Came in with a hurt shoulder and have been here 2 hours waiting - first in waiting room and now in an exam room for more than an hour. I've gone outside the room twice to ask about the wait and no one was nearby to ask. So, I left the door open thinking someone might walk by - 15 minutes and no one has. There were only three people in waiting room waiting when I arrived. I asked for a rough estimate of how long the wait would be and was told about 30 minutes. A nurse checked me in after getting to the exam room and it was obvious he did not like the job - short tone. This is now ridiculous. Two+ hours. No one around. I left. I told the lady at the desk I was leaving. She just said they got busy. Funny, as it sure didn't look busy. Two people in waiting room now. I told her it would have been nice if someone just said that to me. It I left at 12:30 pm, I'd been there for more than two hours, felt abandoned in an exam room and the only medical person I saw during all that time - including looking for one in the hallway - was a nurse who took my blood pressure. I have to wonder if people just went to lunch. I ended up at the Seaside Emergency room at 2 am. They called me into an exam room with a nurse before completing my check in. Diagnosed the problem was actually a pinched nerve. Very good experience! Go to the Seaside hospital! There is an urgent care there too. I will not go back to this Urgent Care at the Outlet Center! I am new to the state and area. I used to get my birth control pills through planned parenthood back home and we don't have any in this county. I didn't really know where to go for something that simple. I messaged the business and they said to just walk in and talk to someone, so I did and it was super helpful and easy, the pharmacist had me fill out a form, one I am familiar with from back home, and I had my vitals checked and now I am all set up with my monthly prescription. The upside is my insurance through my work covers it here, which is really nice! I left feeling very positive and comfortable with the kind staff. Now I can get my prescription easy and not have to worry. I get nervous in doctors offices sometimes. I can't speak for the urgent care side but the pharmacy was very helpful ! I was in and out within a half hour. Way quicker than pp in San Diego Back home. read more

I went in for them to look at a knee injury from a hike a few months before and reported this at reception. I wanted to know why it wasn't healing. When I saw the doctor I started to explain the knee injury, telling her about how I injured it, when she interrupts me and says the arm I was gently touching out of anxiety was the wrong one for a heart attack. Confused, I clarified that I was talking about my leg (specifically the knee) and that my arm was fine. She repeated again that she didn't think I had a heart attack. I said I didn't think I had one. She asked why I was "trying to fake one." When I asked her to focus on my leg, her response was "let's talk about your arm first". After more back-and-forth that grew more ridiculous, I got told her I was leaving, since she obviously wasn't going to help. She accused me of trying to get drugs and reported it on my medical chart that every doctor is going to see when I contact them. By the way, I had offered to give her the number to my boss that had referred me there. She refused to call. I also offered to call by my previous doctors as proof that I've had this complaint for a while now. She refused. I never even mentioned wanting painkillers. I just wanted a diagnosis. And she said she 'was not qualified to give me one'. As I was leaving, I was still limping, and she decided to take one last jab by saying 'I must not be in enough pain if I can still walk on it'. After being treated horribly there, I went back to my car and had an anxiety attack. In the middle of it an employee came out to my car and said that if I don't leave the lot immediately they would call the police on me for loitering. I had clearly been crying and not okay. I never even raised my voice at any of them, and they treated me like a criminal. I verified from a clinic in Portland a week later that my tendon around the kneecap was torn. Complete waste of money and time, not to mention a lack of empathy. I will be sure to refer all of our guests to another doctor in the future. read more

My husband was sick but we are traveling down the coast. We went to CMH and were very pleased. The PA and nurses were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were also very kind and comforting. The pharmacy next door was also very helpful. read more

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to. When I went in to establish with a PCP and get labs/updated vaccines, they incorrectly applied a pre-employment screening diagnostic code to services for lab-work and vaccines and now I'm getting sent a huge bill. I have full coverage thorough an employer/ never went there for any sort of pre-employment screening. The financial services department has not resolved the issue. The clinic manager never called me back and was subsequently fired. The financial services manager is condescending and not helpful. It's a total nightmare and still getting a run around. Not to mention, I still don't have a PCP as the inept provider left right after. I'd rather commute to a PCP in Portland then have to deal with this nonsense. read more

Unprofessional, patient beware -- I needed pre-op Covid testing. Called ahead, explained I was from out of town and the staff confirmed they'd be able to do it on a Saturday. They told me to bring the typical items (insurance card, ID, numbers to fax results to med offices). When I showed, the staff presented a new requirement--they'd need a paper order from the surgeon. It was a Saturday though and med offices are closed which was why I'd called them ahead of time. Physician on-site apparently refused to consider email from my prescribing surgeon. So, they would not honor their word, would not give the pre-op test and sent me out 'with a version of 'perhaps Astoria could do it'. No assistance beyond that and surgery may now need to be rescheduled. Kind front desk lady seemed to be left as a go-between to present physician decision with no help from that physician (finally, an MA came out to apologize for their staff). Mind you, no other patients in sight. Nice facilities. as long as you don't need medical help! read more

The front desk is kind and medical assistants are great. Dr. Whitney Latham is an AMAZING pediatrician. BEWARE of nurse practitioner Irma Mendoza-Montoya. If you need urgicare, call first to see if she is the one there. I have never had such a horrible medical experience. I would be able to overlook her rudeness and complete lack of bedside manner if she was a competent provider, but she is dismissive, does not listen, and gives atrocious medical advice. I brought my baby in with a 101.5 degree fever, and her first comment was that "he is old enough to be taking allergy medicine." Her second idea was that "he's just teething" (she didn't know that, according to the American Pediatrics Association and our pediatrician visit the week prior, fever is not a symptom of teething). She was not gentle, never spoke to him or tried to make him feel comfortable, and had us leaving with such a lack of confidence that we drove straight to another Urgicare for a second opinion. I have never left a negative review before, but I don't want anyone else - especially another child - to have to experience this. read more

This urgent care refused me service which is ILLEGAL. Today I came in because I've noticed worms in my stool the last two weeks, last night I passed about 15 and was so concerned I came in as soon as possible. I have a picture for reference. The receptionist and initial nurse who took my vitals were wonderful, supportive and concerned because to them it seemed like I had worms. The nurse practitioner came in and asked what was going on and I explained. She immediately told me she wasn't going to test because what's the point if I don't follow up with my primary, first of all she does not know me and is really rude to assume I'm not going to take care of my health when that's the whole reason I was there. She refused to look at the picture I had and she told me it's very unlikely I would have them because I've never travelled outside of the United States. I said people get worms and parasites from prepackaged salads, and raw and undercooked food all the time and she shook her head and told me that wasn't true. I asked her does that mean you're refusing to test me and again she talked me in circles telling me she's been doing this for 30 years and it was unlikely. I asked her straight up are you refusing to take my sample and test it because that's all I need. She reverted back to "what's the point of testing you if you aren't going to follow up with your primary" I let her know I was in the process of switching primary's because I recently escaped an abusive relationship where he would abusive me in my primary's office and nobody ever did anything when they saw active marks and me extremely upset when they came back. I told her I'm setting up a primary here I'm more than willing to follow up I just need to know if I have these or not that's all. After arguing with her back and forth on if she's going to test me I had an anxiety attack because of how rudely she was speaking to me, at the point she was not talking, just staring at me with a blank expression so I began to explain what I was telling her I was scared to go to that primary because my ex almost killed me and I don't know where she's at but I'm more than willing to come here she cuts me off "let me talk" ...she wasn't even talking first. I've had traumatic hospital and urgent care visits but this tops it off, she pushed me into an anxiety attack, refused me service, and talked down on me because "she knows what she's doing she's been doing it for 30 years" lady obviously you don't know what you're doing. I went right to seaside emergency room and was tested not even twenty minutes later. I do in fact have worms, and I've never been out of the US. So your nurse practitioner of 30 years needs an evaluation, I am definitely reporting to as high as I can take this because I am so sick of being told things are unlikely, refusing to test me, and it turning out I was right all along. What she did was illegal and wrong and I will make sure it gets taken care of. read more
