He mentioned that he was aware of how many people use scare tactics to charge unnecessary services. They don't operate like that. They've been in the business a very long time and know their business. The owner and his son were extremely professional and walked me through the entire process. I even added their annual service which is pet friendly and if I have any issues after my annual treatment, they take care of it at no charge. That's a fantastic deal! It's sad that they use these poisons when there is just as effective alternatives available. Just last year, the local city of Saint Petersburg, Florida switched from this garbage to a safer alternative. You may ask why is this allowed? "Corporate science," is the answer. Our first encounter was seeing fairly large bugs running across the floor. My wife screamed and said "WE'RE OUT OF HERE!". I quickly call my friend who lives in the same park and he suggested to call Dave Sr. owner of "Bug Out" and gave me the number. I called and explained the problem and he immediately came out and identified them as Palmetto Bugs and quickly treated our house. He said it might take a few days but if we continued to see them call and he would come right back. My wife insisted that after one days she saw another. So to keep her happy I called and he came right back out and did another treatment. Then they were all gone and have been ever since. Recently we encounter very tiny bugs on the counter top so we called "Bug Out" and they came right out. Dave identified these as German Cockroaches and explained their origin and reproductive habits. Also they might have been brought in on some of the leafy vegetable we bought. Anyways he treated and baited with precision and now they are all gone. I don't normally write reviews but after recently receiving a flyer from a Big Brand Name bug company franchise operator making goofy statements about their service it inspired me to do so. Remember, anyone can buy a franchise if they have the money whether they personally are any good or not. The name may have a reputation but the operator doesn't. Dave Sr. explained that "Bug Out" is a family owned and operated business. We have now been loyal customers for well over 10 years. They have constantly expanded over the years but still kept the personal family touch and always take the time to answer any questions we might have in full detail. I can not say enough good things about Dave Sr., his son Dave Jr. and their whole "Bug Out" team. They are truly knowledgeable professionals in every aspect. They cherish their family and business as well as all the customers they serve. So if you do not have them, YOU SHOULD! If I could give them a "10" star review I would but unfortunately the rating only goes to "5", so "5" IT IS FOR CERTAIN ! They treated my house for subterranean termites 3 years ago with Termidor and now, 3 years later I have termites again in the same spot which they said have been eating the new wood for at least 1 year. Their expert came out and said they needed to treat the area again with Termidor, but when I received the quote/ estimate it said they would treat my house with Trelona bait stations. I talked to the owner explaining the area was just treated 3 years ago and Cameron told me that should last for 15 years. But he said since I didn't maintain the warranty there was nothing he could do. The owner seemed very irritated when I asked a few tough questions; i.e. why didn't the treatment work 3 years ago and why do I have 2 different treatment recommendations from Cameron. Now I would have to pay again, for a different treatment, which costs the same as it did 3 years ago. After our conversation the owner sent me an email withdrawing their quote and said they were not interested in treating my house. Their business model seems to be to keep everyone paying the annual warranty or pay again for full treatment in a couple years.
