Carlos & team went above and beyond replacing rotted wood 2x4s in our garage. He was quick to return calls, showed up on time, set up a quick turnaround time and give us a good price in the quote. The new studs are sturdy, up to code. They reinforced base sill seams with double studs; electric was returned to normal, tested all outlets, filled cracks with foam, cleaned the work area and did a great job. I originally provided a very nice review for this company. But after two code violations -- one which almost cost me my HVAC warranty, and now having two cats stuck behind the wall he didn't property install and seal, I am writing an updated review. There are huge gaps in the drywall and the walls are uneven. I'm spending every night fixing seams using flexible corner bead and plastering and painting. Extremely sloppy work. Essentially if the cats don't come out tomorrow, the whole wall will need to be removed. All because he didn't seal the furnace room. I do not recommend this company. The violation and warranty risk were one thing; putting my animals at risk is something I do not tolerate. read more

5 stars just doesn't do this business justice. Carlos went above and beyond with my house. I had some water damage from a roof leak and some other projects I've been putting off. Him and his team restored my bedroom ceiling after the water damage, removed the carpet in my bedrooms and basement, refinished my hardwood floors, installed vinyl floors in my basement, painted a couple of rooms, and put trim in my laundry room. They also did an maxing job cleaning up after. They did all this work in 3 and 1/2 days showing up at 7:30 and working full days. He maintained great communication by texting whenever he was unsure of anything. His pricing was fair compared to others and honestly I wish I could pay him more for his professionalism. I felt extremely comfortable with him and his team in my home unsupervised. Unfortunately you hear horror stories in regards to contractors and I've had a few myself, so I was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed by Carlos and his teams. We finally have our bathroom back! After about five weeks, our contractor barely got half way through our bathroom remodel. Nothing fancy, just a standard refresh, but the contractor had a terrible time showing up to do work, and communication was horrible. So, we fired him and looked for someone that could finish the job. Nobody wanted to continue where the last guy left off, except for Carlos. Carlos and his team got right to work the next day, and put in full days of work to finish everything up. He and his team were very courteous to my family, and even cleaned up after themselves every day! The last guy did not. Carlos showed me several times where the previous guy did shoddy work, and always suggested solutions to move forward. He even listened closely to little design details, and carried them out. We hired Carlos to fix up some horribly shoddy work from a previous contractor, who installed siding over stucco, which caused water to come into the house. Carlos suggested removing the entire wall down to the studs, and essentially rebuilding it with new siding and layers of housewrap. He put 3-4 days on the estimate but his team did it in a day and a half! They were incredibly professional, courteous, and did great work...although we'll know for sure once we have a lot of rain! Carlos backs his work up with a 10-year guarantee and said to call him right away if anything was wrong. As an added bonus, they were insanely clean, which is crazy given the amount of stuff they removed. Carlos is nothing short of amazing. I had leaks into my bedroom ceiling, a result of poor workmanship from renovation next door. Carlos and his team replaced flashing sealing and siding around my pilot house, roof, and all other areas that abutted the next door reno. He also replaced my wood deck with composite. Other contractors wouldn't touch the job but he and his crew knew exactly what the problem was and they fixed it as promised. I must be crazy doing a review for Carlos and his team because the more people find out how good his team is, the harder it's going to be to get appointments, and I definitely plan on doing that! I am president of my 6 unit HOA in Center City and I had been trying to get flashing repaired around windows and to get the windows repaired so they would open and close without sticking or slamming shut. When he came to review the work to be done he also noticed that the door frame was allowing water in where it joined the surrounding bricks. I couldn't believe it when his proposal came back $2,000 less than one and $3,000 less than another I had gotten. And his included the door frame sealing. His team and he arrived and went about doing a very professional job and couldn't have been nicer to deal with! After the work was completed, Carlos went over every detail with me and even adjusted one item that wasn't perfectly aligned, even though it was working reasonably well. So what's not to like! I had him take notes about other upcoming work and I fully expect to use his firm every chance I get, for a wide variety of services: repaving driveway, pointing, sealing other doorways along the fire escape, and a variety of other things.
