You can't beat the location. It's a super fun area to grab a quick haircut and get some amazing lunch. Always a good time coming here. One or the best barber scenes in the country. The chairs are super comfy. The barbers don't bother you if you don't feel like talking. You don't feel obligated to have to converse. When I arrived for my first hair cut, the barber asked me "Would you like me to clean you up?" I said "sure". I was a little apprehensive and thought "maybe I should be a little more specific on my end." What he did was shape my hair perfectly and evened out the messiness from the previous full cuts. I was so impressed. Granted, this means I have to get my hair cut more often but the prices here make that possible (best prices in town). Since then I have tried 4 of the varying barbers. They are all amazing in their own right. They are all comfortable instituting their own style. It's too small for me to notice but I can notice there is a subtle difference. The best part about it is the confidence: it allows you to feel really good about your hair. I know that if I leave it unstyled that it will still look great. Coast Barber Shop is a great three chair barber shop. They've been continuously open in Corona del Mar since 1967! Real barbers .... like it used to be. I've been getting flattops at Eddie's since the early 70s, nothing seems to change, always top-quality work, never a bad hair day! A good barber is one of those things you never seem to appreciate until you don't have one. Spending lots of time out of the area leaves me trying trying to find a barber that can match Eddie's flattops, it's always a risky ordeal being that once it's screwed up, there's not much to left to work with. Coast barbershop was a surprise and a real jam to find. I found it on yelp and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was an old-time barbershop with three barbers that were friendly and will experience than cutting hair. I was lucky enough to get Eddie as my barber, and had a wonderful conversation with him finding that he's been cutting hair for 51 years, you would never know it. I was long overdue for my haircut, decided to grow a beard about a month ago and asked Eddie to blend my sideburns end of the beard. None of this was any problem for him and he gave me a great haircut and cleaned me up well enough to go to a wedding. Bottom line is that I got a great haircut for a very reasonable price, enjoyed the experience and would definitely go there again and recommend it to my friends. read more

Fast Eddie and Angel have been my only barber for many years and I love the hair cuts and the whole feeling of the place. Yes, the hours are limited and most of the time you may have to wait a little. Fast Eddie and Angel have a life outside of the Barber Shop, they work long hard hours. Remember just because you show up at closing time that is no reason that the Barber has to work longer hours.
