Went there today (Sunday afternoon around 2pm) for the first time and it was a very good experience. The salon wasn't busy at this time and the Staff was really lovely. The place is clean and very quiet. Price for shellac is about the same of other locations and Gina was really nice to me, she was very gentle dealing with my super thin cuticles. It took about an hour to get my manicure done (solid colour, no nail art). Will return. read more

This is such a great place!! Way better than the other nail salons I have been too (namely lux nails nearby). Very calm atmosphere, clean, the Korean ladies are all so friendly! I even brought my baby with me in the stroller, and they were making him laugh, and so accommodating!!! Had a great pedicure done by Jenny and eyebrow & upper lip wax done by Gina. Prices reasonable for the area. Parking is available as well, if you travel north down Bayview, turn right (at the end of the condo building), and follow the signs. read more

I came here today to get my pedicure done. It costed $45 (before tips) for the shellac pedicure. I have never had a shellac pedicure done in 30 minutes in my entire life. The cuticles were not cleaned properly and there was a bump on my big toe at the end. You could see that the color was not applied neatly on the cuticle ends which made me very upset. It was my first time at this location since it's close to my place. Operated by Korean beauticians. The lady that was helping me was pretty bad. Her name is Judy. I did shellac manicure and pedicure. Thinking to come here for a relax break but I felt a lot more stressed out by the time I left. She's really rough, kind of slow, even more so rude. I don't think I'll ever come back. I went for a mani/pedi and it was my first time at this location and I was amazed by the friendliness of the staff but I was very disappointed by the service. I am not sure if she was a technician in training but she did a horrible job. She did not properly clean my cuticles, my pedicure (the scrubbing of my feet) was not done well at all. I smiled with the young lady because she was very nice but she could tell I wasn't excited about the service. I expected a higher standard of service from such an establishment company. I was excited because they opened up last minute for a quick polish change. Getting here I selected a color but when I realized it was too watery and I asked to change but I was asked to pay $2 for each of hands and toes. The usual nail places have a nice massage chair - here they charge $10 for 10 minutes. Then my nail was a bit broken so they charged $5 for that. The polish change that at most places is $10 per each of toes and hands is $25 here plus all the additions. The most disappointing part was that they don't offer you good nail polish to begin with. I often go rock climbing and uses chalk on my hands alot, hence they are dried and nail beds are def not well maintained.. The salon is conveniently located next to the Bayview Station and Bayview Village shopping centre, so travelling to it is a breeze. I had visited Coco before for a manicure and was left with a great impression, so I thought I'd come back a second time to get my eyebrows shaped! I prefer threading because my skin is sensitive near the brows, but threading was only available by appointment. The lady at the counter, the owner I think, was very kind and offered to wax them instead. I hesitated but agreed. She was very thorough, and even though there was a slight language barrier, she knew what I wanted and thoroughly shaped my brows! She waxed, plucked, trimmed and applied a soothing liquid afterwards as well. I'll definitely be back- and for $12, it's half the price of a lot of other beauy salons. I feel so bad giving this place a 3 star review. I understand why, though, this place would get 5 stars. Positives: 1. Location! So, so, handy as it's right outside Bayview Subway Station 2. It's no frills - you walk in and out with a mani and pedi. These ladies are efficient and get the job done quickly. For me, I had to do a last minute mani/pedi and this place got the job done 3. Not expensive. I used to get pedicures for $80 and mani's for $60. Here, you can get both for $45. 4. I wouldn't recommend this, but I took a chance. I desperately needed to get my eyebrows cleaned up, and here, they also offer waxing services. I took a HUGE chance, and you know what, the lady got the job done. Don't expect any shaping, contouring, etc...They basically just wax the bushy hairs off and voila. I looked "cleaner," but I would still recommend going to a professional eyebrow shaper. Now, why do I only give three stars? Because it was a-ok. I say this, but this really is a no-frills place where the ladies get the job done. They are quick, efficient, and professional. I always come to this location if I'm able to. I don't have a preference on which technician does my nails because they've all done a wonderful job in the past. They've never used the nail drill to scrape off shellac on me like most establishments. They really take their time on your nails to make sure it's exactly how you'd like it and they repeatedly check with you. They don't ask typical 'do you have a boyfriend?'/'where are you from?' questions and let the conversation flow organically. Being Korean, I understand everything they're saying to each other and I've never revealed to them my background. I can happily say, they're never talking about us! Overall, I'll keep returning because this place is clean with a solid, caring group of technicians. read more

It ended up being 83 bucks for a regular pedicure and a shellac manicure! Couldn't not give more than ten bucks for tips as it will be over 90bucks and trust me nothing special to be charged that kinda of money! The result I like. read more

I've only been here on two occasions - once for a manicure and again for a pedicure - yet I can only say this is such a great salon. It is set on a very busy intersection around Bayview Village, but when you walk in, you feel like the calm and the gentle classical music playing in the background allows you to zone out the outside world. I can't say I go to a lot of nail salons, so I am already kind of stingy when it comes to this sort of stuff. The prices seem really good, considering its location. The ladies are very efficient and organized. Everything here seems to be well-stocked and I've only had the best service here. The seating is comfortable and the equipment seems to be in good order. Call ahead to make a reservation as it can get busy here. The only caveat: the staff here do not speak a lot of English. GRATUITIES: Try to leave a cash tip. read more

First of all, i have to comment on the good things about this place. Its clean. The place looks very new and clean. they clean the tub for pedicure right away after the customer is done. But im not sure about the tools they used whether they sanitize it or not at least i didnt see it. And they did okay with my nails. I did the shellac manicure and pedicure. Here comes the bad things. I think its because they have lots of customers, they try to get people in and out fast, they didnt even ask me what kind of design i want or chat with me anything about what i wanted at all. They just did the colouring but i actually i wanted something more. The worst is, the elder lady was so rough while doing the manicure (my manicure and pedicure was done at the same time by two different person) that i felt it was like hell. I have never done manicure with such discomfort. Isnt manicure suppose to be relaxing and comfortable? But that is completely opposite from what i was feeling. And the worst is, SHE MADE ME BLEED ON TWO OF MY FINGERS!!!! OMG seriously, she was so rough that when she was removing the cuticles of my fingers, both were bleeding!!!! I have done manicure in asia, in america, and canada.m, and i have to say it is definitely the worst. But i cant say the store is bad overall because the other ladies might be good and this elder lady is just an exception. So be careful when u go to this store, BEWARE OF THE ELDER LADY! And they offered no discount or anything to compensate my bleeding fingers. I stumbled upon this place when I trekked by to Bayview Village to meet with my girlfriend for lunch. My nail technician left the salon I had been going to and moved back to Vietnam. Since then I have been on a hunt to find a place I like. Great location although parking can be tricky at times unless you park in the Loblaws parking lot. The staff is friendly and the two girls I have tried so far do great pedis and manis. I plan on going back many more times and maybe this will be my new forever place. Here is my feedback: The atmosphere - Super clean, very hygienic and looks like a high-end nail bar. The decor is trendy but very comfortable. The staff - Very friendly and sweet. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The colour selection/polish - Excellent, and they carry all of the high-end brands. The polish is also arranged by colour, which makes it easy to choose. Nothing sloppy about this place. The service: I went in for a pedicure, and the lady did a great job. My feet look awesome, feel soft, and the massage was so relaxing. She really took her time and was thorough with every element of the service. And unlike many similar places I've been to, they started right on time. The cost: Same as most medium-to-low end nail salons, but you get the service and feel of a high-end salon. I stumbled across this salon on Yelp while searching for a nail bar within the North York area. After reading some of the previous reviews I took a chance and left extremely happy. I'm not one for the whole chatty, girly gossip scene or the constant conversation between the aestheticians, which is why this place gained more points in my book because there was hardly any of that. It's a clean and relaxing environment with classical music being played in the background and most importantly reasonably priced. The lady who did my shellac manicure ($35), Sarah, did an amazing job. I've been to the top nail bars in Toronto and none of their final outcomes are comparable. She took her time and was very detail oriented ensuring every cuticle was smooth, all nails were symmetrical and the polish was perfectly lined up. If you want to have a relaxing 'you time' nail appointment, this is the place for you. I can happily say I've found my new nail spot. read more

i've been coming here since the day it opened which has been 3 years now! a couple times i've wandered off to try new places but instantly regret it the moment i walk into their doors. at coco you'll be greeted by all the staff which creates a welcoming atmosphere. the decor is minimal, yet chic and organized. coco doesn't have that asian nail bar sweat shop vibe nor does it have the smell of acrylic. i've always had satisfying service from them and have my go-to ladies. the only "peeves" (purely selfish reasons) is that it's hard to do walk-ins now that they've gained clientele, so calling ahead is highly recommended. i also wish they'd expand their gel colour selection as i'm getting bored of the same rotation. read more

Did shellac manicure for the first time for my sister-in-law's wedding. From doing some research online I understand shellac should last 2 weeks. Well, mine barely did. Didn't chip on the nail part which I loved but peeling from the cuticle end. Also read that you need to go back to the salon to use acetone to remove? Well, as the shellac was slowly lifting, I was able to peel it off myself and just reapplied cuticle nail oil on. I saw my sister-in-law yesterday after she came back from her honeymoon. This is 3 weeks after the wedding and her shellac is still intact... no peeling and still hard...and she even paid less than me at a place near Yonge and Finch! This was my first time coming here and too be honest, everyone seems nice and all but the service wasn't too great. I got a shellac manicure and when I was done, it didn't seem like I got a manicure besides the fact that it now has shellac on it. My nails were filed but she didn't match each nail to each other so I had 10 different lengths of nails. The lady seemed like an older lady that didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing. I wanted to get a design, so I asked them if they had samples and they told me they could do any so I can just find one online to my liking. Due to my experience with nail salons, I decided to pick something simple, just in case they couldn't do it. Turns out I was right. I had picked a design that literally had 2 things, a simple filled in heart and a cross. Didn't seem too difficult to me so I figured they had no way to mess it up. She ended up taking longer to draw on those two designs than my manicure.The end results was mediocre and to be honest, I wouldn't come back unless I was desperate for simple manicure. read more
