Everytime I come here they're so welcoming and nice. Went here tonight and decided to get a dip set, I've never got one before so I didn't know what to expect. About 6 months ago I started coming to Solar Nails after visiting many other salons only to be met with disappointing results. All the staff at Solar nails are extremely friendly and professional, no matter which staff member worked on my nails they always came out great! I have tried dip, acrylic and the new gel nail that they started doing. Its a technique that starts with clear tips that do not have to have any other dip or acrylic added on top! Makes the nail feel very natural without any thickness to them. Both my daughter and I went together today, both having great experiences. I would highly suggest visiting the gang at Solar nails, they are now my go to nail salon! read more

Wasn't happy the first time I visited 2 years ago, figured I would give it another try as other salons were busy and I wasn't really pleased with them over the years. Nothing has changed here, in and out within less than 20 minutes for a pedicure that costs $35 plus a tip. When I got home to look at my nails I found she half painted my pinky toe and the large toe on same foot had clumps of black "something" on it! Won't go back! read more

Awful experience. I went in for a gel manicure and told the woman I wanted rounded tips not square. She filed my nails square and I asked her to fix it. She went over and over my nails quite roughly - it was painful as she filed my finger tips too! After the fourth round, I was horrified to see my nails significantly reduced in size and horribly uneven and even jagged on one nail! She filed one section of one nail down so much it will take awhile to grow out! At that point, I stood up and said enough, no more. The other woman apologized and offered to fix it but I said no and left without a manicure. Very disappointing. I do NOT recommend Solar Nails. read more

The sloppiest gel manicure. First, somehow he filed off any length I had grown during my previous manicure (somewhere else), I said I wanted to grow my nails long, he didn't seem to understand me. My nails have polish up on my skin, my thumbnail is uneven in shape, all are shorter than I wanted. Really looks like I did it myself. Probably just this one technician (the guy at the far end of the salon, didn't get a name, he didn't speak to me at all). I could give this salon another chance as probably just a bad technician but what kind of salon has someone preforming such terrible manicures? Luckily, it's just nails and $25, not life threatening, just very frustrating. I'll try somewhere else. read more

I have been going to this nail place for years! I absolutely love the owners and the service they provide. My nails look great every time!! I have gone to a few other local nail places and they are rude and dont do as good as a job as solar nails. Kelly (one of the owners) is amazing and can do pretty much any design. I have loved this place since I started going at 17yrs old. I'm now almost 28yrs old and still going to this amazing nail place. read more

I go to see Kelly and Kevin every two weeks. I am greeted with a warm smile and lots of laughs. Not only is the quality of Kelly's work is on point but the community they have created in their salon is warm and welcoming. Since they have taken over the salon, it has been nothing short of an amazing experience each and every time I walk through the door. People travel an hour just for the atmosphere! I've been coming to #1 Solar Nails since they opened. This is a family owned and operated salon. I have tried most of the techs but have learned to request Kim(the owner) or Nina only as I am picky. I do not ever make an appointment as my work schedule is always changing and have never had an Excessive wait (30mins tops) which I feel is more than worth it for such a busy shop. They filed almost through the 2 nails I needed repaired. So badly that it burned when They put the pre acrylic polish stuff on. I'm from Manchester and I really wish I had waited till I got home for my repairs!! This will take 2 months 2 grow out underneath. Horrible and painful.. read more

I would not have even walked in the door of this salon had it not been recommended to me. The only term that comes to mind for this place is "mish-mosh." It's a nail salon but there is a hairdressing corner. There's an atm & vending machine. The stations don't match. It's the oddest assembly of staff. When I went to pick a color, I was greeted with a vast wall of homemade wood shelves containing what must have been 500 bottles of polish, all different brands, in NO semblance of order. Not grouped in any way, just totally haphazard. I was not offered any type of spa service but was given a quick, perfunctory pedicure. The polish was applied incorrectly and overlapped onto the cuticles which was not fixed. The two things I will say for the shop is everyone was polite and it seemed like the equipment was all individually packaged to be sanitary. I would not return or recommend. read more

My daughter and I went in. Appt for 2 pm but I wasn't seated until 2:30, no biggie. Ladies were very nice and they did a fantastic job. Only issue was they tried to give me a hassle when I used debit to pay...she said she would take a card this time but cash next. She asked me at one point to go to the ATM and come back. I feel like it's pretty rude and inconvenient to ask a cust to leave and come back when they said they accept cards. Really turned me off to the place. read more

The guy burnt all my fingers. I asked about 5 times for pointed acrylics and none of them were made evenly. Then when I showed a simply picture of what I wanted the lady told me no because she didn't think it looked good. Then she started to add black on my peach nails ( for a wedding I was in!!!!) When i specifically said NO. not impressed. A waste of $90... oh and they charged my sister $65 just doe a pedicure.. I just left here from having a pedicure. I've just begun my 9th month of pregnancy and have a job where I'm on my feet 10 hour shifts. I came to get a pedicure because not many things sound better to a pregnant woman than having your feet rubbed. This was the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. An elderly gentleman performed my service. I did not receive the exfoliating scrub that is a standard part of the pedicure, nor did my cuticles get cut. The bottoms of my feet were not buffed and there was no massage for my swollen feet whatsoever!!! The whole reason I went! I sat next to a woman to was having the exact same service and when I was finished with my entire pedicure, she was still on the massage part. I heard a woman who's pedicure was prior to mine say "that's it, you're all done?" to the same guy that did my feet. I should've known then... read more

The original owner sold the business back in June this past summer. I just loved the previous owner and would only see her by appointment since the shop was always extremely busy. I would always see someone I knew there. It was always fun coming into the shop which made it something to look forward to. With the new owners it's very quiet, unfriendly, prices have gone up and with my most recent visit for manicure/pedicure my cuticle was bleeding because it was trimmed too deep. Also, my big left toe nail feels very sore and tender. I'm very disappointed and discouraged as I really wanted to give the new owner a chance since I have been coming here for over 15 years. read more
