I appreciated the thoughtfulness to every detail in the space they brought to the job, having entire conversations about perfect hardware and over-sink lighting. My partner and I were very involved in the process and they knew how to balance that out with thoughtful and polite input on our choices (even when they disagreed), but I would imagine they also work well with people who have less opinions overall (i.e., more easy going). Not only was the design process and material selection pretty much seamless, we ended up going with a great contractor that they had worked with previously and it made our lives easier to know they were in regular communication with both him and us so everyone was always on the same page. I know this is not typical, but there was an issue with the cabinet supplier right before our project was slated to start and we were so grateful that literally everything was handled by Aidan (including ensuring our contractor could adjust the start date) and we didn't have to do any last-minute scrambling ourselves. But in the end I realized that Chris had it right from the beginning. My living room and dining room space look distinctive and high style. His firm designed and manufactured customized leather love seats for my undersized living room. The love seats are gorgeous and so high quality. They were expensive but worth every single penny. There were some glitches in the project. I felt that the firm could be more transparent about the cost of ordering items through them versus ordering them yourself. It will save time and grief to order through them but it will cost you more money upfront. This cost is totally worth the convenience and, in retrospect, I would have paid it. But for cost conscious clients the firm should be upfront about that additional cost. Overall, I LOVE the design Zoltan executed for my project. I would use the firm again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for design on the cheap, Zoltan is def not for you. For distinctive, high quality design, Zoltan is an amazing partner for your project.

I sent photos to the office, but they denied that their technician removed them and simply suggested that I buy replacement bulbs because they are inexpensive. The cost of the bulbs is not the issue. The bulbs were working before the visit, and now the fixtures are left without bulbs. I am disappointed that no explanation was provided and no responsibility was taken.

I switched to Aqua Bright from Nature Unlimited several years ago. It was a mistake. This week they…read morenotified me they were on their way to my house, and it was a day EARLIER than they were scheduled to come, so we were out of town -- and it was a big digging job that you don't let someone do when you're not home. In addition, the tech we reached in the truck on the phone heading to my house on the wrong day did not seem to know why they were going to my house. (Aqua Bright didn't apologize about the wrong date when shown the original email with the original date--sent by them!--instead repeatedly calling it a "miscommunication," and claiming that they had sent updates using the incorrect date and so I guess expected me to pivot to the wrong date. I guess the idea is that by compounding their error it was my job to notice their. Instead of making it right, they offered a new date in almost 3 weeks, when I am out of town for work and at a time that is far too late for my new plants to survive. And this mess of an appointment was a reschedule from an earlier appointment, when the tech (who is himself a competent and kind technician) also didn't know what he was being sent for, so it was a total waste of a visit, made especially frustrating AFTER having spent a week or so finding a date when the landscape service and the irrigation tech could both be on site at the same time.

At that time, I was very pleased with their work - so much so, I referred 3 family members and another friend - all of which also paid thousands of dollars to Dream House for various purchases. Two years ago, I reached out to Wendy again - this time for help when I purchased a second home in Florida. I spent $6,500K with Dream House on curtain rods, finials, rings, etc. and it ended up being an absolute fiasco. When the installer (whom I hired privately in Florida) arrived, he said the drapes could not be hung with these curtain rods because the drapes were too heavy. When I reached out to Wendy and Cassie, I learned they were both on vacation together in Spain. Wendy's response from Spain: "...how were we to know they were super heavy? We ordered rods for regular draperies." This response is from a woman who has 44 years of design experience? -- i.e. Wouldn't you inquire about the drapery fabric before ordering the rods and/or let a client know the limitations of the rods when selecting drape fabric? The drape installer left after I received this text from Wendy in Spain, "...I understand how you feel, but I worked very, very hard on this for you...spent hours on this. I've used all these rods before..I have never had an issue. At this point I'm on vacation and would rather not have to take care of this right now." Though Wendy admitted later that she should have never taken on my design project (true!), they only refunded me $1,100 for curtain rod hardware that I returned to them - indicating to me that the curtain rod company would not allow anything else to be returned since is it was custom ordered, and I also had to pay a 20% restocking fee. Disgusted, I asked Cassie to mail the $1,100 check to my Maryland address; instead she mailed it to my Florida home. When I requested that Cassie re-send the check to me at my Maryland home as requested, she told me she could only do this if I paid a $40 check stop payment fee. The moral of my story: Buyer beware! If you run into any issues, be assured from my experience that neither Wendy nor Cassie will take ANY ownership of the problem. Beyond a frustrating and disappointing experience from a once very loyal customer. My only solace is that I have repeated my horrible experience to many friends and family who will also never shop at Dream House again.

Mostly it is filled with oversized furniture which is a modern but comfortable take on higher end pieces. Me and my friend went to the back and sat on these amazing chairs that were electronically reclining. Cause I don't want to have to push with my back on the hair to make it recline. What am? An animal?! The woman who was very pleasant told us that the chairs could come in one of like 50 different fabrics and leathers. I sat on another couch before I left which was very comfortable. If I had a larger house, I would definitely stop by this store. I do like a lot of the patterns on the furniture. The customer service was great! I like the customizability! I do remember the prices were a little on the higher side, but probably level with other stores like it in the area. Also... I'm gonna be honest, I don't have the best gauge on furniture prices. I don't go furniture shopping that often, and when I do it's for vintage furniture. I wouldn't hesitate to stop back into the store to see the new things they have in stock.

The blinds are great for privacy since we are able to have the bottom portion of our windows blocked with the light coming in at the top. Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.
