The first morning I had silog with tamarind chicken and pork asada, and lots of crispy Danggit! The congee was amazing! U added every topping possible plus fresh calamansi juice! Also had lychee chia pudding one morning and blueberry the next. The lycée was absolutely delicious! We consumed heaps of the most delicious dragon fruit. Now onto the pastries!! One morning they had bread and butter pudding squares and the other morning they had taisan bread. Both were so scrumptious!! Our server Harven was a delight! Friendly, got us warm milk, and answered my 6 million questions! We also took pictures in the back patio that overlooked Laguna de Bay. Beautiful views in every direction. They also had pineapple and mango jam! New jam flavors to me that were delicious on my cream cheese filled French toast. My husband also tries the miso ramen and the fresh salad with a great sesame dressing. In other words, we ate everything, everyone was so friendly and the views are incredible.

The Nest Dining in the Sky remains one of the most romantic dining destinations in the South…read more Perched atop Vivere Hotel, it offers sweeping views of the city, especially once the sun starts to set. While technically indoors, the restaurant opens its large sliding doors in the evening, creating a cool, breezy, open-air feel that makes the space both comfortable and memorable. It's easy to understand why so many couples choose this venue for date nights and proposals. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Since we came for an early dinner, we mostly ordered appetizers and dishes for sharing. We started with the Seafood Clam Chowder served in a bread bowl. It was decent and comforting, nothing particularly memorable, but certainly not bad. The Sisig Lumpia was unfortunately the weakest dish of the evening. Good sisig should have some crispness and texture, but this version lacked that signature crunch and came across as overly oily. It was the one dish I probably wouldn't order again. On the brighter side, the Pinchos drizzled with balsamic reduction were flavorful and enjoyable. The Beef Nachos were the star of the savory dishes, generously portioned, satisfying, and perfect for sharing. For dessert, we had the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, which was a great way to end the meal and easily one of the highlights of our order. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional, making sure everything flowed smoothly without being intrusive. While the food this visit was a bit mixed, the stunning views, romantic ambiance, and impeccable service continue to make The Nest a place worth returning to. I've dined here before and remember some of their entrées being much stronger than the appetizers we ordered this time, so I'd happily come back and explore more of the menu. The food may not be flawless, but the experience certainly is. For the view, ambiance, and service alone, The Nest earns a solid 4 out of 5 star

The antipasti, butter and bread bar was pretty good, though the breads were soft, I wish some were served warm to go with 5-6 types of butter. The French food/pizza was good too, but they seemed the most busy or maybe short staffed. I stood there for a few minutes before anybody even acknowledged me. They had a few people bring cold lobster from a separate area asking for them to be grilled/warmed up. The Japanese/tempura was good. The hibachi was EH. There was just meat and seafood sitting on a slightly warm flat top. Then there was the sushi area that was slicing sashimi constantly. It was delicious! There was the cold seafood area, though the shrimp was cooked perfectly, it lacked seasoning... maybe salt the water next time? They had a sliced meat area, Indian food, dim sum, Thai, Filipino food, Chinese bbq meats, soup station... everything was good. As for the desserts... nothing too crazy- they have a few ice cream flavors, smaller desserts, halo halo, fruit, and a chocolate fountain. There was a guy walking around serving up some street style balut! Shout out to their bartender, Reymond, that made a Calamansi whiskey sour... complete with the egg white!!!

So Attentive that they always bussed the plates and such at the most opportune time. The food was delicious. I had to try everyone's dish. My sis-in-law had the Marlin, mom had the Pork Chop. I had the riblets and my godchildren had bolognese spaghetti. Each dish had a deep flavor to each of them. Truly one of my favorite dining experiences here in Quezon City. The ambiance is nice and relaxing, forgot it was a tight place to be. It seemed cozy and spacious. But they had comfy seats and nice visuals all around. Hope I get to upload pics. I've got to go back soon.

While browsing through the menu, I felt that the food choices were a good fusion of all types of comfort food. Probably, the chefs behind 49B wanted to share with us their expertise in making food that they love. We ordered the Carne Asada Nacho Fries and Squash Flower Fritters to start. The carne asada fries could count as a meal on its own, and despite knowing how much calories are present, I think I could have still eaten some more. The fritters were a bit soft for my liking, but they tasted pretty good with the marinara sauce. My friends and I were quite hungry at the time, so we decided to order a little more than normal and just have everything for sharing. The Beef Lengua was quite good, and the gravy on top just had to be eaten with rice. We also ordered the Sinigang na Lechon, which was a bit smoky for me, but the flavor of all its ingredients could be distinguished very well. Their Papa's Tapa Fried Rice was very generous with their tapa, which included some tapa bits in the rice as well. The tapa was seasoned well and it wasn't too oily. I also liked the way the Chicken Yakitori was prepared. It was a good blend of salty and sweet, and the Japanese fried rice complements it perfectly. The winner for me would be the Dill Mashed Potato-Crusted Baked Salmon. This just tasted like it was supposed to, and the salmon was cooked well that the fish just melted in your mouth. After the very hearty meal, we got the Mary Ann's Chocolate Chip Cookies to share. Although there were only five pieces for all of us, we split it (evenly, somehow), and each took a turn dipping it in cold milk. What a great way to close up our meal. 49B does their menu well, and I think that a lot more people should try their versions of comfort food staples.

Stars for their appetizer spicy eggplant dish and delicious complimentary starter soup!…read more Crispy fried chicken was on the dry side but supposed to be their best selling dish, and my sister swears that last time she had it there--it was amazing. So consistency seems to be an issue so minus stars for that The rice they gave us definitely tasted from the day before, and it was not even fully warm. I'm particular with my rice and would love freshly cooked rice. (I know my rice! Lol) Tofu Kangkong was alright nothing to remember by. I did not like the taste of tofu on this dish. If you love goat, their kaldereta kambing my dad loved! Their single dessert of mango gulaman was approved by all of us. Better than the mango dessert from Savory we had the day before. So it's a must order after a spicy meal. Parking is a hassle since they only really have space for 2 cars to park and they tend to tow around that area. Stars for: service, spicy eggplant appetizer dish (must order!) Kaldereta Kambing and Mango Gulaman Cons: old cold rice, dry inconsistent chicken, blah tofu *Would I come back? I would definitely come back for the eggplant dish! I just hope they work out the consistency in their cooking PS: took a picture of the menu for everyone!

I was glad when I ran across Indonyaki a few months back because I would always crave for traditional Indonesian dishes such as satay, nasi goreng, ayam goreng and gado gado. Indonyaki doesn't disappoint with the flavors and the colors of their food, which the owner and chef Rodgie has studied extensively during his job postings as a resort worker in Indonesia and Malaysia. The small street-side diner which is inspired by the traditional Indonesian warung or small family-owned restaurant serves Indonesian favorites that are sold by food carts and peddlers in the streets of Jakarta, Bali and Yogyakarta. The long lines and the crowds that overflow to the curb are indicative of the restaurant's success. They are quite busy most of the time, and it could be a tad difficult to land a seat without waiting a while, but the servers are very prompt with the orders. I particularly enjoy the ayam goreng combo meal, which comes with fried chicken, fried rice, soup and iced tea. I also love the chicken satay doused with Indonesian sticky soy sauce and served with coarse peanut source. Rodgie admits to toning the spice profile down to something that the Filipino palate could readily appreciate, but if you are feeling adventurous, ask for their extra spicy sambal, or chili sauce. My recent favorites include the mie goreng (stir-fried noodles) and the kang kong and tofu stir-fry. The place also sells shawarma, which may be a bit of an identity crisis, a lovable identity crisis at that.
