According to the historical marker, this farm was founded in 1808 by Matthias Lane, who served in American Revolution as a New Jersey Dragoon. It has been a farm every since, and the Chase-Flack cobblestone farmhouse (not open to the public) was a stop on the underground railroad. It's still an operating farm, and you can buy fresh produce at the market that is right on NY 18. My visit was in October, so the choices included fresh corn, Indian corn, pumpkins of all sizes, decorative gourds, hay, eggs, cut wood, decorative items and gift items. Give them a try! read more
