We got the combo basket at Dooks, it was great at first but then found the first layer of waffle fries covered the bottom of the fryer bits. For that price, do better Dooks. Will eat elsewhere next time. It was very easy to find your section and seat. Not sure why so many people have a hard time realizing what section they are standing in. It's well marked. Once inside, the seating was good as they dived the space into two gyms so you were close to the one you needed to be. Concessions were priced a bit high and their screen had a "tip" option for getting your own food and having them ring it up.

Lately the pelicans games have still been pretty empty especially at the top. For it to be HBCU/ Divine nine night it would've been nice to see them give some free or discounted tickets to the HBCUs in the state and local divine 9 chapters. This way you fill the seats, and I'm sure those attendees would've spent money at the concession stands. The pelicans played the bucs that night but the bucs were missing Giannis and the Pels were missing Trey Murphy. Pels could've won the game but of course at the end they fell apart. Throughout the game there were performances from members of HBCUs and diving 9 groups. Xavier University Band was there but they had them at the top in the stands. It would've been nice if they let them perform on the floor so everyone could've seen and heard them better. They had HBCU trivia game that I thought was a nice touch. I think next year it'd be nice if they showed pictures on the big screen highlighting some of the distinguished alumni from the Louisiana HBCUs. The giveaway for this game was a bucket hat. They did not hand it to you when you entered the game like they usually do. You had to wait in a long line after the game to get it. This line led to the Courtside club where there was an after party. Once we made it there this man said it was at full capacity and no one else could go in. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to the dj. My uncle also went to the game and he was able to get in the Courtside club and said how they had kids in there which he thought was weird since there's also a bar in there. For the future I think they need to hand out the hats in the beginning and either make the Courtside club entry 21+ or just have the party outside of the arena where everyone can enjoy the music and step shows from the Greeks.

Mine are interested in Music and Theater. They even have a "stock exchange" with real money for students to learn from. Our tour guide was nice and answered all of our questions. I also love that they have large glass windows/walls which allows you to get some natural sunlight and also see outside. They also have vending machines that are filled with drinks and snacks. It's a perfect library because it's quiet, but there are also snacks that you can buy and enjoy. When I walked in, I saw a bunch of ear plugs! No more having to listen to people around you type loudly on their keyboards! Parking can be very difficult though that only street parking and it fills up quickly. That's why I came on a Friday during the summer time because there was hardly anyone there in the afternoon.

No lean back, recliner, vibrating chairs, with food service served to you. No it is just a plain small theatre with one popcorn machine, a few concessions people, some candy for sale, a nice somewhat elaborate coffee barista area, and a few select movies showing. I love the quaintness of this theatre. I loved the quirky decor. And I really enjoyed their coffee as well. I came here during the winter when they were showing It's a Wonderful Life. Not only was it was my first time here at the this theatre, it was also my first time seeing this movie. Prior to the showing, a worker stood in front of the theatre to address the crowd with beautiful facts about the movie and Jimmy Stewart. It is an annual event, so if you are curious this is a great way to spend an afternoon. They also have a soap machine making what represents "Snow" outside as you enter the establishment. People also came dressed up in fun winter and Christmas gear. I highly recommend this being done at least once. And if not for this annual showing, any fun date.

I could just sit and talk story with strangers about cinema for hours. Wish I could travel to NOLA every month just to watch movies at the Prytania.
