I cannot say it off about this company! They installed a brand new system in my home and were at least 30 to 35% less than any of the other quotes. They are also preferred American standard dealers so that also helps on the price and service. They personally back up their units with a free maintenance program. Our install only took about three hours and the gentleman were super professional! They cleaned up after themselves, and thoroughly explained the new system after installation. It was obvious after dealing with my last company, that they take the time and walk you through the quote, how to service, etc Their owner is involved in active in the business every day which really matters! I hired JenEnergy air services to install a new AC/heat pump. I began to have issues with the unit shutting down within a short period. I called them to check it and they told me it was due to bacterial buildup and that I now needed a UV light installed for an extra $1,500. I continued to have issues. I spoke to a representative for UV lights. He explained, it was installed incorrectly. I began to have moisture building up daily. I now need to run a dehumidifier constantly. We are also experiencing breathing issues. The unit shutting down is an on going issue. Their answer to that is to shut it down for a while and reboot it. I finally called four other HVAC companies to assess the problem To be told they installed a 4-ton , single cycle with an electric airstrip heat system, (not the heat pump I ordered), in a 1,250 sq. ft apartment. A unit that size will not run efficiently; it will short cycle causing moisture and bacteria to form. What should have been installed was a 2.5 ton AC. Jen came out and agreed that the unit was too large and the UV lights were installed incorrectly. She agreed there was now a bacterial issue in the vents. Her solution was to sell me a whole new system. New systems cost between $12,000 and $15,000. She would discount a new system by $1,500 for my trouble. On a AC that lifes expectancy is 15/20 years. I didn't feel that offer would make me whole and was willing to negotiate with her. Since then she will not answer my letter, emails, or except any phone calls from me. Mary M. read more

Energy installed our AC system a few years ago. The unit is not maintaining temperature in the recent extreme heat. We only called JENERGY because its still under limited warranty. They came out and identified three minor issues that I know are not the problem because those issues have existed for years. They provided a quote for $300 to clean coils that are readily accessible and not dirty. They wanted another $300 to seal a plenum that is readily accessible and obviously not the problem based on the temperature measurements there. They quoted $175 to clean the drain line that was obviously not blocked because the unit was not shutting off and you can see water coming out. And they charged $98 for the diagnostic visit. I fixed those issues myself for the price of duct tape, spray coil cleaner and 30 minutes of my time but it did not solve the primary problem as I knew it wouldn't. They won't accept that the issues they identified are fixed because they didn't do the work themselves. So I have to spend $850 before they'll even look at the system again and I'm out the $98 regardless. I called another company who spent two hours diagnosing yet didn't charge me anything because they couldn't find the problem (note it wasn't coils, drains or drafty plenum). read more

For several years I have had an HVAC maintenance contract with JENERGYAIR for preventive maintenance every six months. Six months ago, the JENERGYAIR maintenance man showed me a photo on his phone that he said was my drain pan and it was completely rusted. I asked for an estimate to replace the pan but JENERGYAIR never responded. Last week another maintenance man came from JENERGYAIR to perform maintenance and showed me a photo he had taken of my drain pan (remarkably similar to the one I was shown six months previously). Again, I asked for an estimate to replace the drain pan and was told that I needed to replace the entire system. I contacted my home warrantee company and they sent out a man from another HVAC company and was told I didn't need a new drain pan and he took a photo on his phone and showed me. The new photo was not at all similar to the ones shown me by two separate JENERGYAIR employees. I paid the $100 to the person sent out by my home warrantee company. I now have peace of mind that the HVAC drain pan will not be leaking on to my ceiling. I am out $100 and will no longer be doing any business with JENERGYAIR. read more

We have called this company twice, the first time we had to chase them up for the quote days after it was promised. This time we were given a 2 hour scheduled window for them to show up and nobody came. When calling, they apologized and said they had forgotten to put us on the schedule. We then received a follow up text with a different story (now saying they didn't receive my confirmation text for the appointment window time, when they'd already said on the phone they had just forgotten to add us to the schedule). Just spoke with Rick's ac out of Tampa. They are coming to my home tomorrow morning to see what is wrong with the Jenergy air services product/installation. Now that is customer service folks for another ac service to come and offer a hand when the original under warranty not happy customer since day 1 and been in contact with the company. Left messages with the owner, whom still hasn't contacted us yet. But if anything good comes out at least I will have Rick's ac be on hand to put another one in when I send a demand letter for jenergy to get their product out of my home. The service call was great - on time, professional, courteous. They "fixed" our AC for thousands of dollars, it still does not work to this day, it is the middle of an intense Florida heat and my family is unable to live in our own house. They blamed us for turning the air down too low, or knowing that the unit was old, but that didn't stop them from charging us an arm and a leg for "bandaids" (which they didn't call bandaids at the time). We are going on three weeks with no air. My family does not have the money to continue this, and they know this and choose to continue to get money from us. After receiving a few quotes from other A/C companies, we decided on Jenergy Air Services for several reasons. Reason #1: Joel and his wife Jen are SUPER friendly and easy to talk with. Jen is high on life & you can tell she loves what she does. Joel is the mastermind who designed and implemented a whole makeover to our dated A/C (17 years old), HVAC, vents, and ductwork (think 1968 old). He's very detailed & absolutely won't leave your home until everything is working perfectly. Reason #2: Their estimate for the job was reasonably priced & similar to other companies in the area. Reason #3: They area a small local company with many years under their belts. Although the company is still relatively new, they were born to be A/C experts. Joel is probably the most educated A/C guy we know! The job took a little longer than estimated, but we did have cold air by the end of day 2. We also had a worker's knee go through our ceiling (previous water damaged spot) & a phone fall behind our wall warranting a hole be cut out to retrieve it. They quickly contacted a drywall specialist to come & access. Drywall was completed within a week & they even had the specialist cover up an extra vent that we no longer needed in the ceiling. Another point I'd like to state is that everyone on the job site was very pleasant to be around. We have a toddler just learning to copy words and sometimes contractors can have a mouth on them. These guys are top notch. No foul language. Very professional. About a week after installation, we received a nice folder in the mail containing our install invoice, system registration, their "Cool Club" membership information, business card, magnet, and welcome letter. Their marketing material is top notch cool. Even Joel's YouTube channel is entertaining, haha! Holy SMOKES! Literally. My fiancé and I have been attempting to avoid our home during quarantine because our AC was reading between 84-92 degrees. We had been putting off repairs due to financial uncertainty, but realized this had to be a priority. After returning home from walking our dog, our unit was reading 92 degrees and it was cooler outside than in our home & my fiance had resorted to sleeping in the living room (BY HIMSELF) on an air mattress in attempt to remain cooler. We realized it was time to make the call. We did a little research and found Jenergy! They scheduled an appt for 2 days later, which was okay with us considering we knew their was an end in sight. The technician, Richard, came to our house promptly at the time he told us and spent a significant amount of time trying to determine the problem. After determining what was wrong with our unit and consulting with us on price, he proceeded to properly fix the unit. He spent a decent amount of time cleaning up the unit, putting frion into it, and most importantly CLEANING UP THE DEBRIS (my fiancé literally has said multiple times how impressed he is that he swept). Jenergy spends a lot of money on advertising. It is advertising that makes you believe they are a great, customer focused company. It is advertising that drove me to call them to get an estimate on a new HVAC unit. Fellow comes out. He spends an hour getting all the information needed to provide a quote. He leaves and tells me that I will get the quote in email withiN tHe next day or two. But, no quote. Nothing. I send email follow ups and what do I get in response? I get quotes for someone else's home sent to me. I tell Jenergy about tHe mixup and what do I get? More quotes for this other guy's home. It gets so bad that this other customer ends up mailing me thinking I work for Jenergy. Good grief! read more

We had a new air handler and unit installed November of 2020. Ever since it was installed that AC has been making odd sounds. We called jenergy out to have it evaluated and to confirm it was not anything thing to be concerned over, which they told us it wasn't. Also we have kept up with the annual maintenance requirements. Last night the AC unit outside started making a loud sound, so we turn it off. When we started it again, the air handler was making a louder noise than ever before and stopped working. Ac is now broken. The tech who came to my house the next day was Tony. He came in and immediately checked to see if it was frozen. After realizing it wasn't frozen, he tried turning on the AC and said he didn't hear the fan kick on. So he proceeded to take off the side panel, and he tried spinning the fan with his finger to see if that would get it to go. Then told us we need a new motor. After asking who would install the new motor he stated "probably me", and then we asked when it would be fixed and he proceeded to tell me "I'm just a little peon" and we owe him $89!! He left without providing a time frame on when it would be fixed, or how much it would cost.When we decided on purchasing a new airhandler and ac unit, it wasn't because our old one didn't work. We purchased a new one because we knew the old one was probably getting ready to breakdown and we didn't want to be without AC in florida heat. Now, 2 yrs after purchasing everything new, we are left with a broken AC and hot house. VERY DISSAPOINTED. I had to call the office to find the details of what to do next since Tony the self-proclaimed "little peon" couldn't. However, he did come back after I called and said it would not be fixed until MONDAY! It's Thursday now and broke yesterday, which means we will have to go without AC for FIVE DAYS because of the logistics behind how Jenergy gets their parts. I do NOT recommend this company at all. If you have problems or concerns with equipment installed they will tell you what you want to hear until it stops working and can no longer lie about what the issue is. I believe the sounds we heard from the time it was installed, until now is linked to why my new unit is broken. What is the point of having a technician come out to someone's house if they can't actually fix the unit?I understand these things happen, so why doesn't Jenergry have parts on hand to fix things? Tony has been out to my house 3 times in the past and everytime has been uninformative and iunable to actually fix ANY problem or address ANY concern whatsoever. I do not feel he genuinely cares as Jenergy states they do, and he just wants to find the easy way out and get paid. 5 DAYS to fix? Seriously?! Never been so let down by a company. This past Memorial day weekend (on Sunday no less) my a/c unit decided to quit working. I called Jenergy main phone number and left a voice mail. The previous owner of our house chain-smoked inside, so we were in dire need of a duct cleaning. As renters, it was difficult to find a company that would work with us, but that wasn't a problem for Jenergy. I called to book the service on a Wednesday and they came out that Saturday. Super disappointed in Jenergy Air Services. Will not recommend or use in the future. They serviced my unit Friday morning. This was a routine service call as I was not experiencing any issues. Technician recommended cleaning the blower fan for the health of my unit. Air handler was in garage, not attic. I approved. Work was done within an hour. Technician nice but not wearing mask. Sunday morning, I was awoken by electrical burning smell coming through my vents along with hot air. Called their office number immediately and left urgent message. Called owner's cell phone number (was given to me by person that referred me due to urgency, i.e. electrical burning smell) and no answer so I left her an urgent message as well. I left 2 urgent messages Sunday morning and no one has yet to return my call and it is now Monday 12 noon. No one checks their messages on the weekend? and no emergency referrals are given on their recorded office message to back their work? No concern, no call back! If it is the weekend or after office hours, you are SOL....even though they serviced my unit 2 days prior!!! and I had no issues before!!! By the afternoon when I realized the owner was ignoring my calls, and the house was getting unbearable, I had to call another AC service company to fix the problem which was a blower fan relay switch. Under the circumstances, this should have been addressed by Jenergy. I later found out that owner does not like to be bothered on the weekends and that is why she didn't return my call. Horrible customer service, especially from the owner of the company! Update: 3pm Monday and still no call back! BEYOND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER BEWARE! It is now Wednesday and Jenergy Air still hasn't called (not that I thought they would at this point). Very unprofessional! read more

We are snowbirds. That being said we do try to do all the appropriate maintenance on our systems in our condo. We had Jenergy come out as we do every year, they said that our refrigerant in our system was contained in a very rusty container and probably should be replaced, but there was significant rust on the roof unit and maybe we would be better off to consider a complete replacement since the unit was now 10 years old. Jen was at the house in the afternoon and went through all the options and was able to have the replacement scheduled for the next day. The people that did the install were friendly, knowledgeable and very competent. All in all the unit and air handler were replaced in about 5 hours including the crane to put the unit on the roof. Very pleased both with the pricing, the warranty and the workmanship. Everything was cleaned up and looked as it had before work began. They were great with our two cats as well! read more

If you want someone to fix your AC problem - and not quit until it's right, call Jenergy Air Services. With the temperature rising in my house, though it sounded like the AC was working - I called them. They were able to get someone here in the late afternoon. Micah checked everything he could think of- checking the outside unit, the thermostat - and then checking the unit in the attic space - where he discovered that the unit had frozen up. Apparently, there was a low amount of freon in it, which caused it to freeze up, and the ice has to totally thaw out before more freon can be added. Soooo, though it was rather warm in my house for the night, Micah returned very early the next morning. He re-checked everything to make sure there was nothing else wrong - re-charged the freon, and all is cool now! They don't quit till they get it right. I like that! read more

Be careful if you select this company. We had a tech out, who did a summer maintenance and took a look at two leaks we had in duct work. He explained the repair necessary and advised that a different crew would complete it. Shortly after he left, the office sent us a quote to complete the repair and WE SIGNED IT. The following week I called to schedule the repair only to be told the tech no longer works for the company and they need to figure out when they can get a crew out. I was assured it would be by Friday. Friday came and went. When I called early the next week they now needed to send a new tech out to figure out exactly what needs done (even though they quoted the work already). I asked if the new tech would come with materials to make duct repairs and was assured that he would. New tech came out today, likable guy but he did not have the materials to complete the repair. He took a look and described the work they need to do, the crew that would come out (even mentioned the smaller guy that would be the one up in the attic while the other guy fed him the materials) and told us which stuff we would need to move out of closet to give him access. Just talked with the office only to be informed that they do not make those kind of repairs and would only be willing to replace the full system of duct work. Neither tech, nor the office staff before today said anything about not be willing to complete the repairs. They have wasted our time and have not held up their end of their quote.
