Vigil N Sons was one of the few contractors that didn't turn their nose up at my small job - many of those I reached out to for quote either ignored me or came back with "we aren't doing any work with an estimate less than $20,000". Aaron was extremely easy to work with, and I'm a very picky individual. He went out of his way to make sure I got the cabinets, flooring, and colors all exactly as I wanted. He was happy to provide suggestions for what could be installed but was also equally happy to use the materials I specified within the provided budget. He originally quoted 3-4 days to complete the work once it started, and even with inclement weather getting in the way, he still got the work completed in 3.5 days. I've waited a month after the work was completed to write and post this review, and I have to say the level of quality started out high and has remained that way. Everything has remained solid, the flooring hasn't developed any creaks, and everything is still securely assembled. I will certainly quote any future work with them first and foremost, and highly encourage anyone else to do the same!

They told me that they didn't cut me off of the wet stuff, but instead I should call a plumber, there was a leak that led to someone who came and shut the water off. I called Tomsett early in the morning, and explained the problem. They said that they had a job in Aransas Pass, but this didn't sound like a big job, so they could take care of it immediately. Within minutes, they were on the job. They diagnosed the problem, let me know what was happening, what it was going to take to fix it. We discussed the options on how to fix it, and Tomsett made some recommendations. We immediately agreed, and the plumber made a small cut in the side of the wall to facilitate fixing the pipes, and had everything sealed up and fixed quickly. Chris was very good at what he does. I think it's a husband and wife team who make all this plumbing magic work. Their rates were fair, and their response time was immediate, which was greatly, greatly appreciated. These guys are my new plumbers!

This was a nightmare, Review for Coastal One And Done Builders - Owner: Bill Vasquez I contracted Coastal One And Done Builders Rockport TX, led by Bill Vasquez, to construct a 10x16 gazebo BBQ Shack based on a previous positive experience with a deck he built for us. Unfortunately, this second project was a major disappointment and highlighted serious issues in both work ethic and project management. At the outset, Bill presented himself as experienced and knowledgeable. However, that quickly gave way to poor follow-through and a lack of professional discipline. He consistently worked only 4 to 6 hours a day and allowed the project to stretch out over three full weeks--far longer than was reasonable for a structure of this size and scope. Communication was infrequent and inconsistent, with Bill frequently unavailable or vague in his updates. At one point, he even left for Tennessee mid-project, prioritizing personal time and other work over my build and leaving it sitting incomplete. It was clear that my job was placed on the back burner without much concern for timelines or customer expectations. The finished product was mediocre at best. The roof was noticeably out of square, resulting in a metal roof installation that failed to meet the standard 12-inch overhang. Despite purchasing all necessary materials, Bill chose not to use all of them--hiding the drip edge rather than installing it properly, and insisting his approach was correct. These choices were not just aesthetic oversights--they reflect a lack of attention to detail and unwillingness to accept constructive feedback. At one point I had to get very rough with him just to get the job done. Words were heated but not without warrant. While the original quote was $5,000, the final cost ballooned to $7,565. While I did request certain material changes to ensure code compliance (something Bill should have already been aware of), the significant price increase revealed his inexperience in estimating and managing a job of this size. The overage was not due to scope creep, but rather due to poor planning and miscalculations. In hindsight, bringing Bill to North Carolina for this build was a serious mistake. While the initial deck he built a year ago had good workmanship, this recent experience completely undermined my previous impression. Respect for his craftsmanship does not excuse the lack of professionalism, inflated costs, poor communication, and disregard for proper building standards. Other jobs in the area we recommended him for he did in the same fashion those people were not totally satisfied. I do not recommend Coastal One And Done Builders for larger or more detailed projects. Proceed with caution, and be prepared for potential delays, cost overruns, and substandard results. read more

None of the legal paperwork required was completed and registered with the County Clerk so there is no record other than documents still held in files by original homeowners.. The additional lot that had been separated out of the original tract of land and had waterfront access was sold complete with the permit for the pier. Consequently the advertised pier access went with that sale. The only suggestion I have for people using these builders is to please go over your legal rights very carefully because they appear to me to have no respect for an honorable deal and do not want to stand by their mistakes and they have no intention to make them right.
