The place had four tables being used, very slow relatively. They tried to seat us by the dirt, even though most all of the other tables were empty, so I asked to be seated closer to their station, up front by the cook. Table was clean and the benches are comfy. We waited about five minutes to have our order taken, ten more minutes to get our tea and miso soup. Then we watched dozens of skip the dishes and pick up orders, mostly skip the dishes, being filled and taken. We waited almost 50 minutes to get our four sushi rolls. Fifty minutes, while a dozen skip orders went out the door. When our food came, it seemed like it was made quickly, without care. This business needs to sit down and consider its business model. They received zero tip from us tonight, which I never, ever do. We didn't even get plates to put our sushi on, nor did anyone come by to ask us how it was, or if we needed anything, then we had to go get her to have a box for our leftovers and again to get her to bring the bill. In total we spent an hour and forty five minutes in that restaurant to eat four sushi rolls and a bowl of mediocre miso soup. No, never again. Vote with your dollars folks. read more

I like going to Sushi TE. This is not the best Japanese restaurant, but they do have a selection of good food besides sushi. The sushi they serve maintains the balance of flavour between the fermented rice and the edible contents. I also had their alternative choices, such as the beef don, chicken Katsu and Tofu Teriyaki; all of which I find exceptionally good. I very much like the interior design of the restaurant, especially the wooden doors you enter through. This gives more of an oriental feel than any other Japanese restaurant in Mission or Abbotsford. The service was alright, but it could be better in terms of time. Other than that, I would recommend this restaurant to those that love sushi. read more

Sadly we had a negative experience with our take out orders. We ordered the tofu teriyaki, beef teriyaki and avocado roll with soy paper. The roll was great, and very refreshing. We would for sure order again and recommend to anyone interested. Although our main dishes of teriyaki was cold. The stir fried vegetables were cold when we went to eat them at home. This was after we had picked up accordingly to their suggested time. Sadly I had ordered the tofu of my teriyaki on the side, to avoid it becoming soggy due to the sauce and trapped steam with the box. But to my unpleasant surprise they had put all of the teriyaki sauce on the tofu rather than the stir fried vegetables. This make the teriyaki vegetables unquestionably dry, and the tofu soggy. If we are to ever order take out again, we will need to specify where the sauce is to go. I recommend eating in than ordering out, and our take out was not as we had hoped. read more

Only 3 other tables of people dining in but the stream of people coming in for take-out was steady. My shrimp Sunomono was perfect. I wanted to try some different rolls so I order a Spicy Crispy Roll and an Onamite (spelling?) roll which was very tasty. My wife had the teriyaki chicken. The serving size was more than she could eat so I helped. The chicken could have been better if the meat had been marinated rather than relying on just the teriyaki sauce on top. Very filling! Came here about two weeks ago for lunch. Just happened to be in the area and hungry. Found it on Yelp as its one of the higher rated sushi restaurants in the area. Had the lunch sashimi for $8.50 which was literally about 3 slices each of moderately sized salmon and tuna. Definitely not worth the price and you would need to order more food if you ordered this. Don't be fooled like I was thinking its a "lunch combo" and would fill you up. As a result, I also got the spicy mountain roll $11.99. Almost thought I got the wrong roll as it looks nothing like the picture on the menu. It contains salmon and spicy tuna. It was not bad as a special roll. It's a decent looking restaurant. Parking is available out front. But I think they may be lacking in staff. A number of tables were just left uncleared with dirty dishes. You also have to go up to pay. Not sure how it compares to other sushi restaurants are in the area. But compared to Metro Vancouver, it was an average experience, at best. Don't think I'll be back unfortunately. read more

Oh my gosh. It was out of sheer desperation we went here again. The place wasn't terribly busy but had a few people in. We ordered tea as the beverage and it was less than cool warm. How could that be? When we got the replacement tea it was only marginally warmer. The entire staff disengaged with the exception of the non Asian waitress who quickly took out order and left the building.. All the employees in the back including cooks looked terribly unhappy. Nobody smiled at anyone. Portions small and very expensive compared to way things were before. I guess we shouldn't complain because this is Mission where most residents and diners have impaired taste buds probably to do with all the heavy drinking and smoking habits. I honestly believe they wouldn't know good service and quality unless they typically dine in Vancouver or Richmond. read more

First time to try sushi in mission . The ambience of the restaurant is too dark and not very welcoming . I think it needs a face lift. I eat sashimi a lot so I know the prices and freshness of the sashimi by heart. It's $2 more expensive than average 8 pcs sashimi and the rolls overall are also pricier than what I would get in Coquitlam. The sashimi sizes are decent and the sashimi didn't taste too fresh for me. The special rolls are mediocre nothing special. We got the spicy mountain and crispy cream roll. I wasn't a fan of the cream /cheese on the cream roll the flavors didn't blend too well for me and the spicy tuna on the other roll was not spicy at all and the crab meat tasted dry and bland. I don't think I'll come back. I need to look further for a decent place for sushi around mission area. read more

Never ordering from here again! I told them I had a sesame allergy so absolutely no sesame on my sushi. However when I brought my food home and started eating it, I immediately had an allergic reaction. Turns out they must've sprinkled the sesame on there and then picked it off. read more

This place is one of the better sushi places in mission, although sometimes the service can be slow the sushi is very good, the lunch boxes are a good value for what you get and the gyozas are always a staple for me when I go for sushi here! I used to come here a lot. Until today. I purchased two dinner boxes to go with the Salmon and sat down to wait. While I was there for about only 3 minutes the waitress approaches to tell me I still owe 6$ on my order as they have recently increased the price of the salmon dinner box. I said "oh, can you change it to the chicken?" as I did not want to spend a total of $48 including a tip for a quick meal on a Wednesday night. She came back and said "no I am sorry they have already started to make the salmon". So basically she forced me to pay $6 more on her mistake FORCED. I could have made a stink but thats not my style. Typically I am pretty forgiving and easy going but this had my blood boiling and I WILL NOT BE BACK. The lack of customer service Especially for an obvious returning customer is something I cannot tolerate. Very disappointed. read more

Surprised at all the bad reviews about the priciness of the food. We ordered a dinner set, which came with generous portions of food (particularly finger-thick slices of sashimi), great tasting and fresh tempura, a tempura and teriyaki set which came with a whole sizzling plate worth of teriyaki, and a nigiri set which was really value for money. Ok, I don't live in Mission, but visit often and this is not the 1st time I have eaten here. Both times the service and the food was for me, on point. A friend and I went for dinner, she suggested the "Love Boat" as it had some of everything and boy was I glad I listened. It was funny, they just kept brining food, so much selection. If I could give less stars I would. Worst service in my life. Was greeted when I came in but sat for 10 mins without anyone approaching me to even give me a menu. I finally stood up to look at a Togo menu and when they still didn't get the hint I left. There were only 3 customers inside. Also it smells like second hand cigarette smoke! From the warm welcome once you step though the door to the waitresses and sushi chefs, this place is awesome. Food is fine. Service is NOT. Came in for a late lunch at 1:30. My husband was served his meal, and after 20 minutes of watching the staff fill takeout orders for people that had come into the restaurant after my order was placed, mine was served. Last few times we have been there, the service has not been great...we have had to wait a long time for our food, or our food comes at different times (my husband will be done eating when I get my food, and then he has to wait for me to eat). They have been understaffed, with the tables left dirty and the wait time for food being approx. 45 minutes to one hour. The quality of the food is starting to slide as well. I actually wont go here anymore since my friend told me they got a bandaid in their food. My sushi was edible from here but not great..the people that eat here and enjoy it must be high. Like its not terrible but.. I would compare it to the premade stuff at the supermarket - not fresh.
