Extremely Disappointed - Worst Dining Experience I've Had…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Sabor in Fayetteville was disappointing from beginning to end. It started the moment we walked in. There was no warm welcome or greeting from the staff. We later discovered a very small sign on the front door stating they were not serving alcohol. No one mentioned this when we were seated. We didn't find out until we started ordering drinks. While there technically was a sign, it was small and easily overlooked. A simple heads-up from the hostess would have gone a long way. We almost left, but decided to stay because we were hungry. Our server, Liz, never introduced herself. She simply began taking orders until we asked for her name. Throughout the meal, she was not warm, friendly, or engaging. Her demeanor made us feel like providing good service simply wasn't a priority. When I asked what type of fish was pictured on the menu, she said she didn't know. I asked if she could check with the kitchen. She seemed reluctant to do so, but eventually returned and simply said it was "blackfish." That wasn't very helpful, but I ordered it anyway based on the recommendation. We also ordered the house dip, which arrived without a serving spoon. When my mother-in-law asked for one, Liz returned with an oversized pot-stirring spoon that was much larger than the serving bowl. We then requested small dishes for sharing, and they came out soaking wet, requiring us to dry them ourselves. Once our food was delivered--by the robot, not our server--we never saw Liz return to ask if everything was okay or if we needed refills, condiments, or anything else. Basic table service was completely absent. The biggest issue came at the end of the meal. We had six people and requested our checks be split into two family groups. The bills were incorrect, and my in-laws were charged separately in a confusing way. After questioning the charges, we believed everything had been corrected. The next day, however, my father-in-law noticed an additional $76 had been charged as a tip on his card, even though his bill was less than $50. When he called the restaurant, he was told that he had authorized that amount as the tip, which he adamantly denies. After he informed them he would dispute the charge with his bank, management agreed to refund the money. I understand restaurants can be short-staffed or experience operational issues. I also understand businesses go through challenges. What is difficult to overlook is the complete lack of communication, inattentive service, poor attention to detail, and the confusion surrounding the final bill. This was, without question, one of the poorest restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. I sincerely hope management invests in better customer service training and tighter oversight of billing procedures so future guests don't have a similar experience. Based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully review their bill and credit card receipt before leaving the restaurant.

It was date night and I wanted to try somewhere new. Of course I was in the mood for tacos so I…read morehopped on Yelp and searched and came across Rose's Tacos. Based on the food pictures and first three reviews, I was sold. I had to go. As Rose's Tacos is right in Downtown Fayetteville it was super easy to find and there was ample parking. As it was a Saturday night, the natural flow of the block added to the vibrant vibe that was coming out of Rose's Tacos as the e door opened and closed. I was already excited before even walking inside. Once inside, the sign advised us to seat ourselves so we sat at the bar. Rose's Tacos is super vibrant, very bright, and has an ambiance that fits date night as well as family night. No matter the tone you are looking to fit, Rose's Tacos is a win. Deciding to sit at the bar, we walked in, headed to our left and took a seat. Once at the bar, the bartender greeted us with a smile, welcomed us to Rose's Tacos, and provided us with menus. Rose's Tacos has a broad selection of food. Though it is a Mexican restaurant, there are a few American favorites on the menu. LoL!!! After taking a moment going back and forth on what I wanted as there were sooooooo many appealing options, I decided on a Steak Burrito with Fries and a Sweet Tea. Simple yet intricate. As we waited, the bartender delivered the complimentary Chips and Salsa and they set the tone for my tongue-readiness. LoL! The chips were crunchy and fresh. Not too salty yet salty enough. The salsa was flavorful and smooth with the right amount of chunkiness. Oh yes, Rose's Tacos understands the importance of a good Chip and Salsa to set the food tone. Once my food was ready and I could see the waitress walking it over, I felt my stomach smile. Haha!!! The playing was simple yet pretty and the food smelled amazing. The scents alone captured the attention of my taste buds and forced them to pay attention to what was on my plate. The Steak Burrito was filled with fresh ingredients, robust flavors, and perfectly done meat. The meat to fixins ratio was spot on and the grilled-ness of the shell married everything together so well. I'm talking Burrito perfection. The fries were well done just as I had requested and were golden brown, perfectly salted, and paired perfectly with the burrito. I mean geesh. What a better way to end a Friday night then with a great meal from Rose's Tacos! All is all, my experience at Rose's Tacos was stellar. From the service to the ambiance to the establishment itself. It was clean, customer focused, and inviting. I will definitely be back. Oh yeah, and the Sweat Tea... Yes Ma'ammmmmmmmmm. Whoever made that sweet tea knew I was coming because it was Southern Perfection.

Now, why didn't anyone tell me about Frida's?…read more I came here for Cinco de Mayo, my favorite holiday in the entire world -- and they did not disappoint. I was a little nervous about the crowds, but my party slid in right before things got wild and got seated immediately. The service? Outstanding. I still don't know how the staff kept up, but our server never missed a beat. The music was a whole vibe, the DJ was on point, and the playlist kept the energy high all night. I ordered the Shrimp Bowl and WOW. I'd come back just for that. Usually, I need extra protein, but the standard portion here is no joke. You will not leave hungry. And the tableside guac? Hands down the best I've ever had, chunky, fresh, and those tomatoes and onions were everything. Now let's talk about the margaritas. Listennnnn. We had no idea how big a 32oz really was until it hit us. We thought we were going bar hopping afterward... absolutely not. I'd 100% come back. Thank you, Frida's, for such a great experience.

They do offer 12 oz house margaritas at half off from 5-7 PM on Sundays, which is a nice option. The space is large with plenty of seating, including a separate bar area. It has a tropical feel throughout and works well for both groups and casual dining. Everything was clean, and the atmosphere felt relaxed but lively. Kicked it off with their soft serve margarita, refreshing and smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. Their drinks menu is wide offering something for everyone. For appetizers, we started with the Eagles Landing dip, a mix of shrimp, steak, and chicken. It's creamy, cheesy, and easy to share. While they offer flour tortillas, I'd recommend going with the corn for a better balance. The BBQ wings were actually really good, not oversized, well-seasoned all the way through, and saucy without being messy. For mains, we ordered the whole fried mojarra and the pollo tequila. The fish was a good size, crispy on the outside, and fresh and meaty inside. The pollo tequila was juicy and flavorful with shrimp, roasted corn, and poblano. The only thing I'd tweak is the rice, it was a bit soft and could use more seasoning. For dessert, the tres leches cake is a must, light, soaked just right, and full of flavor. Definitely worth the calories. Service was smooth from start to finish. Our server, Arely, was attentive and made sure everything flowed well without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd come back during the week to check out their lunch specials and happy hour. Table Approved. Shallonztable
