In twenty years of travel (work) this is the BEST curated small space that has something for anyone…read morewalking in the door. I walked in looking for a bottle of local wine (new in town) and found MUCH more. There are fresh cheeses that the owner graciously offers samples before buying. The wine selection was missing local wines, but once I engaged Vanessa's wine knowledge, I found we were sympatico on drinking unadulterated (no wierd additives) beverages whether wine or tequila. As I said, the space is small, but the owner has been able to acquire a great selection, if limited, of liquors, wines, beers (beer available by singles). Another bonus was a freezer full of choice cuts of grass-fed, local, angus beef. This is truly a gem in this little town. I haven't shopped the local grocery store, but what I can see online is there is no comparison to the quality of the products in this shop. When dinner or drinks call for 'special occasion'...THIS is the place to shop!

Stop at this little shop and smile at all they have packed into such a little space, a wide…read moreselection of beer, wine, and spirits, and a case full of specialty cheeses. I came for the cheese, but glancing around the shelves, noticed favorite Italian aperitifs and NA beers by Athletic. I will be back to enjoy happy hour (4-6, Tuesday through Saturday). Also pay a visist next door, to Off The Olive Branch, for a dizzying selection of imported oils and vinegars, pastas and sauces, and a big case of quality meats, plus other foods you never knew you needed until now.

Been a minute since we were there...forgot to post. Well, third time we visited this…read moreestablishment. Not good, the first picture is what we got. the second picture is what was advertised. Our Dinner...COLD baked potato, they show loaded, but all the loaded items cost more to add. COLD steak. The shrimp were not even close to normal size. extremely tiny.(my dinner) My wife's was cold as well. so cold that soft butter would not even melt. The steaks had absolutely no flavor. It's like they were just taken out of the fridge and plopped down on a flat griddle with no seasoning at all. not like the picture. Yes, we told them and they did not even offer to re cook our dinner, warm it up or give us a discount of any kind. I only ate some of it because I was SO hungry. My dinner came out and 10 minutes later, my wife's dinner came out. Honestly, the salad bar was the best part, although it was not very fresh either, but better than the main course. SO SAD how some restaurants want local support but have no idea that the food and service are horrible. Just being completely honest. Cattlemen's...need to step up your game!

I will never ever be back here. Empty place very unwelcoming with no ambiance. Waitress Kirsten was…read morevery occupied with flirting with the two men at the bar. Once we're seated, we waited 10 mins for someone to take our drink order (a soda and a beer), 10 mins to get our drinks, then she couldn't take our food order, waited 10 mins to order our food... and we were the only table in the joint. LITERALLY. I ordered a 10 oz ribeye medium rare and it came well done (maybe med well? See pic) and a quarter inch thick... 10oz size questionable. Also notice how all of my sides were eaten but the steak is still on the plate... yeah she didn't check to see how our food was until we flagged her down like sailors in distress. The waitress informed me that they cut all their ribeyes that thin and if I got another ribeye, it would be 1/4 inch thick also, so I didn't order another. My friend's filet was blue rare (raw but seared on edges) but ordered medium rare and the waitress didn't offer to cook it more but instead blamed it on having a new cook. Took Kirsten 10 mins to get me a menu. When Kirsten finally found the time to come by our table to have me order a replacement, my friend finished her dinner already. I got the cowboy chili with cornbread. The chili was lukewarm if I am being generous- they could've just microwaved it like wtf how do you serve lukewarm/room temp chili if you have a microwave??? The cornbread was dry and crumbled into a million pieces. The service was the worst and least attentive I've had in maybe ten years probably my entire life. It was almost like we were in a comedy skit except it wasn't funny. I will never ever ever go back. Texas Roadhouse is way better which is just sad. I did notice an employee eating a big beautiful steak while she closed out her shift, I asked what cut and she said a ribeye. So I guess they cut the 1-1.5 inch thick cuts for employee steaks and customers get ribeyes a 1/4 inch thin cooked into shoe leather. Pro tip: go to Strayhorn. Rumor is cattleman's doesn't even use local beef anymore, they just cosplay ranch life so you get to eat a low quality steak with the comforting smell of cow poo.
