I had fifteen minutes to kill before heading over to the restaurant to pick up my food. I decided to check out the stores across from this restaurant, as I haven't been here in ages. I found this Gong Cha between the Bell store and Tahini's. The food scene is much better here than it was a couple of years ago. I saw RUDY nearby, and a Mac and Wings plac, too! This plaza always has a lot of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. Two staffers were there. The male one greeted me immediately and was so friendly. I was looking at the daily specials. I wanted a fruit drink and the daily special was a milk one. I was looking at the drink menu and got completely sidetracked by the cute Line Friends keychains in front of me. I got the Binini (brown bear) keychain. Okay, back to the menu... I ordered a large peach green tea with coconut jelly. My usual is to get it with no sugar and less ice, which I did. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. Both the male and female staffers worked on my drink. I barely had time to take more photos when my drink was ready. I thanked both of them and headed out with my drink. After I had picked up my dinner at Swiss Chalet, I took the backroads home and had my drink. I had an issue with the straw. The pointy end of the straw wasn't sturdy enough. I actually crushed it trying to stab my drink's seal with it. I ended up using a sturdier bubble tea straw that I had in my car (I have reusable straws and cutlery in my car because I'm ridiculously prepared for emergency drink and food issues). Much better! I loved my drink. It was cold and delicious. The peach flavour was perfect. I could taste the green tea. The coconut jelly made this drink sweet and I love it. So good! It's nice to see Aurora with a bubble tea joint. I should visit Aurora more often. I will now after visiting this Gong Cha! (214)

We sat and chatted for a few minutes until our drinks were ready. I forgot to ask if the sugar level could be reduced but full levels of sugar wasn't too bad. I just would've preferred it less sweet. I was surprised that I could actually taste ginger in the drink. I saw in another review that the hot drink was not actually hot. I can confirm that mine wasn't hot either, more on the warm side.

I used to visit the box stores often a few years back. I decided to check out what was there and refresh my memory. I found this Bulk Barn. I parked and walked in. The staff here are exceptionally friendly. A woman immediately said hi to me. While checking out the snacks aisle (you know that I am writing this post and I haven't been kidnapped by aliens when I talk about snacks), when a man stocking items also said hi. I liked it all. There is far more variety than I recall at any Bulk Barn. I got an orange and cream lollipop, which was yummy. I actually sucked on it during a two-hour movie afterwards. Who needs to get popcorn when you can go with a lollipop for $2.49 before tax? There are plenty of dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan items. My favourite Daiya and Sweets from the Earth are all here, at decent prices. Zevia sugar-free drinks were 30% off the regular price. The cold drinks section at the back of the store is excellent. I saw Bounty minis and M&M's. There were unicorn and chocolate-covered Oreos. There were a ton of nuts and I'm not referring to fellow shoppers. It's a wonderful place to get snacks for cheap prices. You can get as much or as little as you need, which has also been cool about Bulk Barn. I liked the pineapple ice shapes. I may head back to get some. I managed to get a silicone straw for bubble tea. I use so many straws that it's time to reduce my usage with reusable ones. My purple straw was only $1. My childhood candies also surfaced here. I have never seen so many coloured gumballs in my life. There were also these giant jawbreakers that I still don't know how I would approach eating one. The cashier helping me out was super helpful and nice. You can pay using cash, and debit and credit cards. I went with a debit card. So they do have sandwiches, pasta and some hot plates if you do desire. The interior quite cozy with dim lighting. We parked ourselves right on the armchairs the moment we stepped into the empty restaurant on a weekday afternoon. Cappuccino ($2.75) and Cafe Mocha ($2.99) both serves in proper glassware.. which I think does enhance the experience... (+0.5 star). The roast of the coffee is the way I like it... bold with a lot of character.. I cannot comment on the Mocha, but seems like my friend really enjoyed that. Tons of magazines for one to read... so while I was sipping my java and daydreaming.. my friend just busy flipping through all the fashion magazines...
