Been using this location for shipping for the past 9 years including when it was still Jerribobs. Since this location has been bought and changed to Coastal Postal, I haven't noticed any difference. I still get great service and all my packages get to their destinations without issue. The staff have all been very nice and helpful in every transaction. Some prices have increased, which does not surprise me since everything does. Note: this location is not a UPS store, they ship for the carriers but are not directly affiliated. I do my free Amazon returns at Kohl's or UPS directly. If you need mailing or shipping services, Coastal Postal is a convenient and easy provider to use. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE, I REPEAT DO NOT!!!! I paid 150$ for a package to be overnighted to me and it wasn't, well i filed a claim with fed ex and they sent the reimbursement to the third party shipper and coastal postal did receive the funds as Oliver the representative told me the owner would just need to write a check for me. Well the owner came out and immediately said "i don't have a check, you're not getting your money" and i said "no it was instantaneous because I just got off the phone with the fed ex manager- the invoice number was 0702414164" he didn't care and called the cops on an "irate customer" i was as calm as can be. He filed a report for trespassing and i cannot come back and retrieve my funds- ever. I've attached photos of the claim and my receipt of how much i paid. This is HOW HE MAKES HIS MONEY!! He has a contract with fed ex that states "he has to give the client reimbursement if they file a claim" yet he could care less because it goes into HIS bank account. Fed ex manually sends it to the sender, not the shipper it's set up that way (per the contract!) IVE BEEN SUPPORTING THIS BUSINESS FOR OVER 5 years and after today i feel disgusted to ever have done business with him!!! read more

I read the reviews on this location and thought "a fed ex location is a fed ex location" WRONG!!! Rudest man ever at the counter and an absolutely nasty, dirty place. I took two fed ex returns with a return label attached in the EXACT packaging that they were delivered to me and he wouldn't accept them. I had not even opened or unpacked them! This is how they were shipped by Wayfair! All I did was take out the packing slip from the front pocket and replace it with the one provided to me by Wayfair. Oh well, live and learn. Sent a package there to someone who was no longer a customer without knowing it. Called to ask the status of my package as it said it had been delivered to the front desk. The guy was a total jerk. Package still sitting there. Giving one star because zero wasn't an option. In response to the owners untruthful reply. There was never any screaming, not even a harsh word. I was told to call back in two seconds because of the fax machine was screeching and he couldn't hear me, so I did. When I called back the second time, there was still no screaming and I only wanted to check on the status of the package that was delivered there. Apparently he has so many irate customers he's getting them all confused. Wow. A banshee? Really? The replies to the reviews should be enough for people to know they shouldn't use this location. although this place advertises itself as a UPS shipping center you cannot use Amazon QR codes here. They don't have the honesty to tell you this on their website but there is a sign on the door to tell you you've made a wasted journey. Better find a real UPS store. read more

As a Yelp Elite, I don't write many 1 star reviews and I don't leave them lightly. Please consider that. Let me first just say, bring back Jerribob's ownership!!!! This place was soooooooo much better when Jerribob owned it. It has seriously, seriously, gone downhill since they sold it to the current owner(s). As a UPS Store location, one expects to receive certain services so when those services are not available or are now an upcharge, yeah, it's a fail. One of my issues with this place is that it can't perform basic Amazon return services. Amazon is set up so you just bring back your return, have the UPS Store scan a QR code emailed to you by Amazon and then they print a label and ship back your return. Nothing to it. Coastal Postal can't do this!!! So if you choose that option at home and drive all the way over to CP, they can't do it for you. What they can do however, is offer to CHARGE you to do the return by printing out the return label the old fashioned way using YOUR Amazon account, just like you'd do at home. So incredibly lame. Why would I pay you guys to print a return label the old way when I can just do it at home (unless I didn't have a working printer) and leave the package on my porch for UPS to pick up? They have signs all over the place in here saying they charge a dollar to tape up your package (dude, tape is soooooooooo cheap...take it from me, I've run my own Ebay store for over 10 years), and that's a buck PER package. Signs also say they won't accept prepaid USPS postage items, Etsy & Ebay prepaid postage items, and they won't accept any packages that are wrapped in brown construction paper. What's with all the rules? Seriously? This place has more rules than the actual post office! Basically, unless they can figure out a way to charge you, they won't offer the service to you. Nothing done for free here. You're paying for EVERYTHING...even receipts... I've been to lots of UPS Stores and none work like this!!! Additionally, this store's owner charges a dollar PER printed UPS return receipt, so if you do a print at home return label for your Amazon return and you drop off your return here, they will print you a receipt for that return sure, but they charge you a dollar per!!!! Jerribob charged nothing. All other UPS stores I've ever been to do not charge either! Coastal Postal is all about nickel and diming customers to death. Seriously. And what's with the lame flea market feel inside now? Backscratchers, mosquito repellant, keychains, cheap ass sunglasses, and all kinds of other flea market dollar store crap (priced much higher than a dollar) for sale all over the place in here. Like I said, the place has gone downhill like an avalanche. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention the ankle biting dog that runs around sniffing everybody that waits in line as the guys that work here nickel and dime everyone to death. Go to the UPS Store in the Kroger shopping center on Carolina Forest Boulevard (its address is on Renee Drive). It's next door to a real dollar store in which you can buy lots of packaging tape and flea market items for an actual dollar. Awww lots of bad stuff written below. Sad to hear. I myself have had great service and quality from this place. They are fast, knowledgeable and very helpful. I mail out things at least once a week or have things printed out and they always are nice and never condescending if I am computer illiterate. I like the atmosphere here and the employees. Never had an issue. They are honest with the date that things go out and when it should be delivered. Don't get angry if you are having a bad day it's not their fault if mail is slow. Full service and exceptional. And CONVENIENT! I am surprised to see people write, I came in with my pre paid label and just want to drop it off, but needed an extra service such as tape etc, and couldnt believe I had to pay for it. Seriously people, were do you go for a service that you get for FREE? Because I would like to go there too! If you are at UPS, you pay them for the shipping so yeah what's a little piece of tape. But when you print your UPS label at home you pay UPS, or print your free Amazon return label, and then go to a shipping store and ask employees to finish packing your box, who pays them? They should print labels and tape boxes for everyone who doesnt pay them anything? Come on! So unreasonable. How cheap can people be?? read more

I brought an amp head (62lbs, 12"x28")in at 9:15 am to be packaged and shipped to Florida. Now I know they are the experts at packaging and shipping. so he suggested he would put it in a box and leave about 4" clearance around it and he'd use spray foam as a buffer, and it'd be about $158. for that and shipping. so the next day around 1000 am I get a call that he'd finally boxed it up and it would be $229. so I paid over the phone to get it shipped. I was surprised at the jump in price but at least it should be packaged right. when the amp arrives to destination in Florida, the boxed is broken open, the amp is broken as well ( the 1/4" wooden shell and tolex are broken apart) and 4 tubes damaged. I'm told by rep at the shipping store that the amp broke out and it's not his fault. now I've had to buy another amp shell and tubes from manufacturer to send to the recipient of the amp. Now I'm out another $512. Don't use this place to ship your items read more

I posted a review of this place in July regarding my experience with the owner. I don't have access to respond to his comment, so this will essentially be the response. I paid for OVERNIGHT shipping- regardless of what YOU charge it's through Fed Ex and Fed Ex has a policy of their own. I didn't come to YOU demanding a refund. I contacted Fed Ex and the refund was processed back to YOUR STORE. The claim was VALID (I've attached pictures of the claim), and it was delivered after 4 PM (you should know that "overnight" is deemed delivered that morning, not after 12 PM.) I never once cursed at you because I was raised better and that is just a simple FACT. This was INDEED my first time you asked me to leave. I don't even live in Myrtle Beach? Just raised there. So, no you've mistaken me for someone else. I never used your printer or your computer. Your worker even looked confused and the officer asked him what happened- his story is CLEARLY way different than yours. I Filed a complaint with Fed Ex also because you have NO right to hold claimant money from a company that works WITH you, not FOR you! I also don't care to come into your store USPS does a better job with customer service and they don't lie! Now i've wasted all my time on you and your business. read more

I tried to give this new owner a chance but am really disappointed. First off he is very condescending as are his Young employees. He always wants to add a little "extra tape" to every package not cause he is being nice but b/c he is charging you a dollar every time on every package and doesn't even tell you. I printed something off his computer the other day and he purposefully has the printer set to color. This cost me $30 + cause there was a blue end line at the end of every page making that a color print. Would of cost $3 if not for that. When I complained of the absurdity he acted as if it was all my fault and became overly defensive as if I was not careful and should of known it was set to color. Like c'mon what a cheap shot. Then he doesn't take any prepaid packages but was happy to try and ship my other packages that again needed that tape but said I would have to take the others to the post office. Well then what's the point of even coming there? Don't worry I will happily support the post office who doesn't charge that extra 10-20 % for shipping as well. Very snarky condescending guy that won't get any more of my business from me and my friends in carolina Forrest. Just go the post office and save money and aggregation.
