Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Milk Tea
    Alex C.

Got the Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Milk Tea, Large Size, 0% sugar, less ice ($6.80). This is item number 20. I asked the cashier and this uses non-dairy creamer. Note: even with the 0% sugar, it's quite sweet! This location is located inside a building with several other vendors. Minimal seating here. This location also usually has some type of monthly special where you can get a drink for around $5. You can also get points if you have the Coco App - just show the cashier your QR code and they will scan it. I'd normally give this 4 stars, but I'm giving it 5 stars since Coco was the name of my beloved childhood dog.

Taro sago and roasted milk tea

Came here yesterday evening for their buy one get one roasted milk drink free promotion. The roasted milk was delicious and I could taste the roasted rice flavour strongly. We added tapioca, which gave the drink more sweetness. The sago taro was also great, and tasted like cake. I get all my drinks 30% sweetened with no ice. In this case, the roasted milk tasted a lot less sweet than 30% at Chatime (which I think is good for those of us who prefer less sugar), while the sago taro was a lot sweeter and I would even get it at 0% sugar next time. I think the taro flavoring + sago would give enough sweetness to the drink. Overall coco is always a good choice, and I'm happy to hear that they often have promos. Will be going back soon.

For Nov 1-30 2019, they introduced the Brown Sugar Pearl Series (with or without milk). The cost is $3.99 for the medium size. Very delicious. For some reason, I found the pearls to be softer and more chewy than in the past, which I consider better.

Best mango green tea I ever had I loved it so much you taste more mangoe than green tea if you're okay with that then you'll love it too the only problem I had was with the cashier she tried to give me attitude because she didn't hear what size I ordered other than that everything was great it was very fast I didn't have to wait long after ordering to get my drink

    Opening promo Sept 15-17.2017

I like the location. Very central and close to Ryerson. Despite the busy line due to their opening promo, the cashier's were ready to answer the questions from the product menu. I like the fact they had sufficient manpower at hand. The line went pretty quick. Even the classic tastes good.

Went here on the first day it opened, there was a line of people waiting for the BOGO promotion. It was around a 30 minute wait for me. I ordered the pearl milk tea and it tastes the same as any other Coco location! I noticed that there were a few employees from the Yonge and Wellesley location here helping as well. The way people lined up was efficient as you can grab and go or sit down and drink with your friends. This spot will be busy as it is very close to Ryerson.

I was looking for a bubble tea place to satisfy my bubble tea cravings while walking around near Yonge and Dundas when I recalled Coco had recently opened up a new location in the area. At the time of my visit, there was a grand opening special for either a large Bubble Gaga or large 2 Ladies bubble tea for $3.88. I ordered the Bubble Gaga which consists of passion fruit tea with tapioca and coconut jelly. Like other Coco locations, one has the option to customize sugar and ice levels. My drink was served quickly and they got my order right. I was pleased with the sweetness of my drink ordered 50% sweet, with less ice. I was also impressed with the amount of tapioca and coconut jelly in my drink. Coco is in a small space, shared with 2 other takeout restaurants. There is limited seating but this location is probably intended for mainly takeout orders.

Large strawberry macchiato with dart cream top and I added bubbles for extra 55 cents. Large strawberry black tea on the right.

There are many staff working in the small food stall, so the line up always move by very quickly! Similar experience as in other coco fresh tea franchise stores. Quick and consistent quality! This time I've tried the new strawberry black tea and strawberry macchiato with salted cream top! Both are awesome and can't wait to come back to try the two other new strawberry flavours!

Have come back at least 10 time since their Grand Opening and this is my go-to bbt place. Tea and pearls have been consistent every time. Tea is flavourful and not diluted, 50% sugar works well (I usually get 30% at Chatime). Staff are super friendly and efficient. Can use your Vicinity rewards card here. One thing I've noticed that they do that no one else does is that they know to jiggle your drink to mix your drink and toppings, before handing it to you.

    Pearl Milk Tea Smoothie

The Pearl Milk Tea Smoothie (30% sugar) is suprisingly delicious! Flavour is the same as regular milk tea but the texture is just different in smoothie form.

    Mango yakult with tapioca

This coco is in a food court area with some other shops. The service is fast and it wasn't busy at all which meant no line. I got the mango yakult with tapioca. I've tried yakult in the grapefruit drink before and it tastes much better in my opinion. This is a grab and go kind of coco store so don't expect a great interior or nice area to sit.

Bubble Tea Cafe in Toronto is very popular. People can find a bubble tea place on each street downtown Toronto. I am not a bubble tea fan, but my boyfriend is. The second day we've downtown, my boyfriend took me to a bubble tea place called COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE. COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE has many locations in Toronto and other cities around the world. There are more than 2000 stores in the world. The one we've been is close to our hotel on the busiest street downtown Toronto. We have been to this place twice and every time we arrived there after dinner around 8 pm. This place was always super busy. It has big line up already. We have ordered SMALL MANGO GREEN TEA WITH GRASS JELLO, LARGE CHOCOLATE MILK TEA + PEARL, LEMON KING + COCONUT JELLO, and TAPIOCA CHOCOLATE. There are two sizes of the drinks. The large one is like $5 and the small is $4. They used all the fresh seasonal ingredients. The customers can choose the size of the cup, ingredients, sugar level for their Bubble tea. People can drink it in or take to go. We enjoyed our bubble time at COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE.

This place is in the heart of downtown right by the Yonge and Dundas square and close to Ryerson. The pearls are fresh and is the right amount in the tea. The milk pearl tea with no sugar is a bit bitter but when you eat the pearls it balances out. Also the mango slush with pearls was really good and comparable to Chai Time's mango slush. Great place, check it out!

The tapioca is soft and great! I find with the fruit drinks. Because the fruit is already sweet. I ask for no sugar.

I was craving a warm bowl and their new Spicy Miso Salmon Bowl caught my eye. The price of the bowl was on the higher end (~$22 before tax/tip) but not surprised as we're in the downtown core. I will say .. the portions were very generous and all the ingredients were very fresh! I was pleasantly surprised and am satisfyingly full. They had a lot of different vegetable options mixed in and the rice was nice and warm, reflecting the freshness once again. There were a lot of other items on the menu that I was interested in so I would be keen to return, especially for their smoothies. The ladies at the cash were very quick and helpful when I had some questions about my order. I got my bowl pretty quickly (~11:30 am) but can imagine this place gets busy. Luckily they do let you order in advance so may take advantage of that next time.

There are nine locations in the east coast. I ordered the Carrot Cake ($3.00). It was delicious! Even my son loved it. All their smoothies are vegan-friendly, made with coconut milk. There are no added sweeteners or sugars; they use juice from real fruits (banana or date extract) as sweeteners. Smoothies cannot be changed to take out the sweeteners. I also ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie ($9.95). It is the only smoothie where you can choose to have yogurt instead of coconut milk. Of course I had to try the yogurt version, making it thicker. It was quite good. Even though it says banana in the name, you won't taste the banana because it was only used as a sweetener. All their food are vegan-friendly and gluten-free. If it isn't listed as vegan or gluten-free free, just ask them and they can make it as desired. All products are made on-site using fresh, never-frozen ingredients. There is a large kitchen in the back. Their matcha drinks are very popular, selling about 70% of all their drink orders! They have some nice touches. Their napkins are of such a good quality that it is similar to a cloth towel in thickness. But there are no garbage bins since most people order for takeout; just give you garbage to the staff. There are 4 small tables with 8 chairs total. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi from Union Station. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms at Union Station. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-136
