And just like the first time I went to see her (2016), this second time I was also offered a job! A promotional opportunity arose outside of my company and I knew the competition would be fierce. Shoot, there were a few techniques Judy taught me in 2016 that I continue to use since I am routinely presented with hypothetical situations and asked to make sense of them. I was surprised, and humbled, at how many of Judy's skills and techniques I had forgotten since I last saw her. I knew after completing my first session with her that I'd need a second. Once again, Judy's guidance propelled me to a second-round interview. My soon-to-be boss told me that the first-round interview had gone so well, the panel urged that I be interviewed ahead of the second-round schedule. For this, I have Judy to thank. She's a master at working with you to identify your own experience and crafting just the right "elevator pitch" to use in panel and one-on-one interviews. I recommend starting with the free seminars and some of his classic books. After UPW virtual in 2023 I signed up for two years of coaching. The first coach I knew right away I wouldn't work well with. It was a gut instinct and it was the tone and vocabulary. Tony teaches to be mindful of all of this. It just wasn't going to work for me. I learned to speak up. I gave pointed responses of why it wouldn't work. They paird me with another coach Emma Miller. Now 1+ years in, doing coaching every 7-10 days, Emma is the best collaborator you would hope for on your team. She keep me accountable. The Tony program is drinking out of a water hose. You have to be very intentional about how you use it. Emma helps me apply it each and every day. I'm growing and learning every day. I'm getting better and better. I'm having and continue to have a remarkable transformation. It's definitely not a quick fix or snap fix, no matter how they try to market you. It's a lot of work. But it's a system that works. There are also so many other systems out there. I've continue to augment my Tony training with so many more books, podcasts, research, work on my own. I decided to not continue with the coaching sessions and requested a refund for the sessions I did not use. However, Scott charged me an extra thousand dollars for quitting the program. Do not sign up for this coaching. And if you speak to Scott, ask to speak to someone else.
