Coco Cafe is such an odd coffee shop/sushi restaurant hybrid, but they are making some delicious food. Everything tasted really yummy and was thoroughly enjoyed. NB: My husband thought that the raw fish was "fishy" - I didn't share that thought. I love that the rice is infused with blackberries! My mother-in-law didn't like this fact, so maybe it's to each his own. I would go back in a heartbeat, but possibly for take out only since seating is limited and rather crowded for the space. Coco cafe is a gem. The first time I walked in, I wasn't sure what to expect. However this little place delivers some of the best sushi I've ever had. Their signature is the blackberry rice, which sounds odd, but works surprisingly well. Tip: this place gets busy, so call ahead with your order or you'll be waiting a while. read more

My favourite sushi in Chilliwack. This place is not as popular as some others (I believe because of location), but just wait until you try the sushi! They use blueberry infused purple rice and very fresh ingredients. They have a wide variety of rolls that no other Japanese place in Chilliwack has, but guess what else? They are the lowest priced sushi in the whole city! I've eaten at all 20 sushi joints here and I can honestly say this place is the best food and best priced that you'll find. Plus they have a cafe so you can order coffee (even fancy drinks like Starbucks but much cheaper) and enjoy with your sushi. Only downside is that I find they take a long time to prepare the food and drinks, so if you're in a rush I wouldn't suggest grabbing food here first. read more

This is the best sushi rolls in the Fraser Valley, and trust me I have tried them all. I have a very trained palate and thus have left many mediocre to horrible reviews for many of sushi places. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the sushi restaurants are owned and operated by Koreans who are untrained in the ART of sushi making and merely roll up rice with stuff to make money. Albeit a Korean owner and operator, this guy knows his stuff!! Super fresh ingredients, meticulously cooked rice that has been infused with blackberry which adds a perfect sweetness to the salty soy sauce and spicy wasabi. Also this is family ran. The coffee thing is only there because they purchased a HORRIBLE coffee business and decided to try it out for a bit. Support these people. It is well priced, super tasty and a gem that will not remain hidden! read more

By far my favourite sushi place in chilliwack. It's a family owned restaurant, excellent staff the couple that owns it are very nice. The prices are great and the sushi you get is amazing every time. They are always busy and there's definitely a reason why! read more

The ambiance of the place was a little unusual for a Sushi place but then again you would not even really know by the name CoCo Cafe that they serve sushi. Loved the blackberry infused rice but unfortunately all I could taste was the mayonnaise. There was just far too much mayo for my palate to be able to enjoy any of the other flavors coming through. I guess for the price it was satisfactory but I would not race to go there again. read more

Coco Cafe & Sushi is one of my favorite spots in the "Hood." The Kin family, (owners) are some of the friendliest people you could ever meet. It's a great place to take in a good conversation, an excellent coffee, a cup of soothing herbal tea or any of the great menu items they make daily. You'll always find a flavored coffee as a choice other than their regular blend, and if it's flavors you like, you can find them here too. The food is hand crafted by the Kins and always served up with a friendly smile. They have a great assortment of baked goods, (oh man) a nice assortment of lunch items and goodies that range from quiche to wraps to sushi. I can attest to the fact the sushi is fresh and very tasty. (the blackberry rice is a nice touch) Check out their takeout trays. The portions and pricing are right on the mark and I think you'd be hard pressed to beat them. You can tell there is pride in what they do here. I am always impressed when the place I walk into is as clean as this. It's a bright and airy place with music usually playing softly in the background. It boasts a wonderful small patio that runs along the front of the building and affords a few comfortable seating areas that are just right on a summer day. I believe the patio is always in the shade. If you're headed out to do a little fishing on the Vedder, stop in for a bite or a coffee to go. (it'll be quicker than Tim's place) Good coffee, great food and fantastic people. What more could you ask for? read more

I love this place. Ken and his wife (owner/operators) make a number of fantastic sushi lunch combos in the $6.50-7.50 range. It's a weekly stop for me and ken will take my order via phone and have it ready for me in ten minutes. I teach across the road and have even treated students to their first tastes of sushi here! read more
