor and tub surround tiles. He put in a new plywood sub-floor as the previous one was rotted. Then he put in new Durarock floor and tub surround. This was followed by the most beautiful floor and tub surround tile work. He also installed a new vanity and sink, put in a new vent fan, installed new fixtures for tub and vanity, put in a new medicine cabinet, installed a new mirror, installed a brand new tub and a tub sliding glass door (barn door configuration). He also cut out the ceiling and installed two new recessed lights as well as new vanity lights. He painted the ceiling and walls and installed new baseboards. As we changed our vanity from 42 inches to 36 inches, he had to change the plumbing for both the drain and water lines to accommodate the new vanity which now has drawers. His work was so superior that we did not have to go out and special order a new vanity .. he changed the plumbing to work around this issue. He is a true problem solver and great at what he does. We wish he did other home construction related projects as we would use him in a heartbeat. He has great personality and vary easy to work with. He is very precise and told us exactly how much floor and tub surround tile we needed along with the number of durarock sheets and plywood. He also put in a beautiful niche in the tub wall. It was a pleasure working with such a great professional and we plan on getting him to do our master bath soon. We were very lucky to have found Ancelmo. Not only did he do a fantastic job with our marble tiles in the bathroom, he was punctual, clean, and just overall a very nice guy. I also used Anselmo Molina and CMTile recently. It has been a disastor since he left. We hired him to replace the floor and shower tiles in 2 bathrooms. We tried to use one bathroom a few days after he was finished as he recommend. This is when the nightmare begins. After using the shower we have water streaming into the kitchen below the bathroom. The ceiling in the walls are stained. We can't use either bathroom shower now. I then tried to call and e-mail CMTile and Anselmo many times since we discovered the leak. He would not return my calls or e-mails at all. Since the work was done just before Labor Day, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he was on vacation. When he continued not to call me back or reply to e-mails, I posted a review similar to this one on the Home Advisor's website where I found him and called an advisor to update them on the situation. Within 1 hour of the review, he called me back. Here is where the lying begins: 1. He said he did not call me back because he was not a plumber and my problem was a plumbing problem. Everything in the bathroom and kitchen was just fine before his work was done. Part of his work included taking of the shower and tub faucets and putting them back in. He also offered to replace the sink faucets as a service. I'm not sure how you do all that work and then tell me you are not a plumber. He of course told me he did not cause the problem, but it ws only after he ripped down the walls around the shower piping that the leaking occurred. 2. He told me he was too busy to call me back, but once I posted a review he found time to call me back three times and send me three e-mails. He even showed up at my house in a few hours after. He suddenly seemed motivated after an honest review showed him bad light. 3. He told me that his iPhone doesn't always ring when he gets calls. It never seemed to have problems when I was calling him to hire a contractor. 4. When he came over he tried anyway to blame us for the problem and not even hint that it could be his responsibility. He indicated that the stains on my ceiling were pre-exisiting. Why would go through all the trouble of hiring a contractor to replace tiles in 2 bathrooms so I can later accuse him about the pre-exisitng ceiling work? If that was there, wouldn't I have just gotten that fixed rather than go through an expensive and elaborate rouse to change 2 bathrooms out? 5. He said I try to replace the shower fixtures myself. I marched him right up to the bathroom to show him the fixtures were exactly as he put them back in. 6. He blamed a loose plate on the tub. I poured water from a house around the tub and tile. No water leaked into the kitchen. The water has to be coming around the area he worked. Under Anselmo's own suggestion, I need to get a plumber to look at it. I am just listing my experience here. You can make your own decision whether you want to hire him or not. If you don't want to take a chance to live the nightmare we are going through, you may want to try someone else. read more

I purchased grout and sealant that he did not care for so during lunch he took the time to drive to Home Depot and purchased new products to use. Anselmo is amazing. We had 3 quotes on renovating the master bathroom and his price was significantly lower than the others. His work is exceptional. We had picked out tile, vanity and tub but as we talked about what we wanted to do, he had some great suggestions. The vanity was just about an inch short in fitting to the space so he added to the wall on one side so that the vanity fit in perfectly. We had another area where there were shelves that were made from particle board. He asked if we wouldn't prefer shelves made out of wood because i would be nicer. He renovated the entire bathroom doing not only the tiling, but the carpentry, plumbing and painting. He started our master bath quickly turned the builder's bathroom into a spa! Ancelmo is outstanding. He came by to give an estimate on a Sunday, shortly after I called, and his price was much better than another estimate I got. He started the next week and finished a very difficult job in a day and a half. He showed up early both days and got right to work. These were very heavy split-face marble tiles and there were 140 of them that had to be cut to size and brought up one floor, but this did not slow Ancelmo or his assistant down. The work is outstanding. It looks better than I could have imagined. He cleaned everything up and wiped down the floors when finished. I would absolutely recommend Ancelmo - he is very good at his job and he is a really good person. read more

My husband and I reached out to Ancelmo with CM Tile Installation in early/mid February about completing our master bathroom tile. He sent us a quote and we agreed he would come mid March to complete the work. A week before he was supposed to come we reached out to make sure he would still be coming the next Monday as we had not heard from him and he was no longer responsive. He finally reached back out via email to tell us he would not be there on Monday but could come a month later. This didn't work for us as we have a baby due in May and really needed the work completed in March. We now have to start the process over again of reaching out to other contractors to find someone who can complete the job as we don't trust that he is reliable. I wouldn't recommend CM Tile Installation as you may find out a week before your job that they are not showing up either with no explanation as to why. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for some time now, in fact Anselmo Molina has done several jobs for us in the past few years. Work completed in 2 houses includes: 1400 sqft of tile installation, hardwood floors installed including steps, remodeled entire master bathroom and painting an entire 3500 sqft house. Anselmo is prompt, considerate, creative and extremely fast all within a reasonable budget. His experience has provided up with ideas for our bathroom that were amazing. As I stated before, they are fast, they removed 1000 ft of HW floors, replaced with new and remodeled an entire Master bathroom in 5 days. Bathroom included moving drains and faucets, moving electrical, and demo and replace with all tile including a 5'x6' shower. He works weekends and completes everything we agreed upon with consideration and respect for your property.
