The prices were the best I have found for Talavera Pottery and the metal artwork is top notch. The unique and hard to find nautical items I look for are everywhere in the shop. I have several pieces of the antique furniture in my home that were restored by the owner and other artisans from the area. If you're looking for great quality items at a very fair price, Artisan's Gallery is a place you need to Include on your list here at the Beach. The owner, Phillip, goes out of his way to serve his customers and even keeps a book of what you are looking for. When he finds it, he'll call you and even deliver larger pieces. Extremely Disappointed After Years as a Loyal Customer I am…read moreespecially disappointed with Garden City Furniture - I was a longtime, repeat customer. Over the years, I purchased multiple sofas, swivel chairs, tables, a cabinet, and a large area rug--enough furniture to furnish several rooms. On June 30, 2026, I purchased a Flexsteel Score 7-piece sectional and paid a 50% deposit of $4,676.40. Our signed contract clearly identified the style and configuration and specifically stated that all pieces were to be covered in Kashmira Mushroom. 9 days later, the salesperson contacted me and said there was a problem with the order. I was told Flexsteel could not produce it as specified and that I would need to pay more than $6,000 additional to get the order as written. The problem was represented to me as being Flexsteel's. I questioned that explanation, and eventually store manager Mike Florian became involved. After a series of conflicting explanations, he ultimately texted me confirming that the order would be processed as written. Garden City Furniture later reversed course, explaining that the store had used the wrong coding and that the frame/fabric combination could not be produced as ordered. I acknowledge the coding error. But the contract was not ambiguous: it specifically described the furniture and stated that all of it would be in Kashmira Mushroom. I then contacted other authorized Flexsteel dealers and learned that the Score can be ordered in Kashmira Mushroom. I ultimately found the exact same seven-piece configuration in the exact same fabric at Hickory Park Furniture in North Carolina. The price difference was substantial. Flexsteel prices Kashmira Mushroom at the same level as its leather, but even after paying delivery charges from NC, I paid approximately $2,000 less than Garden City Furniture's price for the identical furniture. What is perhaps most disappointing is how Garden City Furniture handled my efforts to resolve this. I made several attempts to speak directly with an owner, but those attempts were blocked by store management, including Mike Florian. Despite our years as customers, Garden City Furniture never offered to match the price, split the difference, or otherwise make a meaningful effort to retain our business. I can understand a mistake. I cannot understand the conflicting explanations, the demand for more than $6,000 to fulfill what was expressly written in our contract, the refusal to let me speak with an owner, and the complete lack of effort to make things right. In the end, I found the exact furniture elsewhere, paid less, and learned a very disappointing lesson about customer loyalty. (Give Hickory Park Furniture in Hickory, NC a try - they're wonderfully helpful, and offer great pricing! I saved an additional 20%!) Garden City Furniture has lost my trust and my business. After years of being a loyal customer, I cannot recommend them.

My mom asked if Michelle was there, and she indeed was. Basically last time she was there on her own, Michelle looked at photos of the room that the artwork is going, and made her best recommendation based upon that. And to boot, that artwork has looked great in the rooms my mom got artwork for. So in that note, we asked for her to do the same thing, and we showed her some pictures of the room. We also looked around the store and did find some pictures that worked, for at least one of the rooms. After we looked around the store itself, Michelle showed us her recommendations and we went with one of them. We left with a picture of a house and boats on the water. But it didn't end there, Michelle said that she will text my mom some ideas for the other room, and perhaps find an option that one can order for! Love that! Went home with a photo, paid via credit card, and will definitely be back for our shopping needs, and highly recommend Michelle!
