It's a great place for dates, groups of people, birthdays, friends, anything! I love to go and watch a game. Their nightly specials are awesome too (thirsty thursday!) They even have a band area where you can hang out after the game and catch a live performance. The fireworks there are pretty awesome too. All around great experience and cool place to hang out. They even have a pool if that's your sort of thing! And you can buy really cheap tickets to sit on the levee but even closer seats aren't that expensive.

The venue itself is fine and the staff were polite, but I was super disappointed at the extremely limited food and drink options. I was talking to a staff member who said weekdays evenings were dead sometimes, but that's no excuse to have only 1 food vendor open in the entire stadium. Please, please ownership, have more food vendors open for your poor customers and overworked staff!

Lasalle Park doesn't offer much to do except exercise along the jogging path or walk along the…read morenature center promenade. It is a clean park though so that is always good. If you are looking for a tranquil place to relax or a quiet place to jog this park fits the bill quite well. In fact you feel quite isolated if you're jogging here as I have rarely ever seen more than 30ppl here at the same time. If you are coming to the park to entertain the kiddos they will get bored here rather quickly as there is no kids playground, no ponds, no ducks, no carousels, no rides, etc. You get the picture. There are softball and soccer fields but I believe those are for organized competition only and not for recreational use. I have never seen anyone use those fields except during league play. I still like this park though because it is quiet and they do have a small sculpture garden. Most of the time, though, I prefer lots of activity around me so I prefer parks with lots of people around.

Metairie Park is always so clean and pristine -- truly a beautifully maintained space. I love the…read morefacilities, and the gym was perfect for summer camp this year. My son had an absolute blast! I also really enjoyed the walking path, with so many peaceful areas to focus on health and wellness. There are plenty of fun play areas for the kids, making it a great spot for families. So make the drive out to Metairie, get a ticket (under $20) and enjoy the open space under the bright lights of the stadium. I'm not sure if he still works here, but Brandon Rousseve is definitely an amazing personal trainer and baseball player! Anyway, I've been wanting to check it out since about 2011 when I heard the jaw-dropping words "indoor batting cages." What could be better than an indoor place to play your favorite sports during our hot and humid summers? Of course, it would be even better if I had come when I could actually PLAY one of these sports; unfortunately, my injured wrist won't be permitting that anytime soon. Besides batting cages they have a baseball diamond, basketball courts, an indoor volleyball court, free weights, and a concession stand just to name a few things. From what I can see, it looks like they have some weight machines on the second floor. I'm guessing this might come with one of their fitness packages. Big Easy Sportsplex is definitely one of New Orleans' hidden gems. It's a great play to play indoors with a very fair price that won't break the bank. Thank you to the person who decided to create this great place! I can't wait to come enjoy it when my wrist is healed. In the meantime, I'll sit back, drink my icee, and watch my friends.
