FBT tile & Marble, Inc. is exceptional. I live in a condominium that was built in 1943 with plaster walls. I needed the plumbing and tiling replaced in my bathroom ... no easy job with plaster walls. After talking with two other contractors, I called FBT. Frank Brennan gave me a free estimate, but more importantly, could see all of the issues that would arise with the work I wanted done, including the amount of time it would take to complete the job. The other contractors did not do that. And Frank was right on every point. FBT then scheduled my remodeling. The team working on my bathroom showed up on time every day, worked hard, and kept everything clean. A project manager came by each day also. On the first day, the guys replaced the plumbing. Again, no easy task because, where I live, the water had to be turned off for my unit as well as the neighboring unit. My condo association limits the time water can be turned off between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. FBT was incredibly sensitive to that fact and replaced the plumbing within a couple of hours within that limited time frame. The plaster walls were another issue. Because of the cement and mesh wire behind the plaster, FBT had to use different thicknesses of Kurdi board to make sure the walls remained level after removing the old tile. FBT then installed the tiling that Frank had helped pick out and painted the entire bathroom. Overall, they did a fantastic job. I could not be happier. My husband and I were looking for someone to gut our condo master bathroom and bring it back to the 21t century. After months of looking for contractors, and suffering from first-home-renovation trepidations and uncertainty, we found FBT Tile and Marble. They were efficient, professional, and flexible. In fact, after only a few days of the crew working on our bathroom, we were so pleased with their work we asked them to stay on for another home improvement project (building a walk-in-closet in the master bedroom). We especially loved our two-man crew (Jason and Carlos), and cannot recommend them enough! They were professional, personable, on time, knowledgeable, neat, and efficient. Jason's workmanship is excellent, and we will definitely be calling FBT to request him and Carlos for our future home renovations. In addition, the manager, and even the owner of the company, routinely came to our condo to supervise the progress, and to make sure we are happy with the results. The FBT crew exceeded our expectations by taking care of us even after the end of the project and helping us hire a cleaning crew to contain the post-renovation mess. We had our bathroom remodeled by the Frank Brennan team. The results are incredible. We wanted a contemporary bathroom with linear drainage and his team was capable of installing it. Walter and Freddy did an amazing job of laying the tumbled marble. They also helped with the design, we changed on the spot and added a floating seat bench, made changes to the width and length and there was never a problem. Highly recommend them for bathroom remodel, as they work with you and are flexible. Jason oversaw the work progress and they were very protective of our carpets and other adjacent areas. They used a dust cover and delivered the items like bathtub and sink , checked for damage and we had no problems. Also loved to work with Janelle, a designer who helped tremendously with our selection. It was a smooth process, took some time to complete, but the old bathroom was totally gutted. Our bathroom was more than 40 years old with tile separating and floor sagging. Fixtures were dated and electrical needed upgrade. FBT Tile & Marble came in to do an estimate and quickly developed a plan to renovate the entire bathroom. The design team sat with us and developed a complete design plan, in an hour, which included Marble Counter, vanities, new light fixtures, upgraded 20 amp electrical, new shower marble tile, toilets, as well as power venting. They work with us on price and then start work two weeks later. They did the demolition in two days and completed the renovation in 3 weeks as promised. They were prompt, courteous and fully protected all existing flooring and carpeting. They needed very little from us and always ensured of any issues related to construction. FBT saved the day! They performed superb work while delivering excellent service. I recently had a major, unforeseen water issue during the holidays - - water was gushing in buckets through the recess lighting in my kitchen. I felt helpless. Wanted to add to my previous review. After my last experience I had them renovate a Hall Bath at my personal residence. Again, always on time and very responsive. Every morning, drop cloths in the Entry and up the stairs and in the Upper Hall. Working all day and then cleaning up as they left. Again, I provided the fixtures and everything went smoothly. I hired Frank Brennan Tile (FBT) to do a large floor tiling job. Not only was the work perfect, but they did several extras at no charge. Two years later, not only do I smile everytime I see the floor, I am hiring them to tile part of my basement and potentially remodel a bathroom.
