The residential dumpster service is substandard. Live in a condo community and recently the driver started picking up at 630am and the back up truck alarm wakes up the whole community. Apparently this company is not abiding by the noise ordinance in Pinellas county or unincorporated (Palm harbor). Nor do they care whom they are disturbing. This review is for Hernando County not Pinellas, but it's the same company. Coastal started their service in this area for the first time yesterday after taking over from Republic. I wasn't thrilled with Republic so I was looking forward to the change. They picked up the rubbish bins across the street yesterday but never returned to do the other side of the street! All the bins on this side of the street are still sitting out there in the hot sun. I asked my neighbor and he said he didn't pay a dime or call them- they just took it. They left my 5 bags of garbage in the grass and also my other neighbors! Very frustrated. Received excellent customer service over the phone to schedule removal of a couch but was not taken twice despite calling in and being confirmed. Now I've had a couch just sitting at the curb for almost 2 weeks getting rained on. I'm at a loss of what to do. This is part of my trash collection and fees I pay, money is tight and figuring out an alternative it is over my budget and hard to find any way. Back again to say Coastal Waste has not improved. Was skipped again yesterday, called the office and was assured someone would be back around. Of course that never happened, and the driver falsely reported that he did come back. I signed up for service 3 weeks ago. Last week my garbage was not picked up I had to call and remind them. This week my garbage also didn't get picked up and I called and they insisted they would pick it up and it's still not picked up and now it's the weekend and my garbage is piling up. if i could choose 0 stars it exactly grades this company raised my rate from 90$ every three months to 156$ and i ofcourse called because my billed came (past due ) as if its my fault they sent it late to hussle me into paying asap i called and customer service lady just simply told me its across the board all companies are doing it pure lie and she said she could bring it down to 120$ i agree next month i get the bill its back at 156$ again lol good thing i sold my house and no longer see their late inconsistent trucks that picked up trash and recycle twice a month rather every week steer clear from these hustlers from south florida unless you want your drive way smelling like decaying trash. read more
