This company DOES NOT stand behind their products. Do NOT buy from them. We had a new fridge that…read moredidn't freeze properly and the seal came off. Because it was after 60 days, Canadian Appliances refused to help in any way. All they did was refer us to the manufacturer phone number (agents based in Philippines) who insisted an East Coast repair (6000 miles away) company could help us. Had something delivered earlier and drivers showed up an hour earlier than expected. Because we didn't hear the phone they drove away and couldn't bother getting out of the truck to knock on the door.

*** PHONY CUSTOMER SERVICE ***…read more CAS "customer service" is completely fake. I've waited on hold for hours, only to be dropped. No one calls back if you choose a call back. The online chat will show you as number 1 in the queue for an hour or so then drop you. I ordered over $10K of appliances from CAS, including installation of the gas range. The delivery people refused to install the range. My salesperson, Pavneet Kaur, called it a misunderstanding and said CAS doesn't install. She told me to figure out installation myself or talk to their After Delivery support (which doesn't exist). Despite adamantly claiming that CAS doesn't install, she later sent a Boxing Day email that included this gem: "Easy installs to get your new appliances up and running fast, including dishwashers, gas ranges and laundry". Total BS.

I am going to instead review the type of service you get at this particular Direct Buy store. The service here is amazing. When we first walked in for our little infomercial tour, people were very pleasant and helpful, which you would expect because they ARE trying to sell you something. But once they had our money for membership (Which is their main profit source) the customer service remained impeccable. You walk in and they remember you name, ask you how you are, and are generally interested in what you have been up to since last time you were there. If you have any questions at all they will go out of their way to help you, and you WILL need help at first. We have bought a lot so far since we are doing some major renovations. We have only had one mess up in purchasing. The carpet was the wrong colour. It got picked up AND installed by our tradesman before we realized the error. The error was a mistake on DB's part. We walked in and with absolutely no argument they ordered us the right colour and apologized for the mistake. I was floored, and SO happy! I was fully expecting a argument... but nothing. Just instantly fixed with a smile and apology! Walk in, chat with one of the girls, grab a coffee and enjoy yourself while 'shopping'. If you're thinking of a Direct Buy membership, I can't really tell you what to do there as everyone's situation is different. But I can say the Customer Service you will receive at this location is amazing. Shout out to Megan, Janine, and Pat. You guys are great!

I had the worst shopping experience ever with The Brick Coquitlam (3000 Lougheed Hwy). On May 15,…read more2025, I purchased a sofa with financing. From that day until now (October 2 - more than 140 days later), the sofa has never been delivered. The problems started right away. They pressured us with a "special one-day promotion" and promised a $200 discount if we bought an extra item. We trusted them and bought a coffee table, but the discount was never applied. When I followed up, they simply denied ever saying it. That is dishonest. They also sent us "gifts" (a soundbar and pillows) we never asked for. Later, when we tried to cancel the order after endless delays, the manager said we could not cancel unless we paid $400 for those so-called gifts. Even when we offered to return them unused (because of poor quality), they refused and said they were "final sale." This is unacceptable. Every delivery promise was broken. July, then August, then "it has shipped" in September -- but still nothing. The manager made empty promises and never called back. Meanwhile, payments started in June and The Brick has been taking my money without delivering the sofa. The Brick has shown dishonesty, false promises, and terrible customer service. I will never shop here again and strongly warn others not to trust this store

This particular Branch of 'The Brick' became the final destination for a recent order of two…read morekitchen appliances we originally arranged to purchase via the Grand Daughter in Calgary. I had forwarded details of what we wanted -- re: a fridge and freezer -- and she placed the order with The Brick there. The Daughter then went to her nearest store here, paid for the items, and the order was transferred, all further communications and such came to us from this Coquitlam store. Though it took considerable time to acquire what we had ordered (due to back-ordering of one of the products), the store kept us well-informed of what was happening, and eventually all went well, along with a smooth and accommodating delivery to top it off. The old fridge had done its thing fir a long while, but it finally gave up and needed replacement. At the same time, we thought it would useful to add a small chest freezer to the place (a replacement for an old one which quit a year or so ago). So two new shiny appliances to use and enjoy -- a Frigidaire 12 cu ft, top mount freezer 'apartment-sized' refrigerator, and Frigidaire 5 cu ft chest freezer. We are both happy with selections made, and the total shopping experience received from 'The Brick'.

While the initial call and appointment setting process was reasonably smooth, things went downhill from there. Once we got the quote and approved it, it took over two weeks before they ordered the part. They indicated that the part should take 10 to 14 days to arrive. Over the ensuing 8 weeks, whenever I called to get an update ( I only succeeded in getting through to them 4 times from over 20 phone/text attempts. I was told they either didn't know what was going on, the part should arrive today/tomorrow and/or they would get back to me with an update. Nobody ever called me back or responded to phone or text messages. We eventually called another service provider and had everything complete within two weeks. Completely abysmal customer service. I would recommend that you stay away from this company.

The response by the owner to my negative rating amplifies the lack of corporate responsibility I…read morehave experienced. Nobody gets up in the morning to write a negative report about anybody. Nobody has even time for that. Besides, I'm not the only one. It would have been more convincing to apologize to a disappointed customer and offer a venue to improve upon the experience. Many negative reviews can be changed into a positive one by smart business owners. Again, this opportunity was not even attempted here. Which serves to solidify my initial observation and impression.
