Our oven broke down in the middle of July and the retailer that we bought it from recommended Fast Track Appliances which appears to be intrinsically linked to Ben's Appliances - their phone snd messaging systems are linked and they show the same address on their websites. While the initial call and appointment setting process was reasonably smooth, things went downhill from there. Once we got the quote and approved it, it took over two weeks before they ordered the part. They indicated that the part should take 10 to 14 days to arrive. Over the ensuing 8 weeks, whenever I called to get an update ( I only succeeded in getting through to them 4 times from over 20 phone/text attempts. I was told they either didn't know what was going on, the part should arrive today/tomorrow and/or they would get back to me with an update. Nobody ever called me back or responded to phone or text messages. We eventually called another service provider and had everything complete within two weeks. Completely abysmal customer service. I would recommend that you stay away from this company. read more

The response by the owner to my negative rating amplifies the lack of corporate responsibility I have experienced. Nobody gets up in the morning to write a negative report about anybody. Nobody has even time for that. Besides, I'm not the only one. It would have been more convincing to apologize to a disappointed customer and offer a venue to improve upon the experience. Many negative reviews can be changed into a positive one by smart business owners. Again, this opportunity was not even attempted here. My husband contacted Monday (their day off) and they arrived the next day. Ken assessed the issue with our Maytag Washer machine and fixed quickly and thoroughly. I will call Ben's Appliance to fix all of our appliances when needed. There prices are very reasonable too! read more

This family owned business is professionally run with knowledgeable staff who truly care about your needs. They are low pressure and will work with you to figure out the right option to go with. What an excellent experience. Same prices as every other store, including the big ones we all know. There are so many choices, Russ was able to help me decide which model from which manufacturer met my needs. He steered me away from the more expensive ones. That was impressive. When I need to change the delivery date last minute, it was no problem. Ben's has been top notch so far. When I went there to begin with it was because of the service capabilities; now with all things still new, I haven't tested that part yet but I am not worried at all. read more

Horrible non customer service..(How-not-to-treat-customers: An example by Ben's Appliances) Months after purchasing multiple appliances from them, we needed our appliances moved a few inches to access behind them. Naturally, we were happily prepared to pay them for their service call, and it all seemed a pretty benign request, so you'd think right. Wrong. Not to them apparently, as they started on about how they didn't disconnect appliances after they'd installed them (seriously?). First of all, we never asked for them to be disconnected NOR did they need to be. Yet, it took two different people to get on the phone to go on about how they never got these types of calls (Again, seriously? Do you really expect us to believe no one ever has called needing their appliance moved?). How utterly unhelpful can you get? They treated us like we had a stupidest weirdest request ever. That is how you treat/ lecture your customers? Making a massive deal (so much we were embarrassed for them) about moving an appliance a few inches? How does any of this make sense. It seems anyone needing such a service must listen to your ridiculous ramblings and rantings. What a horrible and unhelpful way to treat your customers after they've spent a wad with ... Fantastic service!! Every expectation I had with regards to customer service was met in every aspect of this process! I dealt with about 5 different people and the consistency in customer service was outstanding! Finding yourself without a washer is never a good experience, but all the folks at Ben's Appliances turned this tragedy into an easy process with a happy ending! The technician quickly determined why water ended up all over my floor, he spend a good amount of time determining the quickest fix, easiest fix, and discussed in detail (including prices) what was worth doing. The honest, informed, straightforward approach was very much appreciated! We decided to purchase a new unit, did our research and chose to purchase from Ben's because they provided all the info on their website; no hidden costs. In placing the order we were again given all the information right away, informed of protocol during covid, time it would take to get the machine, what was included, and the cost breakdown was accurate. The delivery and installation could not have gone smoother! The call came that the machine arrived, we scheduled the soonest date and we're told we would receive a call the morning of delivery with a 3hr time window, reminded again of covid protocol, and they answered all my questions. Again, they did exactly as they said they would! Got the call that morning, the time window was accurate and the installation went smoothly! The gentleman was friendly, explained what he was doing as he went through the process, offered time for me to ask questions throughout, and took great care not to damage walls and stairs in the tiny space he had to work in. Great customer service. The compressor on our bottom drawer fridge-freezer was not working, and when I was told the cost of repair versus the cost of replacement, I decided to buy a new one. When I went to the store, service was quick and the manager (I think he is also the owner) offered a replacement fridge while we waited for delivery. He contacted the delivery guys but they were already in White Rock (where I live). He left the store to go to the warehouse and loaded a replacement fridge into his pick-up truck and took it to the delivery guys, who came and installed the replacement and removed the broken fridge. Although I am a previous customer, given this service, I can't see myself going anywhere else for applicances. read more

This is honestly one of the best businesses I've ever dealt with for anything. When another appliance store let me down badly (Trail - damaged goods, unwilling to provide adequate compensation) Ben's Maytag came to the rescue. On the recommendation of a family member, I called them, told them I needed a dishwasher, gave them the approx price range I was able to pay and advised that I needed it installed and have the old one removed asap, They were able to provide me with an excellent quality appliance at a competitive price and were able to deliver and install the very next morning. The staff on the phone as well as the installer were super friendly, very courteous, and ever so helpful. I have nothing but good to say about this business. I will definitely deal with them for any appliance needs in the future. It is rare to get such high quality service nowadays. read more

This is a family business that has built it's reputation brick by brick which is something that I appreciate and can get behind.
