I needed a refill on his heartworm medication and last time I ordered it from their pharmacy even thou it was $5.00 more than Chewy. I am very anxious to check out (1/2 hr. in room waiting before anyone came) The invoice came to $539.27 I wasn't sure I heard her right but thought that I figure it out at home. Today I tried to return the unopened box ($256.73) to order what he had been taking $75.49 and they refused as the box had left the building.

This place has gone down hill so bad i am finding another vet for my three dog and i have been a customer for more than 20 years!! you would think that they would treat 20 year customers better than they do! but in the end it's all about the money now with this new crew! What doctor Selig created there with making the customer feel at home is gone!!! And i just don't like the way i am treated there! I don't ask for much but after being a customer with three dogs for 20 plus years i am treated like the new customer that just walked in the door! And i have spent a ton of money here more than most people ever would!!!! so see you later new generation people who have no customer or people skills!!

This review has taken me a long time to write since everything still feels so fresh. After having…read morethe absolute worst month of my life with my dog being in the care of another horrible vet who I directly blame for my dogs decline, I made the choice to switch to this vet after reading online that Dr Stubbs (a literal angel from heaven) did euthanasia house calls. I called her in tears late on a Saturday night, she walked me through a few things and squeezed me in her schedule early Monday morning. From the very start my nerves were calmed just by her demeanor and the way she got down ON THE GROUND so my poor sick dog didn't have to get up for her to look at him. She was able to contact the other vet, Gulfport veterinary hospital, and request all of his records from them. Long story short, in the nicest way possible, told me my dog wasn't going to make it and that the best thing to do would be for him to go to sleep. She held me while I cried and even talked to her team to be able to squeeze us in her schedule yet again later that day for her to come to my home to my sweet boy down. Her and Dylan were so gentle and so sweet and let me have my time with my baby. She once again hugged me tight while I cried in her arms and comforted me the way I needed to be at the lowest point of my life. Thank you so much doctor stubbs and the whole team for being so great to me and my Eddie boy. I have non stop recommended this place to my neighbors and friends. Thank you so much for making house calls, I can't tell you what it means to people like me. I wish I would've found this place when I was first searching for care for him.

I brought my dog in for hot spots from allergies. They squeezed something into her mouth, drew…read moreblood, and gave her two injections without explaining anything or telling me what anything was. That was extremely frustrating. I will say, the doctor was nice, but there was no communication and it was overwhelming. They walked in with a metal tray of syringes without even seeing my dog yet, then just went at it and I had no idea what anything was. Then, they have a cat named Jake that apparently lives in the waiting room. My 3 yr old tried to pet him and the cat bit him. The older woman at the desk just said "well he's declawed". I said "the cat bit him". Her response was "yeah, he can be a little bipolar". She couldn't have cared less. A young nurse heard my son crying, came from the back, heard what happened, said "uh oh" and went to grab an antibacterial spray. She told me if it got red or swollen, to take him to urgent care. Said she was sorry about that, and that was it. First, if you know that a cat you keep out in the open & around the public is bipolar, maybe don't have him out there or at least have a sign posted asking people not to pet it. Second, I'm not sure why it's a good idea at all to have a free roaming cat in a waiting room at a vet office where dogs constantly come in. That seems to be asking for trouble & it's not a very thought-through action. This was my first visit here, coat $245, and I won't be returning. Come to find out, they didn't even treat her for what I came in for. I called about allergies, they did nothing for her allergies. Look at the pic of her from chewing herself up and tell me why no shot was given to help her allergies. No wonder they didn't actually tell me what they were giving her. Reply from Animal Care Hospital to my google review: Hi Heather, we're sorry you were dissatisfied with your visit and appreciate the opportunity to clarify several points from your review. Your appointment was scheduled for an annual exam, routine vaccinations, and evaluation of skin concerns. During the visit, the doctor and veterinary technician performed a full exam and explained the procedures being administered. These included rabies , DAPP+L (the two shots) and a Bordetella vaccination (oral) as well as a blood draw for a heartworm test, which is a standard and recommended screening. All medical supplies were brought into the room in a standard plastic container, not a metal tray. We strive to communicate clearly and encourage clients to ask questions at any time during their visit. Had there been any confusion or concerns regarding the care being provided, our team would have been happy to pause and address them in the moment. Regarding the incident in the lobby, our clinic cat was resting in his tower and was not roaming the waiting area. Staff did advise that he can be unpredictable, and when he growled, a verbal warning was given. Unfortunately, your child continued to attempt to pet him and was bitten. One of our veterinary technicians immediately cleaned the area with chlorhexidine scrub and advised putting triple antibiotic ointment on the area. The technician also advised you to keep an eye on the area and if it looked like it was getting more red to please visit urgent care. After the incident was over the technician apologized for what happened. Our clinic cat has lived at the hospital for nine years and is routinely secured upon request. Unfortunately he did and does give warning signals when he doesn't want to be bothered. We take safety seriously and addressed the situation promptly and appropriately. While we regret that your experience did not meet expectations, we stand by the care provided and wish you and your family the best moving forward. ***Here's what I added to my review after their infuriating response: I would like to clarify a few things since the Vet decided to respond with a slew of lies. 1.) The appointment was made because my dog was having allergies, had been treated for allergies in the past, and we needed to establish care at a Vet here to do the same. This was expressed when I called and when I arrived. She wasn't even treated for the allergies like I requested, and was given vaccines that were 100% brought in on a tray. Stop lying. 2.) There was NO prior warning given to us about the cat. There was NOBODY in the waiting room other than the lady at the counter who did not say a single word about his temperament, that he should be avoided, that he can be mean, or that he has bitten/been aggressive before until AFTER he bit my son. We will now be contacting animal control over an aggressive animal bite. If normal citizens get their animals taken away or put down over aggression, you will too. Stop lying to make yourselves look better. Take some ownership of the poor service you provided, the rudeness of your front desk staff.

At last minutes notice our pup an Australian Shepherd named Maverick was boarded at the facility,…read moreand we greatly appreciate that. He had to stay one day longer than expected, and we greatly appreciate that. Upon arrival on 12-23-25, I was informed that he had a small injury due to an incident with another dog while playing. I would like to pause here and say that I had no problem with that. It's within a dog's nature for incidents like this to happen. Though I did not appreciate the attempt to charge me for medication that was needed because of the incident; I didn't make a fuss. I settled in my mind we would not be a repeat customer. I was told that he needed antibiotics to prevent "possible" infection. Maverick has had an injury more severe than this ( I shared this information with the dr) I was sure we would be able to take care of him to prevent the possibility of infection. On our ride home he had an odor. No problem agin. We have a groomer that makes house calls. He was not himself, very lethargic and wouldn't eat. After watching him late into the night I realized that infection was already set in, and this is what the familiar odor was. This is where the problem begins. The lack of care. Maverick needed care before 12-23-25 and did not receive it. I was told by the dr his injury was only noticed when he was being prepared to leave. I can only speculate the injury had to occur on day 1 or 2 of him being boarded with Fur Baby's. Not only was he not cared for; he was overlooked. I was told that I was responsible for any care or medication he would receive for an injury that happened during his stay. If Fur Baby's was only a grooming and boarding facility I may have been alright with that, but the fact that this is a vet hospital posses HUGE concern. He had to have a health assessment upon arrival, and as records should show he was completely fine, and should have left in the same condition he came in. We can only be thankful that we knew how to provide wound care and had resources to get the antibiotics needed. I was told that this is not standard treatment, but for some odd reason on this day all customer service, compassion, and responsibility for an animals wellbeing just flew out of the window. While in the office I was gaslighted and brushed off. As to say the problem is mine, and was told that Fur Baby's didn't have any responsibility due to the fact that Maverick was an intact male. AGAIN the incident is not what I take issue with. It's the lack of care. We have performed wound care and given him antibiotic since 3am 12-24-25. That's 5 days so far, and have several pictures, and are willing to share with anyone. I
