Went here for the 1st time on Saturday September 20th 2025 with my parents. We were looking for an office chair for my parents office in our house. If you don't know Office Max, it is like an Office Depot with more options, and like a Staples that sells printers, computers, office furniture, artwork, and more! We parked, walked in towards the back where the office chairs and furniture was. Actually saw alot of desks that I liked, and could have brought when I was looking for a desk back in like March/May. One even had lots of storage that came with the desk. Again, not that we were looking for desks but, if anything should have came in this place sooner! Anyways, we looked at office chairs, and they had plenty of all shapes and sizes. One good part is that they had them all out of their boxes so that we can physically sit on them. My parents found a chair that they liked, however, it was a little pricey. So unfortunately we walked out without buying anything, But will keep this store in mind for our office needs! read more

Training in customer service must not be a priority at this location. One of the Associates, named Scott, talked me into buying the wrong ink cartridge for my printer, even though I showed him what I needed on my phone. He initially told me I would have to go to Staples for that. I found it odd that an Office Max employee was directing me to a competitor for an item I had purchased before at Office Max. Then, he picked up a cartridge and told me it would work. Back at my office, I discovered the error and had to drive back to the store. After standing in line for over 15 minutes because the two Associates on the registers were moving in slow motion, I spoke to the same Associate and told him I needed a refund since what he gave me was wrong for my printer. With a lackadaisical tone he said, "Ok. No harm no foul." He obviously had no concern that his error caused much inconvenience for me during my busy workday. Neither did he apologize. I would have been better off if he didn't try to help me. Next time, I will take Scott's advice and shop at Staples. No joke. read more

I stopped in last week to see if they had a desk to meet my specs. They did. I was getting ready to purchase when a woman, perhaps a manager but I'm not sure, suggested I wait until Sunday because sales start then.. At first I thought go ahead and get it because maybe it's 20 bucks off right? But I waited and it turned out it was $111 less expensive because it was indeed on sale. AND there is an installation service that will put it together and I don't have to do it myself or listen to my husband and it is available Nationwide. I don't know about the rest of that service but I know I'm pretty tickled to try it out. Thank you whoever it was at the store who suggested I wait until Sunday. I really appreciate you. OfficeMax is a convenient place to shop for my home and business stationary needs. They carry most everything I use from small items like staples up to desk sets. All of which I have purchased there. Prices can be high for some items, you just have to shop around. It is seldom that I had to go elsewhere to find an item. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful making it easy to figure what printer cartridge I need. Will continue to shop here. read more

I used the fax services at Office Max. They charged me $14 for 7 pages and 1 of 7 was a cover page. I was told it was long distance since it was a town 1.5 hrs away. Pricing like that is ridiculous. There are other options and better ones in my opinion for all of my office supplies and needs. I don't believe I was charged a reasonable price for this self help service. read more

Stopped in to take advantage of the fourth of July sale. Bought my wife a new desk at a very good price. The young man who assisted us and took the desk out to the car was very polite and helpful to us and others. I can't remember his name, but he worked the afternoon of 7/1/17. I've gotten business cards, had a banner made and had a logo vectored and I have had no problems. Service can be a bit slow in the print area, only because they seem to only keep about 4 people on staff and the print center only had one person for the times that I visited. So it may be different on other days but that was just my experience. read more

Customer service is nice on certain days. Some employees are very nice and some are not too friendly. Some items are also overpriced but they do have a nice selection of office and home necessities. read more

I heard things were slower in the south and this place really demonstrated that. We stood at the counter for a good 20 minutes before anyone helped us. I just wanted to print something from my webmail, but they only take files on a USB drive. I wasted another 15 minutes before the guy behind the counter admitted he didn't know how to get the PDF from my email onto his computer to print it. Only to realize there's an actual FedEx copy center practically within spitting distance. read more

Stopped here yesterday to ask a quote for printing a booklet. the dude at the Printing Services desk was not even listening to me and gave me a quote for color photocopies and other stuff that I was not asking for. He kept on listening to music in his earphones and did not even try to look at the file I needed to print (I had my USB device with me). No problem.I left and went all the way to Office Depot (read my review). Same company, way much better service. I hope the store managers of this location of Office Max will read this and take action because I am a client and they are losing a lot of business from my side. read more

I would rate officemax/officedepot with NO STARS if I could. While this review is not about any specific brick and mortar Officemax/Officedepot as we order our business products online for delivery, I am writing this as the delivery service is negligent and Officemax/Officedepot refuse to do anything about it. The deliveryman backed into our driveway which is etched and coated when he was told not to and spun the tires while backing up. In doing so he laid down a patch of rubber and damaged the driveway coating to the tune of $100 to repair. (I guess just too lazy to use a dolly to move the items into the garage.) Over the course of probably 5 months Officemax/Officedepot has been non-responsive. Our last suggestion to them a week ago was to give us a $100 credit to our next business supply order. NO RESPONSE YET AGAIN. They are not a honest-dealing firm. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. read more
