My first trip to Coco Cubano was also my first time to Rouse Hill Town Centre. What a lovely setting! Reminded me a bit of Stars Hollow Town Centre for all you Gilmore Girls fans out there! We ordered a few tapas to share between 2 people. Ended up being quite expensive as the tapas averages about $11 each. We ordered 7 and were completely stuffed but you would need to order at least 5 for a good feed. This ended up being a bit pricey. There are cheaper meal alternatives on the menu though. Avoid the patatas. Thick chips that were undercooked. Not what I expected. Rest of the meal was pretty good though. Recommend the Tacos and Pork Sliders! Service was fine for us as we went on a cold rainy weeknight so it was quite empty. read more

This morning I had the pleasure of eating here and I must say, from the moment we walked in - the service was fantastic! We were pleasantly greeted by the waitress, orders were promptly take and delivered within 20mins.. The soy mocha was Devine.. Freshly squeezed O.J.. And the Havana Big Breakfast.. So disappointed with this place. Yesterday night came here for a light dinner, instead a friend and I ended up paying $50 for food that wasn't worth eating and drinks that weren't satisfying. Who would have thought you could get a piña colada or a lemon lime bitter wrong! Guess this place could. We ordered the beef and pork sliders and the chilli cheesy fries. The buns were too sweet and the meat was dry. Unfortunately in the past we could order one of each as appose to getting two of each, but rules changed and we weren't informed, so we paid for twice the food that we didn't want nor ate because it didn't taste good. I've been to this restaurant in parramatta and it wasn't this bad! I think the fact that there is a Grill'd opened up next door now is what makes this place not as good, Grill'd definitely has better sliders and chips! Will stick to grill'd next time. read more

Worst coffee service. 20mins to get a coffee let alone food. Wouldn't want to be in a rush when coming here. Finally got our food (two light meals) 30mins later. The food was stone cold. Their excuse for it being cold was that they were busy. This is not acceptable excuse for any business. We weren't offered a compensation for the lack service and cold food after complaining to their wait staff. This is not the first bad experience at Coco, but it will be our last experience here, as we will not be return to this cafe. read more

Unfortunately Coco Cubans has not lived up the to reviews and reputation for us. We order simple entree meals (calamari, and quesadilla) and a kids meal of ham and cheese toasty. Post ordering the waitress returned to say "oh did you know there's a 25 minute wait".... this was at 2pm so not as if it was peak hour lunch time.... we waited for 40minutes for the food in a cafe that was at best 30% full, while watching the kitchen in cruise control, no hussle no urgency, as if there were no orders to work through..... no apologies from staff for the extensive wait. The food: bland and mediocre... limited filling in the quesadilla, toasty looked like it had hardly touched any heat, with the only positive being the calamari which was quiet nice, soft and tender. In conclusion I don't think I will be returning due to some poor service and waiting time for an entree size order. read more

Came here for a meal a bit ago. The staff here are quite lovely and helpful, the waitress I had however didn't know much about the menu and she said it was only her first shift. So why was there no one with her helping her? the food took a bit of time but it was nice, I got the vegetarian nachos They serve alcohol which was nice with my meal I then saw an older man, who wasn't in any sort of uniform so I presume was the store owner, being incredibly rude to that new staff member, not a good look for customers to see I would consider coming back for the $10 lunch menu as it looks like good value read more

I really want to love this place, but I just can't. The one in the CBD is so much better. Drinks take ages (seriously what kind of place brings out your food 10 min before your drinks?) when you eat in, & the dark mocha I ordered on my first visit (which was served up very promptly) was just sad. Especially when the Taylor Square location made such amazingly perfect coffee. The mojitos here are perfect, though, & in a city that doesn't seem to DO mojitos (I mean really, even places that have them on the menu have been out of mint EVERY TIME I'VE ORDERED ONE all week), I'm grateful for a place that knows what's important. Our meal was on the edge of good & mediocre, so I'm bumping it up to 3 because I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt. The chicken burger isn't reeeeally periperi, but it's good. The chicken is sliced super thin, though. The grilled chicken breast is tender & juicy & flavourful, but the "quinoa salad" that it's meant to come with didn't appear to actually have any quinoa in it. The chips are seasoned well, though: A+ for those. The milk mocha I ordered with my blackberry cheesecake (latter not made in house but done by a specialist who knows their stuff) was worlds better than the dark, but still took longer than I think it should have. Overall, simply because I like the one in the city so much, & because this is close to my Sydney home, I have to like this place. I just hope they get their shit together soon. read more

Every had that sinking feeling when you've already sat down to eat and only then do you read the reviews on Yelp and stat hoping they're all wrong and you're in for a great experience? Well the reviews are spot on with this place. The food isn't bad, prices are average to expensive, but the service is pretty ordinary. They try to upsize everything so it feels like you're at a McDonalds. I ordered a regular latte with an extra shot and got asked twice if I wanted to make it a large. Eventually they came out and gave me a large half strength latte?!?!? Unfortunately Rouse Hill has a heap of chain / franchise cafes and not much in the way of anything tasty or original. read more

Confusing. Sign says Wait to be Seated. Guy says 'Sit anywhere '. Not given a menu til same guy asks if I've been served. Menu received. Immediately waitress asks for order and the menu hadn't reached my hand, let alone my eyes. A bit later the head guy asks if all OK so I explain I'm now ready to order. He takes my menu away, but doesn't take my order. Another guy comes to take my order but as he seems unfamiliar with menu items we get another menu so he can see what I want from the 6 or so choices. At this stage I'm so glad that I've just come the hairdressers. If this is one of those Candid Camera TV shows, at least my hair looks good! Another customer has just walked past pleading for his espresso. Poor darling.... I can only imagine how long he's been waiting! My Cubano Baked Eggs are on their way. It is 10am so not too hectic. Sitting near the register I'm hearing the 3rd customer dispute the bill, but things are getting quietly sorted. Eggs tasted fine. Not outstanding, but all things considered, felt I was lucky to be fed. When the waitress swooshed in to take my plate it was hard to stop her as I had toast in my mouth as well as in my hand. I wish I had listens to my friends advise and avoided this place. Wife and I went for dinner and ordered drinks which took about 10 mins to come out (not that bad I thought). As for the food though who knew tacos could take so long to make. After waiting for 40 minutes and enquiring it took another 15 for food to arrive. The food also costs way more tha it's worth. If you're after a quick decently priced meal I would recommend Grill'd just across the plaza. read more

The food is ok if like me you want to relive your USA holiday experience and get America style burgers. The service however is really bad, I am a real fan of the food so have come here serval times. Busy or especially if it's quiet I have always had some sort of service issue such as a long time to be seated or a long time to be served or rude service. Rouse hill now has several other good food options if you want a good burger, so I shall not return read more

Poor service, wrong order (had to go back to the register to correct and pay the difference, no biggie, but a pain), requested 2 x table waters, on receipt, but they did not deliver, and then delivered 1 when asked. Wagu burger was amazing, Haloumi Fajita was good, but guacamole was too "cream based" according to wife. Iced Latte was dreadful. Waiter / waitresses have always been great. Breakfast menu is so much better than the lunch one. Been there twice for lunch in the last two weeks with our daughter-in-law from America. The first time I ordered a chicken, bacon & avo burger but it had a chilli type sauce on it which was not stated on the menu. Waitress offered a remake, I chose to have the price removed as it kind of turns you off wanting to reorder. The second time I ordered fish with chips & salad. When I asked for tartare sauce I was told they don't have it and that the closest thing is the garlic aioli...... who serves fish without tartare???? I would probably go back ONCE more, as I believe in trying things three times before ruling them out. read more

Eaten here three times with a group of friends, the first time was the week it opened and almost everything went wrong with our orders but we thought we'd let it slip since after-all it was their first week. Now much later and two more trips I'm still very underwhelmed wi their service. The ambiance is there and it's a nice place for social dinners and drinks but the food just takes ages to come out and the drinks usually arrive after the food ... Which is very annoying. The thick cut chips are nice but some dishes are just based on those. Also lacking options for our vegetarian friends. read more

No stars! First time I have ever been so unhappy at any restaurant anywhere in the world... and that includes a no named place in the Middle East! (And that had rats running through the kitchen!)
