I was not told that I ordered a item not stocked and now we still haven't received it and is costing our project significant delays since we can't pass inspection without this item so construction has been stopped. I've called my rep Valerie multiple times and left voicemails and also called the store directly. No one answered or returned my calls any of the times. (They are not eager to respond to emails either.) Horrible customer service. Our contractor recommended this place and he is very disappointed now too. I do NOT recommend.

We are building a home remotely in the mountains of North Carolina, but are fortunate enough to live close to Dominion. It is certainly overwhelming to consider the scope and scale of a new build, and to think about what you would like the lighting to look like and how you would like it to function when the space doesn't even exist. We had the absolute best time working with Josh. First, he helped us hone our aesthetic vision, and to build cohesion into the lighting design. He also helped us wrestle with the technical challenges of recessed lighting in high slope ceilings. Through the entire process, he gave us the confidence we needed to easily make decisions and to put the vision into action for our home. Throughout the entire process, Josh was highly responsive, he communicated with clarity, and he had a fantastic sense of humor, challenging each of us appropriately when we were stuck in some kind of rut. His efficiency is remarkable and his design eye and skill is obvious. On top of all of this, he produced documentation that clearly conveyed the plan to our electrician, making our recent electrical walkthrough the best one he had ever been on. The electrician told us that most of the time people arrive with little to no clue of what they want, and it is a laborious, frustrating and overwhelming process. We arrived with our Josh plans and knew exactly where things were going to be and what they would look like. We are very excited to see this house come into reality. We know the lighting we selected will bring warmth and beauty to to spaces, both interior and exterior, and we feel that Dominon and Josh provided great value to us and our project.

They somehow turned what is typically a very stressful process into a smooth and collaborative one. We interviewed nine contractors before choosing Talon for a full gut renovation of our home. Talon stood out immediately as the most professional and detail-oriented team we met. We first connected with Darren in 2023, and his depth of knowledge was apparent from the beginning. He pointed out practical design considerations and code requirements that other contractors had missed. We went back and forth on the scope for over a year, and he was consistently patient, responsive, and generous with his time. He never rushed us and always made himself available to answer questions. We started construction in August 2025-- The construction crew had an excellent work ethic. They arrived early and worked hard - something even our neighbors commented on. They took pride in their work and paid close attention to details. The workmanship was just excellent. The work site was consistently clean and organized. They did a great job at handling unexpected situations and communicating that to me. Eddie took the time to explain everything thoroughly before moving forward. Even when we made scope changes, they were flexible and incorporated those changes without making it feel stressful or complicated. And probably the thing that impressed me the most was that they ran the whole project with integrity. They uncovered an improperly vented dryer which was a fire hazard and promptly brought it up to code. There were other moments like this throughout the project- too many to fully capture here - that consistently reinforced how much they value doing things the right way. I have to mention Eddie who was incredible throughout the entire process. He was calm, responsive and communicated clearly. He seriously made the entire project enjoyable. They were fair and transparent when it came to pricing and change orders. But more than anything, what I appreciated the most was their integrity, professionalism and genuinely caring about doing a good job. The crews are respectful, care about your home and the outcome of the job, paying attention to every detail. All projects have issues and when they happen, the crews and back office work professionally to determine the best path forward for everyone involved (not just the company).
