My family of six came in for a burger and a beer. We knew this was a bar but we're surprised there was only one table in the restaurant. We have been driving an RV across this side of the country for days and we were hoping for some comfortable seats to sit ourselves in while we enjoyed a family meal. I did take notice to the trump cut out and I was a little taken back but was willing to look past that as we all have our own opinions and differences we should try to get along. I was even willing to look past what I believe was the owner who had a breed that grew out of his chest and up to his eyebrows. We left because the "salad bar" looked like it was sitting on a warmer and I was not willing to give my family a food born disease. As we walked out my husband said thank you Sir but we've decided not to stay. The all over hairy man hollered something about "us liberal's we're not welcomed there. He then came out from the side of the restaurant asking why we were not eating there, in an agitated state. He came down on my family screaming about us being liberals again and my youngest son of 19 with a cool head said, listen man we are just a family looking for a place to eat a relax, we are not trying to start trouble. The man came at us again when my oldest son and husband stepped between him and I. My husband stood between our family and that man and told him we were not staying. The owner started crying out for some guy in the restaurant guess he needed back up. I don't know or really care what side of the political divide you stand. Hospitality, kindness and compassion goes a long way. I might not be able to review on the bar's food or drink but if I could give 0 stars for his shitty attitude I would. Good slop burger, cold beer, fair prices. The overall place was well maintained and about what you'd expect. It was hot out so we ate inside. The service was fast and accurate. The food was absolutely wonderful. The fried basket had some great chicken strips, poppers, mozzarella sticks, and mushrooms. The kid's burger was good. The fries had Old Bay(?) on them, which was a slice of heaven. As mentioned above I and my wife had the slop burger and it was great 1/4 lb and I was full. All of the beer is bottled, and has the old steady selection. I had my reservations when I saw the political flag outside, but I'm glad I wasn't a judgmental jerk and was able to experience a good meal. read more

All the way from Bakersfield, Ca Came to check out the little town of Dinosaur, Co ran into this spot and was excited to get a bite to eat. Let me tell ya... the service from the time we walked in till we were done was A+!!! Decided to go with a classic cheeseburger, I'm a little extra so I added extra toppings Swiss cheese, bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions. Hands down fantastic burger and big!! 1/2 pounder. I love Americana and this place has it all- the only bar in the town of Dinosaur, a one motel town on the way to Dinosaur National Monument, with a pool table, a juke box, and a great grill. Do not miss their hand cut french fries or BLT. Lots of beer, some wine, and even free wifi. Okay, so pretty much everything on the menu is fried except the salads, but hey, that's what America is all about. Went over Colorado line from Utah to buy lottery tickets and saw this place and decided to try it. The hamburger with grilled onions and bacon was the the best I have had in a long time! The burgers and fresh cut fries here are fantastic. I can't speak to the rest of the menu because the green chile bacon cheeseburger is so good that I can never bring myself to order anything else. Expect to be greeted like an old friend (even if it's your first time there) and to leave full! Great beer selection to go with the burgers! This small town has a big secret when it comes to really good food. Service is great your never forgotten about when you need a refill on drinks I.e. sodas, and alcohol. Good home made fries, a must try a house special an open face burger smothered in green chile with cheese on top. It's my new favorite burger when I am in the area. Great friendly service. read more

Service was friendly and great. Tables in the back to sit down and eat. Burgers are tasty. Came on taco Thursday and enjoyed the tacos also.

The proprietor/bartender/cook makes an excellent burger and does a great job of making tourists feel welcome!
