This was an impressive get away all in all, and I absolutely would recommend it to anyone. I wpuld definitely return! The cabin we stayed in was Dogwood, two person cabin. Pro The cabin itself was very easy to get to, the roads are well maintained and clean. Convenient parking that was very close to the entrance, which is nice if you got lots of stuff or have someone who can not go too far. The cabin itself was definitelg cozy and inviting. Most importantly it appeared to be well taken care of and cleaned properly. The cabin had the modern amenities of a roku tv, fancy stove and full size fridge. It is also equiped with dishes and some basic cooking ware which was a nice touch. And an electric fire place. There are even electrical outlets next to the bed with usb outlets!! The bathroom is wonderful. A 2 persons hot tub with a walk in shower. Provided towels, soap, shampoo, make up removal towels aaaand a small container of lavendar bubble bath. CON It was situated not as far into the woods like we thought (so if you are looking for way deep woods cabin away from society this may not be what you are looking for)but it was very easy to get to and the other cabins are far enough that it was still very quite for us on this trip.

    Beautiful Hot tub area

We stayed in the Red Fern Cabin, earlier this year. Very nice cabin rental - comfortable and very clean. Beautiful inside and everything is in great condition - the only complaint is there was not a working bedside light in the main floor bedroom. We had to use the bright overhead light or nothing. (not a deal breaker though...) The décor is amazing and the cabin provides plenty to do without having to leave. There is a beautiful fireplace and cozy rustic furniture with a big screen TV - (if you like to watch TV while on vacation...), a full-size pool table, foosball table, and an "old-school" video game with multiple games - inside. Outside there is a beautiful private hot-tub next to a great patio with a fire pit. Awesome place! The bathrooms are very - very nice! Both are stocked with towels and complimentary toiletries. One has a beautiful garden tub and separate shower, and a huge sink area with very unique rustic counter space and a very cool carved rock basin. The other bathroom is also very cool with its wine barrel doorway and pebble floor shower, and copper sink! The kitchen is amazing - lots of counter space to work, full size refrigerator/freezer, Full-size electric stove & oven, beautiful huge window above the sink with a motorized blind. A fabulous little side porch off the kitchen that shelters you from the weather, but allows you to be outside. A parking area right outside the main door of the cabin, that is secure and private to this cabin. Although this place is 5 star worthy - I had to take away a star because they boast a "full kitchen", but fail to note that there is only 1 rack inside the oven - which made it difficult to manage a full meal, the pots & pans situation leaves a lot to be desired, there is no dishpan, and only 1 dishtowel & dish rag. Be sure to bring these items to make your stay much for comfortable and easy. However, it's such a nice place, we plan to visit again in 2018 - but will bring more kitchen stuff with us next time!

We stayed in the Water Lily cabin. There were 3 of us, lifelong friends since junior high school. This cabin has the main floor, a loft, and a full sized basement, so we each had our own floor! The cabin was very clean, lots of towels and toiletries, kitchen consists of one wall of cabinets and fridge, and a HUGE center island with stove. The utensils, pots/pans were minimal, but we had no plans to do any cooking anyway! The view from the floor to ceiling windows off the kitchen was beautiful. Parking spaces put us about 15 feet to the front door. Bathrooms were great, except for the sink in the main floor bathroom. It is one of those funky shaped sinks, and there is not enough room to get your hands under the spigot so you end up splashing water everywhere. Negatives: It would be helpful to have instructions on how to get all the tv's to work. Never could get the basement tv to work. In the loft there were no electrical outlets that we could find. The nightstand, although unique, had very little surface area. There was no lamp of course, as there were no outlets. It may be some type of fire code not to have outlets there, not sure. We killed several flies, every time we would kill one, one came to take it's place. This would not deter us from staying here again, fly-swatter furnished! Funny side-note: driving home, we were about an hour into our trip, when a fly made his presence known on my driver's side window! Managed to evict him at a rest stop! Personally, I found the bed in the loft to be too firm, but I like soft mattresses. We would stay here again!

High ceilings and gas fireplace help make this a standout.

If your looking to eat shop and be around amish forget Millersburg and head to Berlin…read more This hotel is ideally located seems everything we wanted to see or do was within a mile. I stayed at a Comfort Inn in Michigan that needed a lot of renovation it was in Paw Paw Michigan. I brought my mom here and to be frank ... i was dreeding it. Thought id be bored out of my mind. But we had a lovely weekend. I had as good a time as she did and bought more. Really pleased with this hotel!!!This one either looks new or newly renovated it's really nice. Got a two queen bed Suite with a couch there's no dividing door between the couch area and the bedroom. The breakfast was a lot better than the one in Michigan to. Highly recommend this hotel for the price.our room had shower and we prefer a tub ... dont know if that is even an option. Our room was 320 .. on the top floor .. very clean, quiet and comfortable beds. Ac would get cool enough for my old lady hot flashes. Room had small fridge and microwave...plus all the usual. Bathroom toiletries seemed on the smaller side but that was no tragedy. When we return we will stay in Berlin and this hotel. There are several small towns .. seems the furthest is 20 minutes away. There is a bit of traffic ..weekends being more crowded. Alot is closed on sundays!

CHECK FOR BED BUGS!!!…read more Updated 8/31/26: The Owner/GM (Kent) contacted me regarding my recent interaction and post below. He was very pleasant to speak with and demonstrated a genuine care for customer experiences. He apologized for not being on site to address the situation personally and assured me that my concerns have been professionally addressed. I appreciate his response and hope this ensures a better experience for future customers. 08/28/26 We come here every year and normally stay at the Berlin Encore or IHG in Millersburg. But this year, we wanted to change things up and stay in town for convenience and to be within walking distance. I had reserved 3 rooms (Assigned 324-326-328), all with double queen beds, at this property. After traveling two weeks prior and encountering a recent scare with the not-so-wanted hitchhikers from another "CHOICE HOTEL " property, I came packing bed bug spray and a blue light... Upon inspection of the two connected rooms (326-328), I found bed bugs between the mattress and the headboard frame, as well as skeletons of those that were once in both rooms. Dead or not, it is evident they once occupied these rooms, and the rooms were not treated properly. Pictures were taken, and the front desk and staff members visiting the rooms were notified immediately. We immediately removed all our belongings (sick to our stomachs) to only encounter roughly 1.5 hrs from the front desk not knowing how to handle this situation without speaking to the guest service manager, who had left the property. They did offer to move us to other rooms, but during a family meeting, trying to regroup after all of us had traveled 3+ hours, the family consensus was not to take the chance and stay at this property. So we determined it was in our best interest to leave the premises, which we did. The manager did offer to find us other accommodations at neighboring Choice Hotels, which we declined. We ended up at the IHG property in Millersburg, which was a night-and-day difference in the bed inspection. NO bed bugs or remnants found.... While I know that, since we travel extensively and in prior hospitality, bed bugs are common in ALL hotel chains, even 5-star top $$ resorts, it can happen... but trust me, they won't be catching a ride home with me!! We are well-seasoned travelers and have been all over the world, and for this to be our 1st actual, evident encounter in 30+ years, I must say, it is pretty traumatizing. WE WILL NOT UTILIZE ANY CHOICE HOTELS MOVING FORWARD... Unfortunately, this is a warning to all booking at this property. You either take the chance and inspect EVERYTHING... and don't rely solely on this hotel's rating, which is what I did when booking. Reviews were great.....but I'm sure those who posted did not do their due diligence, and I pray they did not go home with unwanted guests. We were fortunate to find another hotel with availability for our group size... as we come to this area yearly, when all hotels are typically sold out. I strongly recommend not staying at this hotel for a few months from this posting to ensure that management takes the proper precautions to prevent those unwanted hitchhikers from going home with you. Hotel Management has the same photos that I am sharing. While this hotel may seem perfect for its location and top reviews, there is no convenience or a price tag on unwanted hitchhikers.... THINK TWICE B4 STAYING HERE!
