I've tried all the cookie places, insomnia, cookies, crave cookies, Crumbl cookies, and Insomnia is by far the best. Some of the other cookie places the cookies are way too sweet and if you like that, then great but I don't like such a sweet Cookie. That's why I stick with insomnia cookies. They just need to open a place closer to the suburbs outside of Chicago like in Orland Park, Tinley Park. They also have a very good variety of cookies and if you order online when you get there, they will be warm and gooey. read more

I love stepping into this store because the smell is absolutely heavenly! One of my favorite smells ever is the smell of baking cookies. This is a small location, but it's perfect for dropping by to pick up cookies or ice cream. I suggest ordering online because you don't have to wait and they offer curbside pickup. I haven't tried delivery though but know that that is an option to get your cookies as well. I ordered a birthday cookie cake from here, and the value is so good! You can customize what kind of cookie will be the base and also your frosting. Best part, you get it warm! Staff is friendly and great! read more

The cookies are good. But my niece got ice cream and it tasted freezer burned. We asked for refund, The employee said there is nothing she can do there is nothing wrong with the ice cream. We said it's freezer burned in which she replied, well there's nothing I can do about that. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered a "Happy Birthday" cookie cake. What was delivered was a blank cake. When I called to report the error, I was told they could not give me a refund and the earliest they could remake the cake was in an hour and a half. I was RUDELY told to call their customer service number. After waiting and waiting for someone to pick up the customer service line, I was told they would only give me a 30% refund. Seriously? I am not returning 30% of the cake, they did not deliver what was ordered! When you order a birthday cake it is equally about the presentation of the "Happy Birthday" and decor. I will never order from the Champaign store due to rudeness of the staff working the phones. I also will never order from Insomnia again at any of their locations. They don't seem to care if you get what you ordered. read more

We waited 3 hours to get cookies. First was sent to the wrong house, okay whatever so we called and told them and they said they'd send it out again to us. Another hour goes by and nothing so we call again. Told they were en route. Yet another hour goes by (we live 9-10 minutes away) with nothing so we call again being assured that they are on their way. Almost ANOTHER hour goes by, and still nothing so my boyfriend called on his phone and we were told again they are en route. They finally came..but didn't have my milk..so I'm waiting for milk to be brought now. screenshots of call times from my phone and a pic of receipt showing time we ordered and time we actually got them. We have never had an issue before so this was ridiculous :( Update- did end up getting my milk too and we have two things where we spend $6 and get 6pack for free..if we even use them again though read more

The cookies are always so fresh and delicious. I take my daughter here weekly and we are so in love with place. The staff are always nice to us and sometimes give us free cookies which is always appreciated. Although the store is very small and you cannot eat there, its still nice and smells so good. read more

Restaurant review So expensive yet so good. If you want cookies that taste fresh from the oven, this is the one stop shop for all your cookie needs. I have ordered from them for delivery before when I was a college student. They make great gifts for your girlfriend or significant other as well. On a recent dinner trip we stopped in for a quick dessert and was not disappointed. My son wanted to the eat the menu display for their cookies. You really can't go wrong for any of the cookies, but we ended up with the 6 pack for 8 bucks. The double chocolate chunk is amazing given the amount of chocolate flavor along with the warmth causing the chocolate chunks to simply melt away when you take a bite. I wish they would make larger size cookies because you can down a cookie in 2-3 bites. Insomnia Cookies is wonderful. I have been seeing a lot bad reviews specifically about deliveries and let me just say, as someone who has ordered cookies from Insomnia Cookies for years, as well as knowing the regional manager and shift leads at the store, 95% of the issues with Insomnia Cookie deliveries is customer error. Many of these people who have left negative reviews probably forgot to mention that they provided the wrong address or phone number for the delivery, also I have heard many stories from the drivers at Insomnia Cookies that they will attempt to make a delivery but the person who ordered doesn't answer their phone or the door bell, forcing the driver to have to go back to the store only to get a call from an angry customer saying they never got their delivery. Insomnia Cookies is a delicious and wonderful place. It is heaven on my taste buds. Don't let a few bad reviews scare you away, as most of the people leaving bad reviews are at fault and not Insomnia Cookies. read more

What's not to love? Warm cookies at all hours of the day and night!! Granted, they're not gourmet style, but they're sweet, delicious, and oh so yummy. You'll find Insomnia Cookies in plenty of college towns and the concept is rather fabulous, if you ask me. When I was in Champagne for a 10K, friends and I found Insomnia as we were walking around, so we headed inside to check out the hype. They had lots of classic and not so classic cookies to choose from, so we picked a lemon, sugar, double chocolate, and snickerdoodle to all share. Being a lemon girl, I loved the light and tart flavor the lemon cookie packed. The double chocolate was a little bitter for me, but my friends liked it. The snickerdoodle and sugar cookie were both pretty standard, which is good when it comes to cookies. Are you going to have a mind-blowing sweet treat experience at Insomnia? Probably not. But you're definitely going to enjoy a yummy cookie or two, regardless of day or night. read more

So I'm a big fan of insomnia cookies and been frequenting many of their locations in different cities. One late night adventure, led me up there to this location. And I was a bit disappointed, I visited the store around 9:30 pm and they had ran out of most cookies. From what I recall they had a total of like 3 or 4 options that weren't the common ones at all. I was very disappointed by that but then even the cookies they had, they took forever to bring out the order which seems very inefficient. I would give them another chance based on their name and their reputation in other cities, but I was disappointed by this location read more

I only ordered an ice cream sundae. The delivery took more than hour and the ice cream was melted and warm. When we asked the delivery guy what took him so long he just walked away very rudely. Never again!! Especially when they charge $3.00 delivery fee* $2 tips and one very small ice cream ends up being like $12. read more

I stopped in for some cookies when I was looking for something to do in Champaign on a monday night. I had actually seen this place while eating lunch at Fat Sandwich (2 doors down) and looked it up on Yelp. I was slightly discouraged with the negative reviews, but if you look closely, most of the complaints and low ratings are from people who were dissapointed with the delivery aspect. I didn't get delivery, I went in to the retail store. Anyway, it was after 9PM and nothing else in the Dessert category was open. The store is quite small; there's just enough room for about 5 people to stand and place orders There is a weird drop off in the floor, right inside the door. There is a sign on the door saying "WATCH YOUR STEP". The guy behind the counter warned the girls who ordered ahead of me to be careful on the way out. He offered me the same advice. I asked if a lot of people fall down there. He said "about 90%"! One of the girls on line ahead of me ordered the raw cookie dough. The guy behind the counter warned her that he was not really supposed to sell it, and that raw dough could make her sick. I guess that's true, I just thought it was a weird conversation... I got my cookies to go. I would have gotten milk, but I could see that the only had two bottles in the fridge, and both were chocolate milk. So I stopped at a gas station on the way home for some 2%. I got one chocolate chip (an easy way to guage a cookie place is by their CCC's) and one snickerdoodle. They were $1 each (no tax). The CCC was good.. maybe even a little better than good, but I surprised myself by enjoying the snickerdoodle more! The CCC was a little greasy, but certianly very good. Parking in this area can be difficult (as in most of Champaign). Anyway, I would go to Insomnia Cookies again. Sometimes I think that I actually have insomnia which means this is a great establishment for someone like me who is a night owl. It's open till 3:00am for those who have a hankering for some sweet cookies. They bake them fresh but they cost $1.35 a piece. The cookies are amazingly tasty. They're just not worth the 1+ hour I had to wait to receive them. I called the store after about an hour to check on the status of the delivery. The lady told me they were waiting for a driver. I.C. should consider texting updates when the delivery is going to be super delayed like this, which I thought they were going to do anyway. Holy yum...melt in your mouth cookies and some ice cream! My favorite dessert combination. The deluxe cookies are gigantic but worth every bite. I got the peanut butter chocolate chip deluxe cookie a la mode with birthday treat ice cream. The birthday treat ice cream went well with the rich cookie because it wasn't chocolatey, but I would have liked to try the strawberry ice cream with it. Pros: -You can order ahead for later delivery! -They are so yummy and gooey! -Chocolate chunk and snicker doodle are amazing! -SO said peanut butter and oatmeal raisin were delicious! -Delivered still warm! -Website was super easy to navigate. I ordered a box of cookies from the Champaign store, to be delivered to my daughter. I put West John instead of East John. She got a notice that she was getting a delivery, but we realized my mistake. I called the store and explained what I did and found out the cookies were delivered to East John. The guy at Insomnia was awesome - he offered to redo the order and deliver it! He did not have to do that as it was my error, but I really appreciate the gesture! It is with a heavy heart I have to leave this review. I love these cookies *chefs kiss* However- I placed an online order at 7:41 pm. The expected delivery was 8:10-8:20. Its the night before the election so I assumed I wasn't the only one eating my feelings tonight so I waited until 9:10 to call and inquire about my delivery. The following conversation happened: Me: *explains above scenario* Girl: why did you wait 3 hours to call? Placed an order through a thirdparty delivery app that said it closed in more than half an hour so i figured i would get my order before they closed. I left clear instructions for the driver, leave it at back gate and call my number when the food arrives. Nearly an hour goes by. 30 minutes past the time it said it should arrive. We call and they say "drivers on the way" so i was like "okay its fine". Another 30 minutes, no call, not even a text. I check the back gate, no food. I decided to check my front porch and there it was! COVERED IN ANTS because i was NEVER contacted by the driver. We spent so long on the phone figuring out how to get a refund going back and forth with different customer service employees. Didn't even get to eat my food because of the bugs. Recently I've had a half dozen instances of drinks made incorrectly (nothing fancy, just steamed milk and tea), or having to repeatedly ask for food I ordered, etc. and then being treated like I'm an imposition for asking to correct the issue. Many of the staff seem to pick and choose who they're polite to, to the point that I no longer feel personally welcome. I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

At first, I thought it was a one-off. Surely I caught them at a bad time. Unfortunately, my family enjoys ice cream cake for their birthdays. This week, as I attempted to order a cake, a woman who claimed to be the owner coldly shut me down. Look, I get it if you're not in a position to make a cake. It's only a cake and truly a first-world problem. What I take exception to is the way this owner/employee (?) behaved. We live in an angry world. There is zero reason to add to the ugliness -- in an ice cream store, of all places. The family has been informed that we're moving on from Baskin Robbins (again, a first-world problem). There is simply no reason to purposefully expose ourselves to rude behavior. Somewhere along the way, I got the impression that this location is independently owned. What a terribly foolish way to build a business.
