We booked this hotel as it ticked a lot of boxes: central-ish location, pool, free parking. It didn't hurt that we also had really good rates when we booked! The check in process was efficient and the rooms comfortable. Both couples received room upgrades. We made ample use of the on-site restaurant for breakfast multiple times and for lunch at the pool once. The staff, particularly the bar staff, were lovely. The pool was great. It was still colder than a lot of people would like so we had no trouble finding space. We were even able to take up a table to play some board games. The only complaint we had was that despite indicating we would like housekeeping every third day they never actually came. We made do but it was a little frustrating. read more

After being turned down by several restaurants, the Capri stepped up in the most incredible way, offering us a private room beautifully set with linen, and a delicious buffet dinner featuring beef, chicken, and all the trimmings. Not only was it beautifully done, but they also made it economically feasible, which we're so grateful for. We were so well taken care of by two fantastic waitresses who provided warm, professional, and prompt service to 35 friends and family members. The woman who checked us in was a rude bit**. The man who work here that I saw helping other guests seemed to be very nice & helpful. Maid service is only available if you request it the night before. I paid extra for a room with a view...over a building. The wifi is so weak that I had to turn it off to post this review. The tv works...but the remote doesn't. There are way too many other options in this town to be bothered with this hotel. I suggest you seek accommodations elsewhere. read more

Nice hotel however despite it being the off-season and fairly empty, we had some issues that could have been solved and some inconsistent service. Only 1 bathrobe in the room, had to call down for 2nd. The pillows were horribly large and uncomfortable. There were 4 of us staying in 2 rooms and all 4 of us hated the over-fluffed pillows. The 1st night we had to use towels and our clothes. For the 2nd night they begrudgingly found some flatter pillows. The hot tub hours are inconsistent. Didn't see them posted anywhere. The first night we were told 11pm. The 2nd night our group were the only ones out there, and we were dead quiet. We watched a raucous and loud party with dancing and music going on in the bar right across from us but we were OK with that. A security guard came by and told us we could use the hot tub no problem and that there weren't "any" functional hours for it as a time limit that night. Then an arrogant woman in a black uniform came out and told us to get out of the hot tub. They need better/more signs and and more consistent training for the staff. read more

Booking was easy and we arrived at the hotel 3pm for checking in as indicated at the time of booking. Unfortunately room is not available till 3:30pm. All good since standard check in time is 4:00pm. Came back at 3:45pm and was told again room is not available till 4:30pm. Since 4:30 is beyond the standard check in time customer service right away offered me a $25 voucher for their restaurant and which I accepted. Room was available just before 4:30pm we did the check and was handed a form for breakfast that will be delivered next morning as per their covid procedure. Form list time slots for breakfast delivery. I inquire about swimming pool and was told we need to book in advance to use that facility. We went up to the room and all are in order. Nice clean bathroom, towels, room is clean, nice big tv and a view of the mountains thru the balcony. The next day breakfast came on time, it was perfectly cook and warm. Check out was easy, no need to stop by at the front desk, just need to call it in. Off we go heading back to Vancouver. read more

This is the worst hotel we have ever seen after stayed in more than 50 hotels. Old, dirty and no room services (stayed 4 nights). This was okey but charged us extra $250 from Mastercard without notifying. I called and told me somebody smoked in the room. Non of our family members smoked at all. After discussed with Travis Shannon from front desk, refused to refund with very bad attitude. This person is rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. The worst experience we have ever had. Stay away from this hotel. If you were already there, check your Mastercard bill carefully. I would give 0 if I could. read more

Poor security. Our expensive mountain bike was stolen and apparently there was a bike lock up they never told us about even though we told them we had a bike. Thieves used bolt cutters. Hotel should be advising people of the thefts in the area as the RCMP said it was common there. We asked about security for our bike and said nothing. Would have used the lock up. Sketchy area at night. Choose a newer hotel. read more

Stayed here Canada Day long weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a Superior King room and have absolutely no complaints. Our balcony looked over the pool, loved it. Went to the pool after breakfast Saturday morning and enjoyed it. The pool area is very clean and welcoming. We will definitely return and recommend others to stay at Capri. read more

Just checked in here for a first time stay and feeling VERY underwhelmed so far. Might change this rating if the experience improves over our 3-day stay but we will see... We have been assigned a room on the ground floor, which feels like a cheap motel, especially with the parking lot outside the window. Can hear our next door neighbors talking through the wall. Room is quite small. All this for nearly $200 a night? Seems a bit steep; although it's probably due to high season. Asked the front desk person named Rachel whether it might be possible to switch rooms tomorrow or the next day and she answered rather rudely "I'll see what I can do but we are booked solid." Very unimpressed with the absolute lack of customer service and stonewalling attitude. This woman is not pleasant. Didn't even want to ask anything else like where we might find the ice machine. Hotels know that first impressions count -- why plunk an obviously unpleasant person as the first encounter for your guests? Might even look into switching hotels and taking our service elsewhere if we have to deal with people like Rachel at this hotel. One star is for cleanliness and modern design. read more

I've stayed at the Coast Capri several times and I've had a pretty consistent experience here. I like the hotel, I like the rooms and the staff are always friendly. The hotel: The lobby has a little coffee place. Good to grab something on your way out. There is also a restaurant called Vintner's Poolside Grill. There are some big roll up window/garage doors so if there are rolled up then you are literally poolside. There's also a bar area with TV's. Had some dinner and wine one night and the food was good. The wine was really good, although I can't remember what it was (lol!). This morning I went down to try the hot buffet breakfast. It was waffles, scrambled eggs, little sausages and bacon and breakfast potatoes. They had cereals and croissants and the other usual stuff too. It was a nice touch to have some hot food. I enjoyed it. I haven't been swimming so I can't really comment on the pool. The rooms: I love the rooms here. They are set up nicely and make good use of the space. They are decorated nicely and I like the furniture. Very clean and tidy. One time I was on the 7th floor and had a really great room. The ceilings are really high and the room was really spacious. I've been on the 6th floor as well and the rooms were great too. Just a standard ceiling height. My two fave parts about the Coast Capri are 1) the balconies. I love stepping out there in the evening and having my cuppa tea. and 2) the doors to the bathroom are pocket doors. So why is this a nice touch for me? I'll tell ya. Bathroom floors are always cold. I like to put down the bath mat and leave it down so my little feeties don't get even colder than they always already are. Normal bathroom doors get all caught up on the bath mat when you open and close the door. Pocket doors? No problem. They are such space savers! I wish I had them in my apartment at home. The shower was nice. I like that the little 'coffee maker' isn't one of those k-cup thingies. I'm a tea drinker so i just want plain water with no residual coffee-ness to it please. Beds are comfy and they have 24h room service (which i have yet to use, but plan to in the future). I look forward to staying at the Coast Capri Hotel again. read more

The first and only real hiccup came at the airport when the hotel shuttle was late picking me up. When I called about it they were completely apologetic and told me they'd had the wrong time written down but they'd be right there. Since I wasn't the one who booked the hotel, it's hard to say who was at fault here. When he arrived, the shuttle driver was super friendly and had lots to tell me about life in Kelowna. It was a great first introduction to the city. The desk staff at the hotel were equally nice. The room itself was nice and clean and the bed was comfy. I spent more time in my room than I normally do on vacation so I was glad it was so nice. My only issue with the room is that the shower is poorly lit unless you want to turn on the heat lamps. Other than that, the room was great. I thought it was really innovative that they have full-size shampoo and conditioner containers in the shower rather than giving out mini versions of each. Those were available on the counter too if you REALLY wanted them but I liked the hotel's attempt to cut down on waste. I also appreciated having a balcony to sit out on though the view wasn't much to speak of. I had a room overlooking the roof with just a tiny peak of the mountains above them. I'm sure some of the other rooms have stunning views though so make sure to request one of them! read more

We stayed at the Coast because the Mr has a corporate rate with them and relatively close to where we needed to be for a weekend wedding. The hotel itself on the outside looks pretty basic (7 storey building, lots of ample parking outside) and like somebody mentioned, looks like a more upscale version of the holiday Inn type. Which is fine. Upon arriving, the lobby is cozy and very clean. The front desk is pretty tiny but there's always at least 2 people at the front counter. Employees were friendly and overall a good attitude. We checked in and I guess because we're corporate, we get better rooms (maybe?) so we were in room 741 overlooking the city towards Downtown. It was a king suite and the room looked very clean and well kept. High ceilings and even a balcony! The room is well laid out, but my only beef is the bathroom is a bit small. We had the breakfast buffet both mornings and it was pretty tasty for a hotel comped breakfast. At least..I think it's comp? We received tickets for both days but both times nobody ever asked us for our tickets. I remember seeing rates specifically for breakfast so I'm not sure how this would be fair to those who paid for a breakfast..when it could be free for all? I don't know. Anyways--back to the food. I was pleasantly surprised with the options. Cereals, fruit, fresh pastries, oatmeal, scrambled eggs (and still a bit runny, my favorite!), sausage, ham/bacon (depending on the day), waffles/pancakes and a wide range of bread! Coffee/tea, apple and orange juice for all! Overall, I was really impressed with the breakfast and super convenient for those on the go. Free wifi, parking included, YAY! read more

Had a great stay during the BC day long weekend. Hotel looked bland outside, but was really nice in. Front desk staff were friendly and always helpful. Had our bikes stored in their store room which was much better then leaving it on the car. We had room 544 facing Harvey, room was quiet even though close to main street. wife, daughter and I had the 2x queen room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Room was good size, comes with a small fridge. Also had the comp breakfast buffet for our stay. I was impressed how good the breakfast was. Had Scrambled eggs, bacon (tasty and had little fat which the wife and daughter loved) waffles, fresh fruits, local cherries (yum!) oatmeal, cereal, bread, pastries, coffee, juice. They even had a special energy green juice. 2nd day they had sausages (which were tasty too and weren't really salty!), french toast. They must have a really good food person working there! All in all, very happy with our stay and would recommend! read more

The staff here are friendly. They helped reserves our room when I called from Lake Louise and told them I'll arrive late. Their service made my stay comfortable for my road trip . Just now I left my coat at the closet, the housekeeper informed me that I l forgot thing. The thoughtfulness of the staff make me happy and will want to return in future road trip! read more

I usually stay with relatives when I visit Kelowna, but I always stay at least one night at the Capri Hotel. If you go in the summer, try to book a poolside room, which allows you to get to the pool directly from your room. This hotel looks better on the inside than the outside, but it is a Kelowna tradition, the staff are friendly and helpful and the pool is heaven. The atmosphere is great. Guests always seem to be having a good time. read more

I was really impressed with this hotel -- it felt like a very upscale mid-range hotel (think a high-end Holiday Inn). Renovations are great.

Stayed as a walking disabled senior with my son, daughter- in-law, and grandchild. The desk could see I was walking disabled and put us in the far end of the hotel. A real hike when you use a walker or canes. The bathroom for the restaurant users is to small for a walker. I had to stumble down the row of bathroom stalls and leave the door open in case I fell. I was locked out of my room and sat in the lobby until my family was ready to leave. Politely (and boy is the staff polite in saying NO), the staff brought my luggage down from the room. I refused to walk and hike up and down those long long hallways. The restaurant had a nice selection but my walker could not go over the pebbled floor and I lost my coffee and broke the cup. I wasn't forced to pay for the broken cup. The fellow guests were more helpful than the staff. The guests offered to carry my luggage and also to serve me in the restaurant. For the price you are paying for someone that can say "NO" politely and with a big smile. read more
