I had three appointments, at the Hinesville,GA location, with them and all three times were definitely worth it. When I had to do root canals before, I remember the long visits because of the anesthesia waiting time and the root canal taking several hours with jarring pain every now and then. At Coastal, everything is up-to-date, i didn't expect a computer determining how much anesthesia to administer, the quality of X-rays, and more. Coastal is like my top meter level and I will start holding other dental clinics to their standard. The dentist was knowledgable but not arrogant or up-tight, like my previous dentists, he was personable, caring, and very professional. He definitely knows whats he doing and makes sure you understand everything that is going on, to include how to read the X-rays. The Dental Assistants, Alexia & Keely, were just as smart as the dentist and much more caring, focused on the procedures, definitely made me feel like I wanted to be there because they took the anxiety and stress out of the dental visit that most people would get when going to the dentist. They offered a blanket and a pillow for waiting for the anesthesia to take effect and because of the cold temperatures of the AC or when I was waiting to see the dentist. When the procedures were done, they gave me a warm towel to wipe my face, for a moment i thought i was traveling first class, i did not expect that at all. The conversation with dentist after the procedure to talk about follow-up care and a cool X-ray of what happened during the visit so you can look at the before and after was pretty cool. Monique was very helpful on assisting in navigating the coastal website and other signatory information that had to get done. These visits were definitely memorable dental experiences. If i ever had to go off-base to another dentist and was stationed at Ft. Stewart longer, i would definitely put in a request to go there again. read more

I can honestly say that I have had my share of root canals and Dr. Lea has done 4 of them and is by far the best there is ! Who would've ever thought a root canal could be comfortable???? The atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel at home from the time I walked into the office! I was never mislead about the procedure or financial aspect and knew exactly what to expect. It was so pleasant being able to cut up and laugh with Dr. Lea and his staff! I, unfortunately had some trauma due to an accident on vacation and was seen immediately upon my return home and needed to be sedated for a fractured root requiring surgery and it was amazing! He personally called me to check and see how I was and that in itself was priceless! I would refer anyone I know to him for a root canal and rest assured that they would find 100% satisfaction! Dr. Lea was professional and informative. He explained each step of the procedure along the way. His mannerism is very pleasant, and to be honest, I found that the root canal was easier to handle than getting a filling, or having a tooth prepared for a crown. I had very little pain at all after the procedure and the 48 hours to follow. The only thing I had a problem with was the initial anesthesia which is not Dr. Lea's fault. It was the way my body reacted, and was caused from an underlying health issue. However, it did not hinder my having the procedure. Jutta was assisting and she was the best! Very professional and did an outstanding job supporting me throughout. Delaney was most helpful with my check-out. I knew in advance what my charges were going to be and there were no surprises. I was recommended to have my root canal done here and I wasn't let down one bit! My check in patient care coordinator Stacie was kind and very pleasant as she got me checked in, and the Dental assistant Lay was a great time throughout the entire process, she was knowledgeable, comforting, engaged and attentive in the best way! The root canal was as swift and precise as you could ask for, little to no discomfort at all, loved how throughout the procedure everything that was being done was verbalized and explained to add to the peace of mind. Needed to have an ongoing pain checked out and was referred to Dr. Ferreira by my dentist, next door to him in Richmond Hill. Expecting the worst, a tooth extraction, I was surprised to hear that wasn't necessary and the latest technology enabled Dr. Ferreira to diagnose the problem and use methods (too complicated to explain) that would relieve the pain for good with no tooth loss. Great! The two-trip procedure was fast (to my thinking) and professionally done. I tip my hat to the doctor's support staff; Christa,who assisted him, Josh, who checked me in and called with appointment reminders, and Delaney, who did checkout and future appointment scheduling. After suffering through a couple of root canals in Savannah during the past 5 years, I decided to set up an appointment with Dr. Lea for a second opinion on yet another troublesome tooth. What a great decision! The experience was actually enjoyable! Dr. Lea explained the medical rationale factoring into the decision to address the tooth pain as well as every part of the procedure using what appeared to be a 48-inch flat screen, real time, X-ray display, positioned at the foot of the dental chair. This place is awesome! I had a root canal last year that was a breeze. Mrs. Jutta and Tina made sure I was comfortable through the entire thing. Dr. Lea explained the what he was doing the entire thing and would stop to make sure I was comfortable. I had to go back in today for a different tooth and the entire staff is still the best. Jojo and Shelby helped Dr. Lea with shaving down a sharp edge so that I could make it to schedule a root canal at a later date. The check out girl Monique explained my bill to me and was very sweet. I have been a patient under the care of Dr. Lea and is staff on more than one occasion. I was nervous about the procedure, like anyone would be of they a root canal. Dr. Lea explained the procedure in step by step detail. He and his staff reassured me that it would be "pain free" and honestly....it was just that, pain free. I went in for retreatment on a previous root canal and I was in severe pain. When I was at my worst the staff was so kind and was able to squeeze me in and see me sooner. The doctor was outstanding very knowledgeable and informative. The assistant was so patient and comforting, we need more people in the world like her. I love getting a root canal here! Yes, I said it. Many people dread root canals...I've had two in this office, and let me tell you....no pain, no scary procedure. My first RC was back in April 2014.
