    Spicy mountain roll
    Pat D.

Came here about two weeks ago for lunch. Just happened to be in the area and hungry. Found it on Yelp as its one of the higher rated sushi restaurants in the area. Had the lunch sashimi for $8.50 which was literally about 3 slices each of moderately sized salmon and tuna. Definitely not worth the price and you would need to order more food if you ordered this. Don't be fooled like I was thinking its a "lunch combo" and would fill you up. As a result, I also got the spicy mountain roll $11.99. Almost thought I got the wrong roll as it looks nothing like the picture on the menu. It contains salmon and spicy tuna. It was not bad as a special roll. It's a decent looking restaurant. Parking is available out front. But I think they may be lacking in staff. A number of tables were just left uncleared with dirty dishes. You also have to go up to pay. Not sure how it compares to other sushi restaurants are in the area. But compared to Metro Vancouver, it was an average experience, at best. Don't think I'll be back unfortunately.

First time to try sushi in mission . The ambience of the restaurant is too dark and not very welcoming . I think it needs a face lift. I eat sashimi a lot so I know the prices and freshness of the sashimi by heart. It's $2 more expensive than average 8 pcs sashimi and the rolls overall are also pricier than what I would get in Coquitlam. The sashimi sizes are decent and the sashimi didn't taste too fresh for me. The special rolls are mediocre nothing special. We got the spicy mountain and crispy cream roll. I wasn't a fan of the cream /cheese on the cream roll the flavors didn't blend too well for me and the spicy tuna on the other roll was not spicy at all and the crab meat tasted dry and bland. I don't think I'll come back. I need to look further for a decent place for sushi around mission area.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in mission. We like the big booths, the consistently good sushi and attentive staff.

I like going to Sushi Junction. It does not have the best sushi, but the food was still great…read more I had the Unagi Roll and the Tofu Teriyaki. The roll was good with all the ingredients in it complimenting the overall food. The Tofu Teriyaki was satisfactory, though I wish the pieces of tofu were in smaller pieces, so i would not cut them into smaller pieces with chopsticks. I liked the teriyaki sauce, and the vegetables were good as well. I like the Japanese-theme interior of the establishment with Shoji blinds and the Japanese portraits. I will definitely be coming back there again.

It's…read moresad that within 7 months of reviews on google their "cleanliness lacks" and customer service. So I probably will not order take out again nor do I recommend this place. This is what we ordered: * 2 Alaska Rolls * Beef Teriyaki Roll * 2 Ebi Rolls * 2 Tuna rolls * Negitoro roll The Alaska rolls were the best out of all the rolls, it's a cali roll with a small sashimi salmon on top with spicy sauce, they were a solid 3/5. Nothing to special. Beef teriyaki roll was really bad, all meat but the meat was so dry and usually there's cucumber and avocado with these rolls but the meat ratio felt like eating a huge mouth full of dry meat and rice... even if you dipped it in soy sauce. They definitely pre make that meat and reheat to roll. The ebi roll ratio for shrimp was 25%-50% shrimp to rice ratio, the portion for the sushi was not worth $5 per roll. The tuna and even the toro was nothing special. Overall, do not recommend. Don't waste your money. $60 you can get better quality for less and just get pick up from Young's Kitchen on stave.

They can be as busy place, and had no seating for dining in since Covid, just takeout, but they have put some tables and chairs back into the restaurant. I ordered the Tofu Teriyaki Donburi with an order of their Boston Sushi Roll. The donburi was very good; the breaded tofu tasted light yet piquant. Everything else in the donburi was great. The sushi roll was delicious, sensing that balance of flavour that good sushi should have. The service was greater than great. They said they would have my food finished by quarter after 7, however I received it more than 15 minutes before the expected time. I was also asked for water or tea by the waitress when I was waiting there. My only complaint about the restaurant is that the space was pretty small and the interior look was pretty basic. Overall, this restaurant is not just great of convenience, but for great food and service as well. I will definitely be coming back to Young's for more.

I tip even when I pick up. Tonight, I'm putting in my order online, which I have done for years and years, at precisely 8:20 pm, and as usual I pick up about 8:45, as has been my mode for years. But tonight - my order is canceled at 8:23 pm as I get a notification "Restaurant is closed". It's Thursday, Jan 8th. Online says they are open until 9pm. I call to make sure it's not a weird holiday, and they answer. Yes - they are open until 9. But they stop taking orders at 8:30. I explain to them that's it is not even 8:30 Now , as we are speaking - and my online order was canceled. The young person on the phone says, 'that's just how it is. But give me your order now over the phone'. Am I wrong to be frustrated that I had already spent 10 mins online choosing from the menu and inputting my choices into the checkout.. another $100 dollar order, to be told to repeat this process while they are 1) still open during the window of receiving orders (before 8:30, tho this news to me), and 2) no apologies, just a reprimand on a policy that hasn't even taken effect at 8:20pm. Not an outrageous order, not a lot - just spendy things. I've always gotten my order in 20 mins, so they would still be open. Anyway - i told her - no - I won't be placing an order over the phone I already spent 10 mins making online and am in checkout. I'm sure this kid doesn't have the ability to fathom someone spending 20k at a restaurant, but I'm sure the managers/owners do. Simple math. Get your policies straight. Fix your online system. Do these things quickly. Your competitor with the same hours are more than happy to take orders at 8:20. Cheam Sushi has had some 'fishy' sushi etc once or twice, but 99.9% of the time they are out of this world, hence my loyalty and hard earned $$$. I would like an explanation why the online system is bouncing back orders at 8:20. I'm frustrated because I was truly looking forward to them tonight, my 1st order of 2026. Not a good start.
