I can't express how nice the people are here. They are more than accommodating. The lady spent at least 30 minutes explaining everything and giving me fun ideas for my two year old. Great customer service!!!! The hotel is beautiful. Definitely get the suite. It is a $10 difference and awesome. It is like a small one bedroom apartment. It includes full size fridge, dishwasher, and comes with kitchen gear. The hotel is really clean and was practically empty! The allow dogs so your fur babies can come too! It is a $15 charge per dog up to two. They have to be under 30 lbs. I can't say enough nice things about the hotel staff. If you need to stay in Holyoke you have to stay here!!!!!

There is a $25 dog fee, despite their advertising on HotelTonight app that there is none. Liars.

Nice place, way more than I expected driving into this creepy town at night. I was charged $25 for my dog even though the HotelTonight app (from which I booked the room) description said "Dogs OK, no fee." Had I known there was a fee I may have chosen a hotel nearer the freeway. Anyway, after driving 18 hours today, I'm tired. Breakfast better be decent tomorrow.

I am not kidding you when I say this is my favorite B&B in the country -- the best I've ever been…read moreto! Once upon a time I was in graduate school and doing a lot of work out in western Nebraska -- Imperial especially. On my first trip out, following the habits of my research group, I went to make a reservation at the motel in town, which was full and whose staff recommended I check the Balcony House. I am eternally grateful. My entire research group's enthusiasm for traveling to Imperial improved after this event. Jim and Linda are fantastic hosts. Their home is unbelievably charming and well cared for. I've stayed with them probably a half-dozen or more times (I think I've slept in every room), and each time I am in awe of their business. Fresh coffee and cookies, always. Linda is the most exceptional cook, whose meals make my mouth water thinking of them now. One time I was there, Linda had injured wrists, and Jim was in charge of breakfasts. Those were outstanding too -- though he quickly admitted that if you stayed longer than three days, you'd start getting repeats. There was one time that I was coming to Imperial and they were FULL (stupid hunting season!). I had to stay at that motel after all, even after vowing I never would. You know what Jim and Linda said? They told me to COME OVER FOR BREAKFAST anyway, even though I would be staying at the motel. They are the salt of the earth. I am so very fortunate to have gotten to know them over the years. p.s. If you're in town for a lunch, I *love* M&M's Natural Jazz. The Reubens (regular and turkey) are spectacular. If you're gluten-free, they got you covered. Imperial is a special place. I wish I still had excuses to visit regularly.

Balcony House is a little touch of home along the way west. The owners make you feel right at home and the breakfast is Great. We will always make this a stop on our way to Colorado.
