This was my second time at this restaurant, and most likely my last. My husband ordered the food and he said that he had forgot to take photos. I'm a Yelper, so taking pics and giving feedback, is what I do best. The employee wasn't too pleasant, but she wasn't rude. My phone was in the car, so my husband took the pics for me. The employee said the menu was over there. We were taking photos of everything, like I did the last time I was in the restaurant. But anyway, I ordered a small oxtail dinner and my husband had small jerk chicken dinner. My oxtail dinner was a 3 out of 5 and my husband said his jerk chicken was a 2 out of 5. I didn't have much meat, but the flavor was decent. My husband said the jerk sauce shouldn't be what gives the chicken flavor. The chicken was bland. Also, we ordered beef patties and we didn't like them. :-( It was not crowded, and the restaurant was clean. If I had to do it over again, I would've saved my $53. :-( read more

I went to Coconut Caribbean cuisine location in Fayetteville Ga. today 03/25/24. The ox tails was 30.95 a plate. I purchased three orders over 100.00. They charge a fee for using your debit card. The ox tails was tough and hard to chew . The cabbage was over cooked. The plantains was greasy and burnt. The rice was dry and sticky under the oxtails. They give you a lot of rice hardly no gravy. I will never go to this place ever again. Tried calling but the voice mail says full. No one answers the phone. Terrible food, no flavor. Customer be aware. Make sure you check your food if are going to go here. first time visiting and last. Smh lord help our people. They want you to patronize them but give you terrible food!!!!!! read more

The food was good, not super delicious but not bad either. I purchased the large brown stew chicken with white rice and 3 patties (veggie, chicken and spinach). The brown stew chicken was ok, a lot of the rice was undercooked, the veggie patty was delicious and it was very juicy, the chicken was spicy (I wouldn't have gotten it if they told me that) and mushy (I didn't like the consistency) and the spinach patty was good but the coating was dry (maybe they could've brushed it with some butter). I'm assuming co-co bread didn't come with my food because it wasn't in my bag. The parking was good because this restaurant is located in a plaza. Overall it was decent. read more

Spent a Super Saturday with my cousins yesterday. We journyed to Coconuts Carribean Cuisine to soothe our palates. Woe, upon entering the Carribean Music created you with a smile. The painting on the wall made you feel that you were on the island. The smells of the food was wow, it is time to eat. The owners , Mr. and Mrs. Wayne(Juliet) Williams and Son Marc add an extra flavor to their restaurant. They are so nice, eager to serve and most enjoyable to chat with. I enjoyed Wayne's Curry Chicken, Juliet's Ozing Oxtails and Marc's delicious Sorrel((first time). I had the rest for breakfast this morning. Preparing to return with others real soon. read more

This place is so clean and the service is great. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and veggies and plantain with oxtail gravy. The only reason I took away a star (and honestly would have given 3.5 stars if possible) is because the rice and veggies were bland and the oxtail gravy had a funny taste. But I also had the beef patty and cocoa bread which was delicious. Probably the best I've had of all the JA restaurants I've tried in the area so far. It's a new restaurant so maybe as time goes on they'll tweek recipes and hopefully add more flavor to the rice and peas and the veggies. My whole family is Jamaican so I know really good JA food when I taste it. I'm also from up North where JA restaurants are popular and generally really good. JA restaurants here in GA aren't as good so this restaurant will have to take the flavor up a few notches if they want to build more popularity. Jerk chicken here is really flavorful though and the prices are really fair. You definitely get a good amount of food for your money. Nice to see a JA restaurant in Fayetteville. Ok So I'm going to give this place 4 stars with the intention of really giving it 3.5 but I'll round up because I want them to succeed and hopefully improve on a couple things. Walking into the restaurant you notice how clean the place is. I know that they JUST opened but I've been to my fare share of Caribbean spots that are just dingy. The ladies working here are extremely polite and have great customer service. I got in around 1:45 or so but lunch ends at 1pm...that's too early for lunch prices to end. I would say 3pm but def 2pm at the latest. Some of us have to take late lunches. I ordered the spicy patty and coco bread. Both were good. Spicy patty not very spicy. Not bad, not memorable. It was what it was. I order the small order of Brown stew chicken. The chicken was good but could use a little more flavor. I feel as though the meal lacked some flavor overall. And I know it's just rice and peas but I feel like an American attempted to make rice and peas. You all should revisit the process of making the rice and peas. My wife is Jamaican and this is not acceptable. The plantains were ok and I didn't really touch the cabbage because I was full already. Honestly, I want this place to succeed, that is why I am writing this review. In this area, for a Caribbean spot to do well, you need to provide a more authentic, flavorful meal. Looking forward to trying something else next time in the hopes that you fix the rice problem and pack more flavor. read more

I moved here almost 2 years ago from New York and was not satisfied with some of the Caribbean food I had in the past I bought the jerk chicken which was delicious. She put oxtail gravy over my rice. When I tasted the gravy I had to buy the oxtail dinner before I left. One other thing that I was impressed by was how clean the restroom was. Will be heading back there soon. read more

This was my first time there and it was very clean. The staff was nice. I ordered the curry chicken, jerk chicken, spicy patty, and chicken patty. The jerk was better than most I've had and the spicy patty was delicious. Probably my favorite! I know some reviews said the food was a little bland but I had gravy on my rice and peas and it tasted pretty good. Oh even though the menu says lunch ends at 1:30 they still had the lunch specials posted outside at 1:45. So maybe they offering those specials a little later now? I'm not sure but it doesn't hurt to ask. I really like having this place in Fayetteville so I'm definitely going to keep supporting it. read more

This place gets a star because it was clean and looked nice. The food looked great but was not good at all. I had oxtails and my friend ordered fish. The oxtails were watery and so tough I could barely eat it. I mean who wants to pay $18 bucks for a large oxtail and it's tough and chewy. And to top it off the gravy was so watery and barely had flavor. There plantains are great but I will never go there even if it was for free. I asked for extra gravy more like water and the guy barely splashed my chewy oxtails. Yuck. And I won't even go there with my friends overcooked fish. Don't waste your money. Went to this restaurant on Friday and returned on Monday. Food is very good and the space is clean. It's fairly new so I hope the cleanliness will be kept up. Dined in the restaurant and what struck me immediately was that the space was extremely clean, intimate, and the staff had that "Island Warmth" about them. Food was terrific and tasty. so happy that Fayetteville, Ga now has another Caribbean Restaurant. Congratulations on your new opening! This past weekend (Sat. Feb 10, 2018) we ordered breakfast to go - we placed a call-in order (for 4 of us) for the saltfish and akee with dumplins, bananas, sweet potatoes and plantains. Did not disappoint, the food was super delicious, way more food than we could eat at one sitting. Earliest they could have the order ready was 11:30AM, a bit late for breakfast, so we turned the kiddies carnival viewing party to a brunch instead. It worked perfect! I'm giving them 5 stars because food was delicious, it was ready when we arrived, it was well presented, packaged and we received everything we ordered. Good Luck! read more
