The manager or owner, Sam is rude and unkind. I have been going there for two years . He did a terrible job on my nails and when I left for Europe via acrylic came off two days later . I had to find somebody in Portugal, who was wonderful and paid him to redo his bad job . When I returned and showed it to him , he told me he would not redo it. I decided to try out coco nails when my regular pedicurist was away for about 2 months. I went with the deluxe gel pedi aka Heavan on Earth. This nail salon feels like you are at a spa. The decor is cute. The space is super clean and fresh looking. I only go to a place that uses disposable bags for the pedi. The deluxe pedi including massage with oil and hot stones!! Plus a warm towel to legs, scrub, and then another massage with lotion. Oh yeah and parrafin wax in the end. It was extra to have old skin exfoliate from feet ($10). Personally, I thought that should of been included in the original price. Gel deluxe pedi $52. Removal.of old gel $15. So my total cost was $77 but due to the fabulous massage and extra it was well worth it. They take debit cards but tips are cash. They just found themselves a new customer. read more

This is the worst nails salon I have ever been to! They made me feel like a child the whole time who was in trouble... they sat my sister who also got her nails done behind me we weren't allowed to talk to each other with out them getting mad and yelling at us. I showed my nail tech my wedding nails for reference to the shape I wanted (and she knew I just said they were my wedding nails) then she proceeded to call them hideous, ugly, and so bad multiple times and told me to never show her something like that again. I asked for cuticle oil at the end (which was one of the only sentences I said after even being told to stop talking to her!!!) and she said no when I could clearly see they had cuticle oil. I also could tell that me and my sisters nail techs were shit talking us the WHOLE TIME. and laughing. Oh and the only reason I am giving them one star is because it won't let me leave zero. Bottom line- they do not know how to treat customers and I will never go back there or recommend them after feeling that uncomfortable and belittled for an hour and a half! read more

I got acrylic nails there and they did not come out that good. they didn't cut my natural nails, or clean under the nail. I got something really simple just a light green french tip, the french tips came out crooked and wonky, not only that the shape of the nails aren't the same size, and also you can see my natural nail tip and all the dirt, that they didn't get rid of, under it. If you want to get acrylic nails done, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

Do NOT ever go here. This was the most horrific manicure I've ever had in my life. It ended with me having to call the police for being harassed and forced to pay for two manicures that were Terrible. The horrific experience started when the man told me I was taking way too long to pick out polish with my friend. I had an appointment and I have never been felt to rush. I was told repeatedly it's my fault they don't have any time and they have more appointments after me to do (there was No One waiting there)...it simply was untrue. He proceeded to file nails unevenly with a harsh file, I found he cut my cuticle and barely gave a hand massage. I asked for sparkle at the end of my nails, he put some hastily on, and then said that's another three dollars. I said you should have told me this before you started doing this. Then he said he wouldn't charge that this time but did a goopy terrible job. There was no professionalism, no pride in his work. I went to the dryer with my friend. I was shaking... I wanted to speak up because I've never had such a terrible experience. I told him I was unhappy but then he got into an argument with me and I kept saying it's pointless to argue about this and the customer is right. I said I really don't want to pay for this and showed him that he cut my cuticle ( the blood)... he denied he did it to me on the spot and said I walked in there with that cut. Awful! Then he said he would take off the polish now and i said forget it, i wanted to leave. Then he blocked me with his body and was going to hold me there saying he would call the police if i didn't pay him and picked up his phone. Shaking crying and so upset I was forced to pay $40 for being threatened and harassed. I left shaking, crying and will never ever ever ever return here and tell everyone please please do not give your business to this salon. read more

I will definitely be returning. I had a great pedicure. Staff was friendly and took great care of my feet. I went 3 weeks ago and my toes still look great. The foot massage and leg rub were the best. She got some sore spots out and made my feet feel so much better. The only downside is they only take appointments and they only have two technicians so far. It would be great if they were able to add a few more technicians to their team and were open on Sundays. I am sure that will come with time. I will be returning when I can find the time. Mom and I have come here several times and the service is always excellent! Their acrylics always look great, polish is always well done and neat. Their pedicures are great too, they always do a great massage and do a great job softening your feet and making them look great! They offer water and soda for free and have always made us feel comfortable! Owned by a husband/wife team he even offered to order me in a color that I like so he'd have it there for me! On time and efficient. Don't expect a nice foot and calf massage typically included in a pedi. I am most disappointed because the polish chipped off my second toenail less than 24 hours after pedi. I can't remember the last time this happened after visiting other salons (over the past for 25 years) so I suspect that the toenail surface was not cleaned with enough alcohol to adequately prepare the nail. I would go back but next time I would watch carefully to make sure the nails are swabbed carefully before polish application. read more

This is a super lovely spot to get your nails done. Everything is very clean and plexiglass is around stations to insure everyone's safety. The technicians are very hard working and the results are beautiful. They definitely go the extra mile to make sure everything is done to perfection and that you have a lovely, calming experience. Ouch, customer service over the phone....D-!! Called to order 2 gift certificates and have them mailed to me ( I live 2 hours south) No can do.... They'd have to get my name and address and phone number etc. (OH MY!!) I guess that's too time consuming. BTW, while this conversation was going on with a manager, the bumblehead did not put the phone on hold or mute the sound. I heard the whole discussion. Beyond excited to have a new nail salon here in New London! Friendly and courteous service , price point was reasonable. Salon was clean ,atmosphere was pleasant ,and my service was excellent ! I always dread the drill...but I wasn't nicked even once . :) The drill wasn't pressed so hard as to heat my nail bed either . Good salon really enjoyed my couple of pedicures my only issue with coming to coco nails is the new receptionist I didn't feel welcomed and she was very unprofessional. She was very rude and confused over the phone when I try making appointments. She was wearing headphone when I walked in and rolled her eyes at me and my daughter!! She is not someone who should be working at such a professional salon. But the last receptionist they had working welcomed me with a huge smile and was welcoming and sweet! This is the best option in the area, but that's not saying much. Have been going here on and off for a few years. It gets the job done, but there's always something minor that's wrong... nails not filed to the same length, not fully polished nails (sides unpolished), missed cuticle trimming, etc. After going here a few times in a row, my nails break more easily and are less healthy (due to the way they over file the nails when taking off gel or powder). The best thing about this place is that it's closeby to where I am which makes it convenient when I can't get to Manchester and they always have reruns of Friends playing. The owners are a husband & wife team and are nice, but they could definitely elevate several things. It's often just the two of them (especially in the off season) which makes it frustrating when they are constantly answering the phone or checking other people out while they're also doing your service so it takes 2x longer. read more

I went in once before and had a nice service for dip nails so I thought I'd try again so I booked an appointment to get a set of gel nails.I was hoping to make the switch since to their salon because they were closer to where I live. It started off well. He cleaned and trimmed my nails I told him what color I wanted then another customer came in and he said I'll just be a minute I'm doing a gel manicure which had me confused because I books for a set.... I spoke up and said I did book a manicure I booked a set of gel. He said no you didn't and that went on for a minute and I said "I don't want a manicure my nails are so sort and would look terrible even with that which is why I booked for a set of nails. He got annoyed and took my hand a little rough and cleaned them off and said we'll that will be $20 for the work I did. I was a bit put off by that but I said ok because I did sit and take some of his time. I get up and pay and I ask if I can book an appointment to do my gel set another time because this wasn't what I wanted and had paid for it, he then got upset with ( I never raised my voice nor was I rudely talking to him) he said " I don't know what you want me to say you booked a gel manicure, you told me that what you wanted when you booked it" I replied "I would never have said a gel manicure because I never get those and I never spoke to you on the phone, I spoke to a woman so you would even know what I said when I called." This entire time I've stayed calm kept respectful and I had even paid him! All I wanted was to set up another appointment for the correct thing but he was determined to tell me I was wrong and argue. When I didn't back down he said "I'll give you a refund but you can't come back here to get your gel nails" I was speechless but clarified that he meant I could no longer come back which is what he meant and I replied " Got it, don't worry I never will" and walked out. I am beyond horrified and embarrassed that he behaved that way to a costumer just so he could " be right" I'd understand maybe if I was throwing a fit in there but I didn't do that either. This happened yesterday and still can't believe it happened. So thanks coco nails for leaving a sour taste in my mouth. I would never recommend you to anyone and if your name comes up I will be sure to share this story. This nail salon is great!! Their new receptionist, however, is not. She is not friendly. She had head phones on and was eating at the front desk. She did not interact with customers at all. They always tend to rush clients and aren't very polite. I generally get dip powder manicures, and the last two I've had here are uneven, thick blobs on my fingers. Before applying it to my hands the girl had to take a spoon to dig out mystery fragments out of the powder before using it. Seemed very unhygienic. I just wanna say I have been coming here for years. YEARS. These past couple months I have had nothing but bad experiences and I am LIVID. everytime I was like "oh it's a new owner I'll Give them another chance", I was disappointed and left pissed. NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE. I'll start off with service. Unbelievably rude, they don't listen anymore. If you miss a piece of skin and I ask you to take it off you don't tell me it stays. I am paying you. This is not a do as you want basis, and that's how you don't get a tip. The new owners at this place have RUINED it. How did a pedicure and nail duo get more expensive, but you do less? This is how you run a crappy selfish business and lose cliental. They are pushing extra pedicure stuff they used to do for free for about 15$ more. Service here sucks now, and about 15 girls who I know and that I recommended to come here agree. You are sloppy and cheap now, and its infuriating as a longtime customer who PAYS for your service gets treated like I'm stupid and I've never gotten my nails done before. congratulations on ruining a great salon and making what was suppose to be our relaxing nail day, miserable for months. Horrible place. I made an appointment to have a pedicure. Showed up on time and he started my pedi. Another woman walked in who apparently had an appointment at the same time as mine (he obviously forgot to write it down). He went over and talked to her and she sat in one of the massage chairs. He came back to me and continued. I told him I wanted a deluxe pedi. He then told me he didn't have time and that I should have told them that when I made the appointment. Really?? He finished up my pedi in 25 minutes. No massage or anything. The polish was red and it was all over my cuticles when he was done and I don't think he put on a top coat. I guess he was going to make more money off the other woman. I will not be going back here. read more
