Slippers galore! Island Sole sells all of my favorite brands such as Cobian and Sanuk with every model and color imaginable in one shop. No long do I have to go searching all over the surf shops to look for a specific pair I like but the one HUGE downfall for this convenience is that it is expensive! I've been wearing the Sanuk yoga mat slippers for the past year and a half and I've been buying them at T&C Surf. At Island Sole, the same pair of slippers cost about $4-5 more than the surf shops. I walked over to T&C to compare but unfortunately, they didn't have it in my size...go figure. Check out Island Sole for crazy variety and colors of the most comfy slippers in the market but be prepared to shell out a few more dollars than other places. Service was help and friendly...the girl working must think I have decision issues since I spent at least an hour trying on everything again and again lol. read more

Great place for high quality flip flops "slippers" on Oahu. Pricing is MSRP but service warrants it. Kirsti was extremely helpful in gathering sizes and giving personal input as to what was what. I wear slippers every day, have since a boy while home in Hawaii. The Ohana style by Olu'kai fit like a glove with great arch support. Ask for Kirsti. Easy parking. They are right around the corner from Panda Express, lower level, Kahala Mall in Kaimuki. If you like them, I suggest buying them. Online shopping for flip flops is tricky and can be a real ordeal. Island Sole is a pretty new place right next to Zales at Kahala Mall. BF: Remember at the sidewalk sale T&C had those slippers for like $35? Well I should have bought them. Me: Why whats wrong with the slippers you're wearing? BF: They're falling apart and I went to look and slippers are $50+ Me: WTF? $50+? NOT! BF: Yup! ME: What about that store (Island Sole) they have lots of slippers. BF: Oh I didn't check that store. We were able to find tons of slippers for $20-$25. He bought Cobians (a brand I've never heard about it) There were lots of styles and the sales people were really helpful. They really know their stuff. There were a pair that was $70 and I was like WTF but she was able to tell us that they correct your posture and all this other stuff. I like that they have Havaiians :) Woo hoo! Never had I seen an entire store dedicated to slippers before! I was amazed and impressed with this unassuming store that randomly appeared in Kahala Mall. Funny how in the midst of a recession people are still opening new stores - especially this one that specializes in high end slippers. Granted, this is Hawaii and slippers are a mainstay here, so I guess they're worth an investment. I decided to take a glance around since I was there anyway and, hey, if I find a pair of flip flops worthy, why not? Sadly, I walked away empty handed, but not without hope for the future. Now I know where I'll be getting slippers when the time is right. Upon entering the store, the smell of rubber and "new" surrounds you. That made me feel reassured, comfortable, and, strangely, clean. The lady working was AMAZING. She was super helpful in more ways than expected and was oddly knowledgable about the flip flop industry. I was looking for a pair of Cobian slippers that they appeared to stop making and she was able to empathize, understand, and redirect my attention to something that may be able to replace my long lost slippers. I'm sure there was some kind of commission ploy involved, too, but it didn't change the fact that she knew her slippers. She took me towards the Sanuk slippers and their new yoga mat padding. SO COMFORTABLE! I tried them on and loved the way they felt, but they didn't have the look I wanted so I had to pass. Regardless, she let me know that they were her newest favorite pair and, to be fair, that when the slippers got wet that they were sponge-like and held moisture for an extended period of time. Sounds honest enough to me. I'm such a sucker - if you're helpful, the store is clean, and you're willing to tell me all the pros AND cons of your products - I'll be glad to grant you a sale. This place specializes in comfortable, "high end," slippers with brands such as cobain, sanuk, reef, havaianas, olu kai, and rainbow sandals. There was one person working the front and she was pleasant. Some may think that the footwear is pricey for "just slippers" but remember people, these are high quality sippers that provide comfort, esp for those who wear slippers A LOT. Summary: If you need a fancy (expensive) pair of slippahs then this is the place for you! If you feel like dropping some $$$$ on slippahs that a company will actually BACK a warranty, then come here! Excellent customer service from here as well! LOVED: I forgot her name but the cashier was very friendly, cordial, and informative. I'm a $20 slippah Scott wearer for pretty much all my life, but my fiancee' wanted a specific brand here. I was looking at the $70 Olu Kai slippers and freaking out, but the cashier assured me about a one year warranty backing and boy were they comfortable!!! She showed me all different kind of styles and really took the time for me and my fiancee' to find what we're looking for. And YES I dropped a mad $70 for a single pair of slippahs to test this warranty thing...and sure enough... **UPDATE - My OluKai's broke 4 months later...yup on the strap as almost 99% of all slippahs break at. But sure enough I took them back to Island Sole with a copy of receipt in hand, showed her (the same cashier even!) the breakage and she replaced it right away with a pair of new ones with no questions asked. A mere 5 minute process!! Awesome!!! DID NOT LOVE: And unfair dock of a star, but a dock none-the-less, is the prices. Well, hellooooo it is located in Kahala mall after all so I'm sure the residents can afford, but still though. I used to be one of those folks who said "the cheaper the better" until I had toe surgery and ended up with some neuropathy in my feet. Yikes! My cheap Old Navy slippers for $2 bucks dug into my feet - right where the thong parts are. OUCH! My shoes were hurting me and I was in general, annoyed with how they felt and fit while adujsting during my surgical recover period. Then, I found Island Sole!! Ahhhh, the Sanuk "Yoga Mat" slippers are leather and super soft and cradle your feet. They are a joy to walk on and don't hurt my feet a bit. Then, I found HAVIANAS. When I first saw the price I was like heck no - $28 for rubba slippahs? Eek. Then the old neuropathy kicked in and I tried on a pair of these babies and I will NEVER buy anything BUT Havianas. They are soft, comfortable and have thin thong straps on top. You get what you pay for and sore feet just ain't worth it for me. The Manager is extremely nice and helpful. 12/4/14 6pm. Sure, they have sandals, but only two pairs that I was interested in. The first they didn't have in my size (mens 10 is a common size too). The second was $150. So I didn't buy anything. Also, the two salespeople were nice enough initially, but the young dude needs to lighten up. He asked me no less than three times if I needed help. The first time I asked him to check for my size in the back. The second time I didn't need help. Nor the third time, but I was kind of annoyed he kept pestering me. I was only there for about 10 minutes. Plus, it's not like I'm doing quantum mechanics here, they're just sandals. Nor was I looking to socialize. So I curtly, but politely, said "No, thanks". When I walked out he sardronically said, "Keep smiling bro." Totally inappropriate. Learn to not pester your customers bro. FMIL needed some new slippers, and we were surprised to see a new store at Kahala (we don't go to that mall very often!). We were immediately greeted by both store employees, and they kept a polite distance from us to let us look around for a few minutes before offering their help. Our sales associate, Jamie, was very professional and knowledgeable about the products sold in the store. She first asked my FMIL what kind of features she was looking for in a pair of slippers, and although FMIL was largely unable to articulate specific qualities, Jamie did her best to bring a few of her most comfortable slippers for FMIL to try. Ultimately, FMIL chose a random pair that was not one that was suggested by Jamie, but it was definitely not due to lack of effort or customer service on Jamie's part! She stayed nearby just in case we had questions, but wasn't overbearing or too aggressive. She didn't seem irritated or frustrated that FMIL did not end up choosing one of her recommendations. As others have reviewed, the prices here are a little steep, but you're going for higher end slippers here, and sometimes you just want to be able to go somewhere with a large selection to get what you want/need right away. I love, love, love this slipper store. They have a nice range of brands and seem to always have the nicest people working. I've been very impressed with their customer service and how easily their sales associates talk to customers. You leave with a pair of slippers and a feeling that they really cared about what you wanted. Their prices also appear to be reasonable when comparing it to the online store prices, if you calculate the shipping cost they come out to about the same, sometimes a little cheaper. They also have such a HUGE sale selection filled with smaller sizes, so it's very easy to find something when you have small feet. Wow! This was my first time at Island Sole and I was in pursuit of a classic TOMS in red. They were out of stock on my size; however, the staffer Ramon was super helpful. He called all the other locations to see if they had it - they didn't - but I appreciated the initiative. I left my number so they can let me know when they replenished their stock and just five minutes after leaving the store Ramon called and said it would be in by Thursday. Had a really good experience at Island Sole today. They had a variety of Birkenstocks with different sizes and styles. All of them cost over $104, but they are very comfortable.
