Options were limited for boba teas but the service was good. Ambiance was friendly and pretty easy.

Cocomero is a fruit and yogurt shop right of the main quad at the University of Illinois. They serve frozen yogurt, teas, smoothies, and much more. This is a very popular spot. My husband and I got a mango smoothie to share. We could taste the fresh high quality ingredients. This seems like a great hangout place with your friends or a nice place to study away from your dorm.

Really good froyo!!! Quick and easy service It's quite small with good energy and the ambience here is nice. Very likable place!

The picture of the coffee where i was mistreated and felt watched

One of the stuff had racially motivated behavior towards me. First he said we don't accept cash, then he said don't wait in line we don't accept card and I have to use the order device or the app. I've vision disability so that's not a good option for me. Although I've ordered coffee there before and paid with cash and card and wasn't asked to use the device to order before. I'd my Afro hair pretty good it attracted him I guess and made him keep an eye on me watching me and keep bothering me telling me what to do where to order and stuff while there were bunch of other people in line and he didn't ask any of them.

I love Cocomero so much it is a classic froyo place with all the best options for toppings. They have something for everyone, if u like sweet, fruity, salty, they have everything! The frozen yogurt tastes so good and fresh (so much better than dining hall ice cream). I ate mine up it was actually perfect. And the window seats upstairs are perfect for watching campus life. I love going here with friends and i look forward to my future cocomero outings!

This is As good as I remember it from 6 years ago. I liked the simplicity of the froyo options and it is cheap. Quality- I got the green tea and taro flavored froyo. The green tea flavoring is great and you can taste it but I thought the tarp could have been brought forth more. It was pretty tasteless. Quantity- 65 cents for each ounce is ok for froyo. There are cheaper places around for ice cream and yogurt. Price- see above Atmosphere- this is what sells it. I like the coffee shop atmosphere and sitting upstairs while studying is nice. Service- good service. It is self serve.

I grabbed an iced Americano and sat on the second floor this Sunday afternoon. The beverage was okay, and the decoration made it cozy for studying. However, it was noisy afterward because more and more people went in, sitting around tables and chatting loudly. The music was loud as well, which made it hard to continue to focus on my work, even though I was wearing noise-canceling headphones. Maybe this place would be better for studying during the holidays!

A great place to catch up with some friends, while also having some great cold drink. Anytime I go yo Cocomero, I get the strawberry and banana smoothie. It is usually sweeter then what I would like my smoothie to taste like, however, it's still a good smoothie overall. They also serve frozen yogurt(plus the toppings) here, and have a lot of seating. Whether that be for hanging with friends, or trying to find a niche place to get some studying in.

Great service and prices but drink tasted a bit too powdery for my liking. The place is clean and quiet enough to study or do homework!

Chocolate and green tea yogurt with all my favorite toppings I got a 10% off with a receipt from another Korean restaurant. Cost me $9 with discount

It's self-serve frozen yogurt. Is this a new concept to you? If so, welcome to America! It loses a star for not handing out tiny cups to sample the flavors. The guy at the counter said the U of I students tend to abuse the privilege. So thanks, Thieving Illini! Toppings were fresh and the yogurt was tasty. It was also cool that it has a second floor, so you can climb the stairs to look out toward campus.

I even started coming more often after Dutch Brothers opened down the street because I wanted to offset the possibility of small business loss. This place has meant that much to me. What has set Paradiso apart from other coffee spots in town has always been the vibe; serving up a warm and welcoming spot to enjoy your drink and hang for a few. Up until recently the staff have always been friendly and attentive. Things have been going downhill for a couple months, but the last few weeks have been particularly egregious. A majority of the friendly and familiar faces that made this place so beloved have been replaced in recent weeks with rude and indifferent staff members. Recently I've had a half dozen instances of drinks made incorrectly (nothing fancy, just steamed milk and tea), or having to repeatedly ask for food I ordered, etc. and then being treated like I'm an imposition for asking to correct the issue. Many of the staff seem to pick and choose who they're polite to, to the point that I no longer feel personally welcome. I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Plus, you could get them in a swirl or just as two flavors in a dish. I immediately decided that I wanted the Hojicha and Ube pairing. My son got the Matcha and Ube combo. Both were good. However, a few weeks ago, (6/6/26) I had a disappointing experience with a staff member there while picking up an online cake order. On the day of cake pick up, I was done with errands at around 10am, I called the bakery to ask if it was possible to pickup the cake early. The girl on the phone sounded very annoyed with my request (I was just asking, they could have said no) and told me they don't do pickups until noon but I can still come in. So I get there and she immediately starts treating me like I was a huge inconvenience. As she's handing me the cake, she pulls out a receipt and started scolding me that pickups don't start until noon and it's right there on the website. I showed her my email receipt confirming 10:30am pickup and how there's literally two different sections with different times on their website so i was obviously confused. but she ignored my explanation and continued chastising me for the misunderstanding of the pickup times. I just let it go as I didn't want to argue but I left feeling very upset. I think management/owners dropped the ball on training staff on how handle these types of situations with professionalism and not immediately placing blame on the customer. I tried my best to smile and be friendly to her but she was starting to become defensive. There was no accountability for the user interface of their website. She made sure to make it known that it was my mistake alone. I have not decided whether I will continue to support this establishment but I won't be back for awhile.
