Getting some bubble tea afterwards would be great. I walked over. I saw two women leave the counter without any drinks. They seemed disappointed. I walked up to the counter and got a friendly woman. I ordered my usual, which was a large strawberry black tea. I get it with no sugar and less ice, and add coconut jelly. The woman asked if I'd be okay with a strawberry-cranberry version instead. It wasn't what what I had in mind. This store had a shortage of strawberries. I was game to change things up slightly. What I'm not a fan of is folks telling me that my drink will be sour without sugar. I realize that they mean well. However, I have been cutting out sugar in my drinks for over a decade. I'm okay with it. I also had to explain that the coconut jelly has sugar, so it's not like this drink will be super sour. Same goes with the strawberries in it. She admitted that I was right. No kidding! It's my go-to drink at CoCo, minus the cranberries. It's not my first bubble tea rodeo. I tapped to pay for my drink. I got a text for my receipt. I then waited patiently for my drink, which didn't take long to make. I didn't see the $3.99 drink special until after I had ordered my drink. Next time! My drink was ready. I thanked the woman.
