I feel this might be the only or rare chic restaurant of the town, so they play on that card, but when you have travelled or lived in big cities with amazing culinary experiences, this unfortunately does not make the cut.

Family stopped for one night on way to PEI.  We stayed in the main hotel in a renovated room…read more(requested this based on some of the reviews I read, and doesnt seem the bathroom was included in reno). I was happy with the room which was clean, the service, which was friendly, and the location which was walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and things to do. It did appear this hotel gets a lot of turnover and they seemed to handle the traffic well enough.  However, breakfast was nuts! A few hot options in addition to the 'continental' breakfast - it was a bit of a free for all, very busy, crowded, with the staff working hard to keep up (seemed that anybody off the street could walk in for breakfast if they wanted). We were here on Friday and it was loud outside, with a lot of muffler sounding cars and loud motorcycles revving their motors all night. Also, the pool was great for kids, but looked to be a bit neglected.

I spent last night at the Auberge Bouctouche Inn & Suites…read more The lobby was really cool! There was a smoking shed. Someone arrives twice a day and keeps the fire going in the shed to heat the inn (there are pipes underground that go under the parking lot and into the inn). Apparently it is really cost-efficient. The tub was deep and comfy. The bed was comfy. WIFI, parking and a continental breakfast (cereal and bread) were included in the cost of the room. My room had a microwave and a mini fridge. I would stay here again if I needed to spend a night again in Bouctouche.

A group of about 40, we booked the entire facility for a four day weekend…read more There were many bedrooms with two bunk beds in each as well as a large loft area for sleeping. On the main floor down a hallway there were eight bedrooms, a full accessible washroom and a washroom with two toilet stalls and two shower stalls. The rest of the rooms were upstairs. In total I believe there are 48 twin beds. There is a large main area for dining and otherwise hanging out. They will soon be getting air conditioning, rarely needed in the island. We made use of all fans available as it was unseasonably warm when we were there. We opted to make use of the large commercial kitchen. The centre is largely "cottage style", although linens and toiletries were left for us. Think simple, rustic. This is a gorgeous property overlooking the Northumberland Strait. A beautiful beach, campfire area and other outdoor space was available. There was quiet all around us, gorgeous views from trees to water to skies.

My group of 5 friends and I were in a real pinch at midnight unexpectedly trying to find a hotel…read more When I tell you that we called half a dozen or more hotels who all gave us crazy high prices (especially given the limited time we'd have the room), it's not an understatement. Several hotels lost loyal customers in us all that night, places we each said, "oh I know, let's call the (insert hotel chain name), I'm sure they'll be able to give us a reasonable rate." These places would rather leave a room empty and make $0 or completely scam us with a ridiculous high rate - there was no in between. Cue the Four Points and their night manager, Harvey, who not only was incredibly friendly answering the phone and hearing about our plight but took less than 10 seconds to tell us he would be happy to help us out. We got a super reasonable rate, nothing extreme (that was never our ask!) but certainly didn't leave us feeling gouged, and shared some laughs with us upon checkin. I'm telling you, when you're traveling in a city far from home and find yourself in a jam, it's people like Harvey that can make or break you. He made our night - THANK YOU, HARVEY (and Francis at the front desk)! In addition to the truly amazing staff, our room was spotless, we had extra towels, and the hotel was clean and offered up everything we needed. We will absolutely be customers for life!

But I noticed four things right away: only two stories. First floor had outside porches and accessible entries, impeccably clean, orderly grounds, and Casino right next door. (Quiet clean casino, wouldn't have known it was there unless I read the sign.) Stepped into lobby: as a retired nurse I saw an available wheelchair, wall mounted defibrillator AND Epi-Pen station. Well, right away, I knew my review would be Five-Stars. All the usual amenities of white, clean, orderly eating area for breakfast and carry-out delivery meal, microwave, etc. Afternoon tea available. Microwave. Refrigerator in room. Bed was perfect. Lovely soft white sheets and pillows. Clean comfy couch. Excellent TV. Dog friendly, I assume, as I saw a lady and her dog passing through the lobby from the ice machine. As a dog lover myself, and missing my 40-pound love bug terribly while on this tour, I was totally jealous of the lady with her "best friend." The bathroom......wow. Oversized white one-piece tub, extended shower curtain, easy to control knobs, soft, likely near new towels, bright white. One unfortunate--my room hair dryer didn't work...likely needed ground-fault reset but my fingers couldn't do it. But at 11p, I just didn't want to bother the front desk. Also, for some reason, the power must have gone out at 12:12 a because the radio/alarm clock was blinking this morning. USB plugs, good lighting. Lady at desk said a Dutch family owned this motel and her mother managed all five of them here. I asked at desk if they had postage stamps for sale. She said she'd been asked twice lately; likely she'll start stocking a few. Parking lot level, clean, easy. Big Oversized vehicles should park in casino lot, which maybe is 50 feet away, and just walk across the grass. But our Tour Director advised us that the Closest restaurant was in Casino. At a previous market stop that we might chose to bring my own sandwich, sodas and snacks and I had a nice TV dinner after a one hour twilight walk upon arrival at the motel. I live close to a Casino; no need to go to one here. Honestly, it was so quiet, I would never have known it was there. The entrance and the lighting must be to a different street entrance. If I come back, I'll stay here again. I felt right at home. Very, very comfortable. Not too big, not too small.....just right. And, next time, hopefully I'll have my pooch with me.

This isn't the fanciest hotel around by any means but the rooms are clean, new, beds are comfortable and the staff is absolutely amazing. During our four week stay we got to now them very very and at every instance they bent over backwards to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Wether you're looking for somewhere to have a meeting or just spend the night, this is a great place at a very reasonable price. Had they had a pool they would have received a 5 star rating but consider this 4 1/2 stars
