This bank was a good bank with some great service. Now, they seem to be having management problems delegating service in the Covid-19 era. I may have to move my service to a more convenient bank. Very sad they have slid down to a standard bank without all the benefits. Two issues where no one was working the drive-thru's during the normal business day before 4pm. One issue waiting to change my password on the phone with a 30 minute hold time. After 30 mins, a voice said, "can you please continue to hold?" ...... 10 mins later, I had to hang up. read more

Arrived to the bank to cash a check. I'm "not a customer". The bank states I need to have my bank verify then stamp (endorse) and verify the check. My bank is no where near here. The bank (Grove Bank & Trust) called their customer and verified the check that they wrote and I have 3 forms of ID - 1 of them being my military ID. They verified the account is good and has the funds. They still won't cash this check. What's the purpose of writing a check to "cash" if they won't cash the check. Now I have to call their customer and have them come to the bank and get the cash - seems like an avoidable inconvenience for them but I guess not. I let the bank manager know that this day and age with social media and reviews - he interrupted me with "don't threaten me". Well it's no longer a threat sir, thanks for all of your customer service and friendliness. read more

OK so you need $300.00 to open a checking account. But if you go under $800.00 you get a $10 dollar a DAY fee. $10 dollars a day???? To add to this insult you have a $25 dollar fee to make a wire transfer in the US. To receive a wire you get charged $20. Are you kidding me? How are these people in business? Why is anyone supporting this behavior? Just to have Coconut Grove on your checks? This is crazy!!!!! read more

This has to be the most difficult bank on the planet to deal with. First of all the lobby closes at 4:00 pm which makes it almost impossible to get there before closing if you work. Second the online banking is impossible to use and makes you change your password if you do not login frequently, so then you have to go through the trouble of changing your password quite frequently. I was having trouble with my online banking and called and was helped by the rudest woman I have ever had to deal with in my many years of banking. Her name is Lily Fernandez...avoid talking to her if possible. Anyway my advice to all if you looking for a bank that provides convenience and a user friendly online service, and that has convenient lobby hours...avoid this bank like the plague. read more

Every time I'm here, the staff is super friendly but professional. As far as banks go, this isn't the most progressive bank, but they've been open for a long time and have weathered many storms. Awful customer service. Beware of making transfers to individuals with accounts at this bank. If you try to find out any information about the transfer, even with a trace number, they will tell you they can't tell you anything because you don't have an account with them, even though you are providing business for them. read more

I've had checking accounts for over 30 years in different institutions. This is the worse bank ever. If you have a business account do not trust your money with this people. They give you a debit card with the Master Card logo on it but if someone hacks into your account they say your money is not protected and won't even give you a provisional credit while they investigate the unauthorized transactions. The staff is super rude and never know how to answer a question. If you call to report a stolen credit card, good luck . You'll get an answering machine and no one will get back at you. You may send emails through their online banking 'contact us' tab and no one will get back at you. They close at 4:00 pm and when the weather man announces some possible showers in So. Florida, they close too. Over the weekends no costumer service whatsoever. It's awful. Grab your money and Run, run away from this bank and its inept, uneducated rude staff. read more

it seems that yelp now has three classes of reviews: those they recommend, those they don't recommend, and those that they refuse to post at all. one can only guess at how many one star reviews for these jokers have fallen into the third category. the officers of this bank are unethical and incompetent. i will continue to post reviews that mention this important fact (apparently yelp doesn't feel that bank customers would appreciate this information) until it gets posted. as for yelp, time to kick them to the curb. stick with urban spoon and angie's list. at least -- so far as one can see -- the books aren't being cooked. read more
