I recently stayed at this location…read more It is an older hotel (I believe it was previously called the Wharf Inn) but well kept. I was there the hotel was pretty much full and it was a bit noisy, but that can be expected in any hotel that it basically at capacity. My room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and the staff were attentive to any requests. The room came with a complimentary self-serve breakfast, complete with scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancakes. The pancakes were made by a pancake machine - so I had pancakes each morning as the machine was neat. It has a restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner, which has a patio overlooking the water. The view is beautiful It has a very small cardio room with 2 machines and a balance ball. It also has a small pool. I will stay here again when I am in the area. It was a good value for the money, I like having free breakfast, and it was very clean.

My elderly parents had trouble with the stairs, and with a full hotel, the staff not only got them a room on the ground floor, but also moved all their luggage. Thank you Howard Johnsons!

The small pool in the basement was very popular with the kids, despite the fact we spent all day at the beach, and the little game room adjacent was fairly popular with them as well (although there were some parts that were a bit worn). Excellent staff, including front desk staff tolerant of my bad French and willing to let me try it out but perfectly conversant in English. We can't recommend the restaurant, which was pricey and not particularly interesting and a bit slow, but there's a cafe-bistro style place on the main level which had limited fare but at quite decent prices. Excellent breakfast in a side room on the main floor, included. All in all, well-recommended.
Queens County Inn
We stayed here from from Aug. 5 to Aug. 8 and were terribly disappointed. The morning of the 6th,…read moreI got up, went to the washroom and there was water all over the floor. The toilet had been leaking all night and would not flush. Told my husband and he said he would have a shower and let the front desk know. He was in the shower about 2 minutes and NO HOT WATER! I called the front desk and explained our situation and said we were trying to get ready for a wedding that day, and that we needed another room immediately. The cleaning lady that works weekends was extremely kind to us and said that she had reported that Room 12 had these problems weeks prior to our arrival and should have never been rented out. We moved to Room 4. We moved all of our luggage (there was a lot) and the contents of our fridge to discover the fridge in Room 4 did not work. They had my husband put the fridge on a cart from Room 12 and roll it to Room 4 (doing this while trying to get ready for a wedding, extremely stressful). Once that was done, we loaded the fridge once again with our food and got ready and went to the wedding. The next morning we discovered that fridge had quit working as well (not sure if it was due to the move), and we lost all of our food. That evening around 8:00 pm, we received a knock on the door. There were construction workers outside and they said they had rented Room 4 and they showed my husband the paperwork as proof. The motel never organized with them that they had moved us. We complained when we left but the owners were nowhere around, we never saw them. We asked to be compensated for our stay. They didn't charge us tax which did not even cover the food we lost. The reason we booked at this motel was for the location and due to the fact that they had a restaurant attached. We were disappointed to find out the restaurant closes at 3:00 pm on weekends

Heater is very under powered - still cold here 4 hours later. Restaurant is not open in morning until around 9am - I'll be well down the road by then... Looks like there are some renovations going on, but the repairs look pretty crude so far. I won't be back unless I am desperate.

First, let me say that I'm somewhat of a germophobe so I don't like hotel carpet...the floor in this hotel was beautiful! Wood floors throughout! The service was also outstanding. Christine checked us in and when we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, she was able to upgrade our room! She also made several recommendations for dinner and was just so helpful! Everyone we came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. I'd like to also mention Emilie who was taking care of the breakfast area and stopped what she was doing to take our tray when she saw that we were finished. Overall, an amazing experience! I can't think of a bad thing to say about it...I wanted to move in!
Having stayed at Hampton's in England I was expecting a good quality hotel. On that front I was not…read moredisappointed. The staff were very helpful on checkin and always about the hotel with a smile. The room I had was a king room which has ample space for one or even two people. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath in it, which some Hampton's in England don't always have. The room was clean and tidy and the work area was of a good standard. The free wifi runs throughout the hotel and was good considering it was free. It's not the fastest but it was quick enough for my needs. They do advertise that they have a premium service but unless you need to download films or the like I'm not sure you need it. The hotel seemed very popular with families on vacation as there were many families with young children there during my stay. I would say they have a daily turn over as those families I spoke with said it was a convenient stop over on the way to somewhere or on the way home. They have a pool with a water slide which was very popular with those families, they also have a small gym with some CV equipment and free weights. The only negatives I have about the hotel are the breakfast, it's very repetitive and limited in choice. The actual breakfast area is too small for the number of people using it. There is no resturant or bar area. They do (according to the sigh) have a lounge area a few evenings a week where you can get a 'night cap'. Because of these things I can only go to 3 stars. I would recommend it if you are only in for a night or two any longer than that and you may struggle. It is conveniently located by the high way which is a positive and no more than 20 minutes from Moncton airport.

We slept well in a quiet room ....which we had requested and the hotel delivered. The pool whilst small was refreshing apart from two ankle biters who seemed unable to be contained by their keepers. I swam through them and they got the message but their keepers didn't even notice.

NO creativity in the cooking ,mussels were left on an open plate.no seasoning, no garlic sauce. A Goat cheese and Beet salad was really poorly prepared, it was on a 10 inch plate. For a nice hotel and the only hotel in town, they need a new cook . Terrible food preparation , very slow service but a remarkable evening on the Miramichi.

There are laundry facilities available to guests - just provide your own detergent. More like a hotel room than a B&B with flat screen tv, high speed internet, an in room coffee maker. It had it all only more homey. It was our first time in a Queen bed in years so that took some adapting. We chose the front upstairs room and would probably suggest a room in the rear. NBers like their big trucks and bikes and have no problem speeding noisily through the Main street late at night. Nice deck outside beside the house for drinks. The breakfast is from the Sagouine restaurant on the same property. Good choices for breakfast. We at supper there. Wanted a typical Acadian meal and opted for a Fricot au poulet. Turns out with the exception of dumplings that is Lorraine's regular homemade chicken soup. I like her more. Staying in Bouctouche, stay at the Gite of the Sagouine but opt for a room in the back.
