A slight pivot... This Kahala Mall locations shop has been one of the last location to carry slippers and though they've always have these cute and customizable decor items it seems like they've gone fully into this direction and what a lovely change it is. Once carrying unique footwear now you can decorate your space with fun and vibrant clocks, frames and expressive items that you can definitely keep for yourself or share for that special someone. I was shopping for a work buddy who's moving on to greater adventure and was just wandering around Kahala Mall and decided to give them a peek and love the layout of this spacious shop is like browsing around an art gallery. The staff is very nice and pleasant as I browsed around love to see a lounge area as well for those that need a break while others shop is truly a comforting place to find that unique item made special is fun and don't forget to sale section that's in the back of the shop right beside the ornament wall. Thank you!

Natalie was excellent sale lady, she helped me and my sister and friends. We were just got to Waikiki and explored this mall. Love the traditional Hawaiian art and wood work. I think we will be back again

I want to give a special thank you to Maurice from CocoNene for helping us design, package and have an amazing experience. He was a pleasure and made the exquisite products even more enjoyable.

Island Sole features Hawaiian-made products is located in Kahala Mall. The sell several different brands of "flip flop" wear including the coveted (and expensive) Olukai brand. I arrived early on a Wednesday and received excellent service. I picked out a pair of Olukai white sandals that I had seen earlier in the week. The clerk encouraged me to select a smaller size with a better fit. Their Olukais run at $82 but they do have a few styles on sale. They also carry a small wide variety Reef and Birkenstock sandals for women, men and kids. They carry local artistic signs, decor and giftware as well. This is a fun shop to check out if you want aloha experience.

We came in looking for a wedding gift for our relatives living on the mainland. It was a pleasant surprise to find that there was an option for a customizable wooden decor. They have a huge selection of pieces ranging from more decorative pieces, to photo frames, and even clocks to choose from. I love that CocoNene supports local artists as well!

We came in and made a frame for a dear friend. My daughter enjoyed picking out the frame and accessories to decorate around the frame. Such a cute and personalized gift!

As…read morewe approach 2026 so did Shop Toast which used to have a shop in Kaimuki is not online though will do curbside as well was here at the New Year's 'Ohana Festival at JCCH to celebrate the culture of how we celebrate the Japanese New Year. Sticking with the theme the best in my opinion with adorable wooden boxes in the shapes of the kagami mochi stacks, wooden zodiac animal charms and what really really caught my eye was their fortune cookie coin purse which was so thoughtfully crafted to include a fortune in each one is so cool. The unique items they have is what I love and it was nice to meet the crafters behind it along with seeing all the items they carry on hand versus online is more my thing but now know some of their items since I've seen them will give their site a visit for more unique finds and to support this cute local small biz. Hi Andrew, I…read moreordered a Women's Lei from your store for Sunday morning pick-up (May 3rd) and your staff did a great job of handing it over to me. I just want to say that the lei was absolutely beautiful and it got so much attention, even from other lei makers and vendors at the Kalani Pe'a "May Day is Lei Day" Concert at the Historical Hawai'i Theatre in downtown. Your lei was made with Blue Jade and Gardenia and roses. The Blue Jade was spectacular and so fresh and vibrant!! It was really a work of art and my compliments to your lei maker! I found the quality and beauty were off the charts!! I just wanted to tell you about my wonderful first experience with your shop. I plan to continue to purchase all my leis from you going forward, and I will tell all my friends and family about this very impressive experience. Thank you for being there for us and for what you are bringing to our community! Mahalo nui!!

Jamie W and I were waiting for our reservation at The Pig and The Lady (review: https://yelp.to/LhZdZcHz26), so we had time to explore the Kaimuki neighborhood. Beyond the necessary malasada at Pipeline Bakery (review: https://yelp.to/coxyVLI5P8), we were curious about a couple of LGBTQ-owned businesses on Waialae Avenue. One was a fun pet supply emporium, The Public Pet (review: https://yelp.to/XXvGoRe97Q), and this was the other store. There were plenty of things to browse. Clothing and accessories appeared to dominate the main hallway, while housewares, handbag, and fabrics were presented in the back area. There were unique items like colorful hair clips, duck-head umbrellas, and tins of mackerel filets.
