I love that CoCo has monthly promotional drinks! I went to get one of their July drinks- passion fruit mango slush with lychee popping pearls with 50% sweetness. This drink is probably one of their best promos! The popping pearls went perfectly with the drink, so full of lychee flavour, and the slush was perfect for a hot day. It was still quite sweet, I'll try even less sweetness level next time. This location is inside a small store with other food vendors. Service was alright, quick but nothing special. read more

Note: even with the 0% sugar, it's quite sweet! This location is located inside a building with several other vendors. Minimal seating here. This location also usually has some type of monthly special where you can get a drink for around $5. You can also get points if you have the Coco App - just show the cashier your QR code and they will scan it. Came here yesterday evening for their buy one get one roasted milk drink free promotion. The roasted milk was delicious and I could taste the roasted rice flavour strongly. We added tapioca, which gave the drink more sweetness. The sago taro was also great, and tasted like cake. I get all my drinks 30% sweetened with no ice. In this case, the roasted milk tasted a lot less sweet than 30% at Chatime (which I think is good for those of us who prefer less sugar), while the sago taro was a lot sweeter and I would even get it at 0% sugar next time. I think the taro flavoring + sago would give enough sweetness to the drink. Overall coco is always a good choice, and I'm happy to hear that they often have promos. SARAH the cashier. As a regular at CoCo's on Yonge St., I just came back from the worst ordering experience ever. Sarah the cashier who took my order was bitchy beyond belief. Her rude attitude was terrible from the start: unfriendly demeanor, wouldn't answer simple questions, unfamiliar with product names and ingredients, barks at customers, rushes the order, insists on telling you how to order, etc. She's the dark cloud that hovers and poisons the environment. Definitely lacks training and wouldn't be accepted anywhere else with such low EQ. She needs to be let go before more customers are lost. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

Went here on the first day it opened, there was a line of people waiting for the BOGO promotion. It was around a 30 minute wait for me. I ordered the pearl milk tea and it tastes the same as any other Coco location! I noticed that there were a few employees from the Yonge and Wellesley location here helping as well. I ordered the Bubble Gaga which consists of passion fruit tea with tapioca and coconut jelly. Like other Coco locations, one has the option to customize sugar and ice levels. My drink was served quickly and they got my order right. I was pleased with the sweetness of my drink ordered 50% sweet, with less ice. I was also impressed with the amount of tapioca and coconut jelly in my drink. Coco is in a small space, shared with 2 other takeout restaurants. Have come back at least 10 time since their Grand Opening and this is my go-to bbt place. Tea and pearls have been consistent every time. Tea is flavourful and not diluted, 50% sugar works well (I usually get 30% at Chatime). Staff are super friendly and efficient. Can use your Vicinity rewards card here. One thing I've noticed that they do that no one else does is that they know to jiggle your drink to mix your drink and toppings, before handing it to you. read more

We have ordered SMALL MANGO GREEN TEA WITH GRASS JELLO, LARGE CHOCOLATE MILK TEA + PEARL, LEMON KING + COCONUT JELLO, and TAPIOCA CHOCOLATE. There are two sizes of the drinks. The large one is like $5 and the small is $4. They used all the fresh seasonal ingredients. The customers can choose the size of the cup, ingredients, sugar level for their Bubble tea. I came here after dinner for a quick pick up for the ride back home to Ottawa. This place was in a building that had a few other eateries too. I was very impressed with how fast the drinks we ordered came out since the place was very small as it's a shared space. I believe we got our two drinks out in less than 5 minutes. The place in general wasn't the cleanest we've seen but it's meant for a fast in and fast out experience. There aren't many tables and chairs to stick around and mingle, which is probably why it wasn't super busy and our drinks came out fast. The drinks tasted great! This place is in the heart of downtown right by the Yonge and Dundas square and close to Ryerson. The pearls are fresh and is the right amount in the tea. The milk pearl tea with no sugar is a bit bitter but when you eat the pearls it balances out. Also the mango slush with pearls was really good and comparable to Chai Time's mango slush. I had heard so much Coco fresh and wanted to give it a try. But was very disappointed that they don't offer the fresh taro at this location! Why would they not? Again, i had heard great things and wanted to try one so badly. We ended up getting other drinks (taro slush, banana special, mango slush and the #2) and was not impressed. I was actually really looking forward to it. Maybe i didn't get the right drinks. They certainly looked busy, but i didn't find it particularly special in any way. TL;DR Our holy grail original bubble tea is from CoCo. One of our favourite bubble tea shops. Have come to this shop and other CoCos no less than 50 times. We always order the original with 50% or 30% sugar. Having tried many other bubble tea shops around Toronto, we can confidently say that for the original tea, nothing else compares to CoCo. It's got a great sweet aftertaste, and incredibly juicy tapioca. The other teas - bubble gaga, taro, etc.- are definitely not as good. Can probably find better alternatives elsewhere. read more

I got the Pearl Milk Tea and it was quite good. The tapioca had an interesting texture and the price wasn't terrible. My friend who got the Banana Pudding was truly disappointed. It simply tasted like a banana smoothie, and she said, "I can easily make this at home, this drink doesn't even have any pudding flavour." Terrible service at your new location, 372 Yonge Street. My boyfriend and I were next in line when the ladies at the cash rudely told us that they would no longer be serving us or anyone behind us in the line. We waited OVER 30 minutes in line for your bubble tea. Why did your staff not tell us that they would be closing off the line when it was close to the closing time? Did you know how many people were waiting in the cold to have some of your bubble tea? As mentioned, we were NEXT in line. No, not even a warning. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Not to us, but to everyone behind us. If you know there is a long line and you know you will be closing soon, it is YOUR responsibility to let your customers know you will not be serving them. There is more than enough staff to close the doors or give some sort of warning. You either train your staff better or there will be less people drinking your bubble tea. What a waste of time. Just recently opened a few weeks ago and has numerous specials going on. To be alerted via text, make sure you sign up for the vicinity card and collect points with every purchase. The space is shared with 3 other food chains and therefore seating is limited compared to the other one on yonge that's closer to bloor. Average wait of 15 minutes, got the orders accurate and all tasted great and the pearls were easy to chew. My favourite so far is the matcha machiatto latte. But get the large. I got the regular size and with the foam and bubbles I barely had any matcha in the cup. 3 guys is also a frequent favourite with pudding, grass jelly and bubbles. read more

I'm so happy this Coco's is located closer to where I live, so I don't have to walk to the one around Yonge and Wellesley. Sometimes the line gets long, but other than that, I think it's no different from any other location and their menu is pretty standard. I love their pearl milk tea, sago taro milk tea (with extra grass jelly), and grapefruit yakult/grapefruit green tea! I don't think there's anything necessarily special about Coco's, compared to newer stores that have different types of teas and more creative items; but it's definitely a safe pick for good boba! read more

Since I was downtown today, I decided to go for a boba run. I had a place I wanted to try out originally but the storefront was closed so I decided just to walk up the street for Coco. I've had Coco in the past in both Canada and Taiwan but it was never a place I regularly came for bubble tea. It was my first time at this location and my first time ordering their winter melon tea (honestly my staple, now). It's located with other stores to create something like a mini food court, which I think is cool but it loses its coziness as a cafe. The line was long, but I think the cashier did try to her best get through everyone quickly (it's probably a popular location due to its proximity to Eaton's Centre and Ryerson). I'm quite surprised by my drink considering the tea is quite flavourful, I could probably have lessen my sugar level since it was 100%, as it's quite sweet even for a sweet tooth like me; however, the grass jelly goes well with the drink with every sip! read more

It takes almost no time to make the drinks as they are appropriately staffed, and staff are friendly too. I got the mango slush with only a few pearls, super yummyyyy! I was so excited about this newly opened location since it is so close to Ryerson, however I am very disappointed after making a visit there as I did not have a really good experience today. I came and waited in line but the cashier helped the other customers that came after me. This was okay since I understand sometimes they might not be aware when I came in. After taking my order, the cashier let me pay and turned away to make the drink for other customers. Once other customers got their drinks, I was a bit confused because they were not making any other drinks and just stood there chatting with each other. I was the only one customer left and they completely ignored me as they did not even make any eye contact or asked if I needed anything. So I asked her if anyone was making my drink and she said she "forgot" (?!!!). I wouldn't be very upset if the store was busy, however clearly it was not busy at all and I felt completely ignored when I just stood there waiting for nothing. So they started making my drink but took so long for it since they were still chatting with each other again. I love Coco for their drinks and fast service but this is totally the worst experience that I've ever had, especially it is the soft opening week of this location.
