We were met with smiles and a very caring group of people who helped us break out of our comfort zone. Our instructor Greg is absolutely amazing. He took two completely green dancers and guided us towards a goal of having an extremely beautiful choreographed "first dance". Going out and dancing every two weeks was a great experience. It gave us the confidence to get out on that dance floor for our "first dance" and kill it. It was an absolute blast. We surprised everyone in our family with our first dance. No one knew that we had been planning this for months. We really knocked their socks off. And it is all thanks to the great staff over at Fred Astaire Dance Studio!!!!

We have been coming to DTL for about 2 years after being at another local dance studio for several…read moreyears. Miss Brady and the rest of the staff of DTL are amazing. Every single person who works here is kind and helpful. The class sizes are small which allows my daughter to learn better. The communication from Miss Brady about classes, recitals, costumes, etc is quick and efficient. The Covid protocols are well enforced - we felt safe (and were safe!) throughout Covid. The waiting room and facilities are clean and organized. Miss Brady understands that some kids want to eat, sleep and breathe dance and others want to dance as a hobby. What a night!! I came here to celebrate my friend for her birthday. It was a group of 7 of us, and…read morethe host made sure we all had an incredible time, while also paying extra attention to the birthday girl. It's all in the small details; such as my friend having the center pole in front of the room and getting to choose certain aspects of our own choreographed dance. We started off with a stretch/warm up routine which was sexy on its own (haaaaay), and then we transitioned into learning some of the basics like walking around the pole, body movements, climbing the pole, and two different moves while spinning on the pole. As she taught us, we also choreographed a piece we then performed at the end. I absolutely love her confidence as an instructor and a woman; it made me feel more confident in my own ability as a very amateur attendee. Needless to say that we had a blast! The only thing is that it can be a bit difficult finding the place but I hope my review can help those who'd like to attend in the future. Directions on how to find the studio: there is a parking lot you can park in, when you get out of your car, walk towards the back that says "Building A" and the studio is on the fourth floor. Also, make sure that when you arrive, it's right on the dot because if you come earlier, you aren't allowed to come in until the class is finished and it is pretty hot in the waiting area outside of the studio. Also, also: bathrooms are located outside of the studio and you will see signs that point to them. If I were you, I'd give this experience a try with this studio! Bring your friends, or yourself - either way I'm sure that you'll have a blast. Enjoy!

I had a lot of fun participating in the class led by Jen. I plan on coming back whenever I hit the East Coast to visit home. This is a great group of ladies providing an excellent fitness experience that is unique to the Jersey Shore. The classes are small so you get plenty of time on the apparatus. My only advice to you is to warm up before class on your own because you will need it to prevent injuries. Aerial is a very intensive workout. The instructor launched straight into the class hour, so arrive early and be prepared. Wear comfortable clothing, don't wear lotion, and leave the jewelry at home. Bring a water bottle.
