From top to bottom this experience was amazing. Everyone was very responsive and communicated in a timely manner. I applied to Co-signing.com on January 24,2024 for help in getting an apartment. I applied in confidence because I have used this company in the past with no problems. You can see my post from 2017. Also, on their website it clearly states that it is 100% money back guarantee if not approved for any reason. On January 25,2024 I sent the $2000 fee for the cosigner (which is held in escrow until the lease is signed according to their website). The apartments I had applied for denied the co-signers application. I sent an email to the Customer Service email address letting them know the application was denied. I also spoke with Joanne at the only number you can call in regard to getting a refund. I sent the denial letter from the apartments to the Customer Support email as well as to the cosigner email (Imagination Glow). The apartments talked with the cosigner in regard to the application being denied. They finally sent an email on February 6,2024 stating they would issue the refund. It is now March 4 and I have yet to see the refund. I have emailed several times and spoke with Joanne to no avail. This review posted under my daughter's name in error. Disclaimer: This is an honest review from MY experience with this company. This review includes proof of the unprofessionalism from this company. RED FLAGS: Refused to communicate over the phone. Did not write up and send a contract agreement. Hidden fees I reached out to Co-signing because I didn't meet the minimum requirement to move into my desired apartment. I wanted more info than what was stated on their website, so I tried calling the number listed several times, no answer. I emailed them and asked if I could speak with someone on the phone and they responded saying that they were an online company and most of their communications were done via. First red flag! Why wouldn't they take the time to speak with a potential customer over the phone? Anyway, I was assigned to Danielle fairly quick. I also gave her my number since I feel like text/email conversations can be misunderstood, but she never called. I gave her all of the information for the apartment I was looking to move into. She was late multiple times with submitting her information. (See emails as proof). My leasing agent told me she was unresponsive at times. I was supposed to move in on the 15th but that didn't happen because Danielle was slow with submitting her info. Once it was finally approved I let her and the company know. They sent me an email from Zelle stating that the money could be sent there. I emailed them with questions regarding that form of payment because I wasn't familiar with it. They responded but I didn't see it until the next morning since I live on the East Coast and they are on the West Coast. I woke up the next morning with emails from Danielle and the company threatening to have Danielle's application removed because I didn't pay up(mind you it was less than 48 hours after I sent them the approval email). They stated that if I wanted to continue with their service I had to cough up $500 dollars on top of the $1,000 dollar fee. I guess the $500 fee was a "late fee", however it is not listed anywhere on their website so this is a hidden fee technically. Also, there was NEVER a contract sent to me about these terms. I refused and they ended up removing Danielle's application. I was confused because the whole entire time I was working with Danielle, she was LATE with sending her info. Not once, but twice! So the fact that they were quick to remove their application and jeopardize my living situation let me know that this company is all about money and cold. I will never use their services again. I am currently in process, of attempting to utilize this company to pair me with a co-signer. I have no credit and the condo I desire needs high credit. So I was approved contingent on a guarantor. I'm hoping all goes well though, I will continue to update this post ....along the process so I can help anyone looking for information.. I reached out initially via the website 8 days ago, then when I didn't hear back within the 24 hours listed on the website, I reached out again the following day via email. I wanted to ensure I had everything I needed to make this process as quick and painless as possible for everyone involved. Realizing their timeframe may be pushed back due to COVID, I called the number listed on the website that same day. The representative was incredibly helpful and let me know what I'd need to move forward. So I waited for the email from the apartment manager saying I'd need a cosigner or guarantor and emailed that along with the information I was told I would need to include. That was Monday, and I hit the 72 hour turnaround mark I was told it would take before I would be contacted this morning. I called again around noon and was told that since everything is done online/through email, I'd need to send a followup email. I sent that email immediately after the call and have still heard nothing 5 1/2 hours later. I prefer to do things in writing, so I am unbothered by this part of everything, but I have received no response whatsoever in this amount of time and I am about to lose this apartment. I was 100% on board with using this service based on the research I've done, and I still would be if I could simply get a response to let me know my information has been received and they are working on finding me a cosigner. Welp, I'm very sorry to report that I was not approved for the apartment with the cosigner. The property management didn't give me much information - just that there was a problem with my co-signer's trade-lines. I emailed the person from Co-signing.com that I had been in contact with to let them know, but I didn't get a response. (They have usually replied right away.) I also emailed my co-signer, and he said he would call the consumer reporting agency they used on his break, but I haven't heard back from him either (and may not). I recommend you work on boosting your credit score by disputing negative items to get them removed from your credit report, and then apply for an apartment. I realize this isn't possible for everyone, as some made need to move immediately. Based on my personal experience with Co-signing.com, don't get your hopes up. One thing I will mention - the leasing consultant called me while processing the cosigner's application and asked for the state on his drivers license. She said she tried to call him, but she hung up because "it was weird and didn't sound like it would be him." I told her I wasn't positive and she should verify with him, but then she realized he had faxed a copy of the driver's license. Then, she called me back to ask his middle name, as he left it off of the application. I told her I didn't know it and suggested she email him. It turned out he doesn't have a middle name. After she had verified these two items, she submitted the application. The next snafu was that my cosigner shared the same name as a criminal and the application was flagged. This required an override, but the leasing consultant obtained the override without a problem because the criminal was of a different ethnicity than my cosigner, based on my cosigner's drivers license. She forwarded everything to the Regional Property Manager for review. She was off yesterday and today, but told me one of them would contact me today. By midday, I called them and the Assistant Property Manager gave me the bad news. All in all, I'm disappointed because I really wanted the apartment and I feel so discouraged because I have a perfect rental history for the past 6 years, but none of that matters. It's crazy to imagine, but if my current landlord decided to sell right now, I'd literally be homeless. :( The best to you and your apartment search. I kept having issues with them taking long times to answer even once the application process had started. the leasing office kept informing me that they need more information from the cosigner, and after going back and forth for days they informed me that the information the cosigner had given was FALSE. that when they called to verify his employment THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM. so they declined my application because of false information; so I took a hit to my credit thinking after reading the reviews that this was a legit operation. HELP!!!!!!! Co-signing.com scammed me and took $3000 out of my account! My daughter was trying to get a co signer for an apartment in New York and we faithfully gave Cosignjng. $3000 and they connected us with Ronald Wheeler who was to be our co signer. After many attempts by the apartment complex Hallets Point in NY to get the information they needed ROnald stopped communicating . We decided to go another route since we were desperate and needed to be settled. When we asked for a refund of the $3000 that we sent via PAYPAL as they suggested we were told to dispute this with our bank Wells Fargo which we did . Is morning, Wells Fargo contacted us and said they were charging back the $3000!!!!!!! The service and ALL the information on the co signing website STATES 100% money refund if we are not able to get an apartment! I am in a panic because the money taken out of the account is for funeral costs that we are dealing with!!!!!!! Please someone help me! I am going to go to the police and file with the court! I must admit I was quite skeptical at first but I went through with the inquiry. The 24 hour customer support was very helpful. I was denied based on my credit alone so I started researching co signers. They were able to match me with a co-signer within 24 hours and I reapplied and was approved within a few days. I used this service a year or so ago, and paid $1000 for a year's lease paying $1400 per month. It was just a very clunky, disjointed process. After a few weeks going back and forth I was able to finally get the signing done, but it was like pulling teeth. I would suggest not using unless it is your very last option. There are other options, even for those with significant credit challenges. I wanted to use the service again to extend the lease 2 months during the covid-19 pandemic, and this company wanted to charge me the same as if I was going to sign a year's lease. I asked if they could offer a pro-rated fee, and not only were they totally inflexible, their responses were short and borderline rude. I received one word responses through email, even after they offered some type of service as a month-to-month option when I originally contacted them. They didn't even explain why they couldn't offer their service to extend for 2 months. Their last response to my email that contained a few questions, was "No, apologies". I may be able to just pay the two months in advance at my current apartment, and avoid using their service altogether, so in a way they did me a favor. My suggestion would be to come up with creative alternatives before using this company. It's a scam. They do not tell you that you cannot or your leasing agent cannot talk to you over the phone. They took for ever to reply and I had to send several emails for the co-signer to reply. My leasing agent needed to talk to the co-signer and the they refused to call them. I lost my lease because it took days to hear back from them. Fortunately, I could file it as fraud since it was technically filed from my bank. They also blocked my phone number. I couldn't talk to them at length because I was at work and had to hang up then I tried to call back and the message was "we are unable to accept calls from your calling area." Who ever answers the phone did not understand what I was saying to them. Replied with the same answer to every different question I asked. read more

I am the person that doesn't write reviews but I do count on them, so I need to get this out there for you to make the choice. I contacted Co-singing.com and hopes they will help me with a co-signer for my apartment being a single mother making 3x times the rent is almost impossible. Here's what happened to me, they will not even talk to you until you first get denied which cost me $245 in application fees and a hit on my credit report knowing I would get denied I was concern with this process with no information but I was desperate so I did. The next step is you sent an e-mail to them with the denied letter and wait 72 hours which I did even though that was the last 3 bedroom apartment and I was on a time crunch not to lose my $245. Finally someone E-mailed me with only this. "When can you pay your fee?" (RED FLAG and also, they asked me what was my fee cost on their website? (RED FLAG) Reading the reviews about people not getting their money back of course I would be cautious. One of the reviews I read said once he asked them if this was a scam they hung up on him. Of course I had questions so my response to the e-mail was do they have any proof their legit before I send them my fee and they writing back no there's no proof go found a company your comfortable with and that's it. Haven't heard another word since and when you call this company you get one person every time (RED Flag) that gets mad if you ask to many questions which is also in past reviews. I have now lost my $245 fee and got a hit on my credit report. I would not risk it. I am writing this review in the hopes of proving some help for those debating whether or not to use the service (or wondering if it is even legit). I recently moved to Chicago for a new job and have an excellent salary, but poor credit. Due to my credit I could not be approved for the unit I wanted unless I had a co-signer. My parents didnt feel comfortable getting involved (long story) so I went on the search for other options which is how I found co-sgining.com The process was painless. I gave some basic information (where the apartment was located, my leasing agent's info and then the price of the rent per month). My customer service agent was able to pair me with a co-signer within minutes. The co-signer application was emailed to him and the application was completed within a day. Once accepted you are required to pay your free (certified funds through Wells Fargo) once you confirm payment (which I did by taking a photo of my deposit receipt) the co-signer will sign the forms and you are DONE. My experience was perfect though Ill admit I was worried if everything was "legit" as I did have to spend money PRIOR to the signing. (Which admittedly makes sense as they dont want to sign the lease and then try to track you down for the payment later). I can tell you this is 100% legit as I moved into my apartment this weekend after working with co-signing.com via email for only 2 days. I would definitely use the service again and I want to make sure people are aware of this tremendous service for those of us who may have a perfect track record, good job but poor credit. They will absorb your information and will sell it later I think (which is very valuable these days). find a guarantor instead of trusting these random guys who are benefiting from your data. After I objected to the person who was reviewing my application for rent, and getting partially approved, he stated asking unreasonable things like give the number of HR of your company. They did not accept the bank accounts I got personally from my bank branch! Also, they do not have a secured system for your documents and you should send it over email (do you feel safe sending your info this way? I dont myself, and that is why I am writing this review). Update....so I was finally able to speak to somebody on the phone from this company yesterday. His name was charles and I must say he was very rude ! After many attempts to get somebody to answer my phone calls, he finally picked up. I explained that I needed a co signer and he asked me which state the apartment was located in and how much my rent was then he gave me the email address that I had to send the form for a co signer to ..I answered both his questions and took down the email address then he quoted me the price. Right after that he was ready to hang up the phone, which made no sense to me...I had to tell him that I wasn't done with the convo and he instantly became irritated. So I asked him how long they've been in business and if the company was legit because I've never done such things before...that When he said.."well are YOU legit? Is YOUR apartment legit? Why would you ask me such a stupid question?" Then he hung up. The entire 2 mins qe was on the phone he was trying to rush off, cutting me off and didnt sound welcoming at all. After he made that statement he hung up on me. I tried to call back but of course nobody answered. Smh I still went ahead and send the application forms to the email he provised, because well, I need a place to live and desperately need a co signer. It really sucks that Yelp hasn't created a 0 stars option yet. My boyfriend and I came incredibly close to losing $1000 to this scam. We were out of options looking for a cosigner and co-signing.com seemed to be the perfect option. Despite the static-y phone calls, their customer service seemed pretty nice but I'd also feel pretty damn nice if I knew I was about to scam someone out of $1000. We applied for a cosigner and received one less than 24 hours, the property manager approved us for the apartment and every one was happy! Until co-signing.com called asking for their money when no paperwork from anyone had been drawn up. Our property manager had yet to create a lease for us but this business was demanding it's $1000. Again, not being as skeptical as I should be, I thought it was fair to ask for the fee. When I called co-signing.com back asking for assurances or even just a CONFIRMATION in writing that there is a contractual agreement between us and the co-signer, the customer service guy "Carter" immediately told me that I "should've asked these questions before you applied". Red flag! Any legitimate business with legitimate employees would never refuse to answer questions during any stage of the process. Carter continuously threatened to cancel my application because I "refused to pay the fee" when I was only calmly asking for any form of confirmation so we don't get screwed over. Nothing. None. He just grew angrier and angrier, told us that it was "none of our business" to know these details. So here we are, without a co-signer again but with our $1000 still intact. We are incredibly lucky that they didn't take our money even if we are back to square one. Really, avoid this "company" by all means unless your money is dispensable. Try Insurent if you're looking for a cosigning company because they actually draw up disclosure agreements and other legitimate documents throughout their application. One payment is all that seperates you from your dream apartment. You can find online their cost chart, which is transparent.
